HeartKids is a non-profit organisation focused on Childhood
Heart Disease (CHD).Heartkids is a fantastic organisation that is
dedicated to helping and supporting families of children with
heart disease, as well as raising funds for research towards finding
a cure.
HeartKids’ aim is to reduce the incidence and mortality rates of
CHD, whilst enhancing the quality of life of these children and
their families.

Childhood Heart Disease (CHD) is not a single condition, it
includes a wide range of defects that a child is born with or
develops as a result of other illnesses. These conditions are not a
result of lifestyle factors.

Every day, 6 babies in Australia are born
with heart defects
Childhood Heart disease is one of the
leading causes of death of infants under
the age of one
Approximately half of all children born
with heart disease require surgery to
correct the defect
3. How can you get involved?
There are a number of different ways that your organisation or
community group could engage with HeartKids, and raise funds
to support Childhood Heart Disease (CHD) Children and their
families through their hardship.
The funds you raise from being a Super Boss go toward
supporting children with heart disease and their families, whilst
raising awareness and funding vital research for this chronic
disease.
