Descriptive Essay On My Dream House
Everyone has a "dream house", they just rely on your opinions and beliefs. You can have a
modern dream house, or maybe a vintage dream house. You can also either live in the woods, in
the city, or even right by the beach! You can be by yourself, or you can have lots and lots of
roommates. You can have lots of neighbors, or maybe even none at all! You could live off of a
mountain, or maybe on a paved street. First of all, my house would be in the woods, away from
everyone else. I would also live in a modern looking log cabin. It has always been a dream of mine
to live in a log cabin. I also want to live in a modern house, so if you mix the two together, that
would just be perfect for me. I think that if you live in the woods, which is secluded from
everyone else, with a few friends, life would be perfect. My house would be a two story, modern
looking log cabin with lights all around the outside so it would look beautiful at night. I would
also have 4 roommates. They would all be my best friends and we would have lots and lots of fun
in our house. My roommates' names are Kian, Jc, Franny, and Bobby. They are all people that I
would have the most fun living with. Kian, Jc, and Bobby are all boys while Franny and I would
be the only girls. Sometimes, two guys named Harrison and Anderson would live with us for about
a month to two months at a time. They would also be really fun to live with, and would basically be
roommates. I think these people would be the best roommates

What I Call Home
In life everyone has their own dreams, whether it be about cars, houses, or their career. Most
people I know dream to have the biggest and luxurious houses but I was always satisfied with mine.
My house is not a tiny apartment nor a huge mansion but a two story, plain brown brick cozy house
with white painted doors. The front yard is decorated with beautiful flowers; roses, lilies, violets,
dahlias, daisies and much more, my mother usually plant them. She says, "Flowers are a pleasure
and perfection of nature, and they give many things to people, and it does not matter if you are rich
or poor, they give you a wonderful world which makes you feel happy". It definitely makes her and
our neighbors happy. She shares the...show more content...
After dinner, majority of the time everyone goes out or straight to their rooms but occasionally we'll
sit in the living room and watch television together. My living room is probably the coziest place
in my house. The walls are partially decorated with pieces of wood. It resembles the interior of a
cottage. There are four black leather couches and a wooden coffee table that sits in the middle. My
mother usually makes tea or coffee for us. She'll also bring out a bowl of sliced fruits, nuts and
put it on the coffee table. After watching a movie or soap opera on satellite, everyone goes to their
room and gets ready for bed. In the mornings when I wake up, the first thing I tend to do is step
outside to my backyard to get a nice fresh air. My backyard is fairly big, also one of the main
reasons why my parents decided to buy it. There's a little slide door in the dining room that leads
to a dark brown deck. You'll see a green patio table, chairs and a barbecue. Also, in the corner of
my backyard you'll see a small portion of the yard fenced. That's my mothers garden, where she
grows tomatoes, peppers, onions, eggplants, parsley, lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers and many
others that I can't recall. Both my dad and my mom love to grow organic vegetables and fruits.
Around my backyard you'll also see a raspberry bush, pear, peach, cherry, apricot,

A Descriptive Essay About My House
One place that I see every day but don't put much attention to is my house. The house that I live in
is near by a park and a gas station. My house is small and cozy is made of steel frames, the anterior
part of the house has a beige and pink color that combine a beautiful shade. The inside of my house
has many portraits of family members and drawings. I have a total of two bathrooms and four
rooms a kitchen and two living rooms. We have a living room that's used for grownā€“ups and the
other one is used for the children. The kitchen table and chairs are made of wood, in the ceiling
there is big chandelier. The walls of my house are painted in different colors that are green, beige
and pink. I like that every room has its own different color, it's not boring it brings life and shade.
My house contains many memories of my childhood is where I grew up, I know every part of it
and its secrets locations. When I was a child I used to hide in the attic, nobody would found me
because no one knew where it was. Every time I enter my house I get a feeling of welcoming and
comfort, leaving the house would make me sad. I celebrated many things like birthdays, baptisms
and graduations, it means everything to me. It's a huge piece that gives me safety and protects me
from the rain, sun and winter. My house also has protected me from the outside world and violence.
I don't think I would ever want to move out, the walls have many scars from crayons and holes. The
floor needs remodeling but

Many things could've woken me up that morning: My own worry and fault for not being able to
sleep, the moving trucks constant beeping reminding me of my soon departure, or the alarm my
mom set the night before. Either way I was going to end up going to bed that night the same way,
on the floor of my new house, miles away from my home. I woke with the battle of not knowing
whether I was dreaming or if this was reality, and for a few short seconds before my conscious
told me why I was up, I had completely forgotten the day ahead of me. I look around at my once
poster filled walls of bad boy bands and teen movies. My poster board of movie stubs and notes I
had passed around with my friends now perfectly packed up into categorized and clearly labelled
containers. I have moved enough in my life to know the drill, though I thought I wouldn't have to
ever recall it again. I have to start packing the week before, and remember to leave the essentials
out the night before. On the foot of my bed were the only things not packed and bound for my new
home. I had my hair dryer for my long brown unmanageable hair, makeup, a mirror, two sets of
clothing, and the necklace my grandma gave me before she passed, which was to remind me that
home is not a place but the people that I take to those places. My grandma always knew how much
moving for dad's job had affected me, and I really thought this was the last time I had to feel that
way. Earlier that week, my mom came into my room to

Descriptive Essay On My Family Home
In a small town called Whigham located in the southwest part of Georgia is a home numbered
201 in the middle of Harrell Avenue Northwest. The home is shaded by a mighty oak tree, its
exterior is white in color with a forest green metal door and window trim painted forest green to
match the door. On the outside this house is full of plant life, two domestic dogs that guard the
home from morning to night, and wild animals living off the provisions of the land. The inside of
the house is full of geckos, family, and love. This is the house I was raised in since my mother and
father brought me home from Grady General Hospital in January 1991. This home will forever be
my safety and my coziness.
This small family home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, one laundry room, a pantry with a dog
kennel built on the side, a kitchen, and a coat closet in the foyer. The entire house was located on
one level except two of the bedrooms which is located down the stairs on the front of the house; the
bedroom to the left down the stairs was my room. My room walls were painted baby blue in color
with a bright orange glass sun located over my headboard that was shaped like skyscrapers in New
York City. The carpet that was in my room was as soft as clouds and was milk chocolate brown in
color. The bonus to my bedroom was the walkā€“in closet that held my black wood book shelf, twelve
pairs of shoes, twenty dresses, five pants, and my brown wooden dresser with a mirror that had old

Descriptive Essay About My Dream House
My beach house
How do you picture your dream house? Well, I have always had a fancy picture in my head of my
dream house. I want an extravagant, simple, nice sized house located on the beach somewhere in
Florida like the one I visited last year.
The view is amazing. The palm trees dancing in the wind. The waves rolling, slowly coming to a
stop. The golden sand spreads softly as it emerges with the clear water. The crystalblue water spread
miles and miles upon the beautiful sea bringing in many sea creatures. The red ants in the sand
glared at the pink toenail polish on my feet. As the golden orange sunset, all the different types of
people began to watch it. Hundreds of people reflect off the orangey, sparkling, water reminding
me of a scene in the Lion King. People of all races are amazed as the sun sets. Across from the
dock, there is a colorful lady with pink and purple sunglasses arguing with a 6tf tall man for
blocking her view. As the sunset continues, big black bugs start to fly ready to reclaim their home.
The smell was extremely interesting. The aroma of saltwater, sweat, dirty kids, and animal poop
takes control of the air. Although, the smell is not as pleasant as I expected; it does not take away
from the extraordinary experience. The further went from the beach, the smell started to disappear.
As we reach the beach house , the smell of Bath and Body Works sweet pea candles emerge from the
lantern shaped oil warmers. A few feet down for the oil warmers lie a

I looked back at my house, the green peeling paint on the door, the ripped screen door, the huge
window at the top of the house, from which you could see into my room, and I only had one
thought, this is no longer my home. I tore my gaze away from the house and entered the car. The
floor had so much of our boxes and suitcases, I was forced to lift my feet so I could fit. My
neighbors weren't home yet, so I wasn't able to say goodbye to them. I wished they were there.
I'd always been really close with my neighbors. They took care of me when my sister was born,
and waited for my grandpa to take me to the hospital. I was especially close to the neighborhood
kids; ever since I could talk they came over almost every week. I wondered if my new
neighborhood would be like this. The engine vroomed to life and away from the beautiful, old
house we went. In less than ten minutes, we arrived at my new house. The front was undeniably
gorgeous. The grass was not the yellowish brown brought on from the drought, instead it was a
lively green that I had dreams about running in. The fall leaves around the trees enhanced the
feeling of Christmas soon to come and the stairs leading up to the front door were clean. They had
no muddy footprints that I was so used to seeing on my concrete. I walked up the steps slowly. I
had a halfā€“witted hope that if I moved slow enough I'd end up back at the Azusa house. I didn't
move slow enough. I walked through the doorway and into a corridor type area

Descriptive Essay About Home
My definition for home cannot be described by words or by a simple thought, but home is rather
of a feeling. Home is the calmness and serenity that settles over me like a blanket on a cold snowy
night, just a silent assurance telling me I belong there. It took me quite a bit of time to understand
where exactly that place was, and I didn't know that the answer was always right in front of me.
This feeling would come and go, and I would never recognize it because I knew that only the
house I lived in was my home. I never realized that the place I lived was not my home, that home
was in fact more than what the words in the dictionary say.
When I was younger, I lived in the Philippines, my backyard were the rice fields and I would...show

During lunch, my grandma and mother would cook in the kitchen and set up the food in the big
picnic basket to later share with everyone. We would walk along to thefield and my job was to carry
the cold water jug. As we reached the field, all the farmers would smile and greet us, and some
would even admire me for being such a helper. At lunchtime, I sat there along with all those
workers, eating with them and listening. Their conversations mostly consists of the weather and
how they could improve the rice farm. Often, I would make a comment saying, "Don't worry, I will
help", and they loved me. I was the farm's little helperā€“ā€“ā€“this was my home.
There was a tiny pond with a small bridge in beside our old house. The water was so clear that you
could see your reflection, just like a mirror. The summer was the fishing season; I was on a mission.
I had my brightā€“pink, half gallon bucket in one hand and a little piece of mosquito net on the other.
I wore my shorts and my favourite Tā€“shirt, with my long hair tied back, a true fisher look, I thought.
I put my biggest toe in first to check the temperature of the water, but I always ended up soaking
myself all the way, up to my head trying to catch the fish ā€“ā€“ now that's working hard! My friends
and I filled that brightā€“pink bucket full and our hearts were filled with the sense of

Clink! Bang! Crash! The my closet is overflowing once again. My small house is maybe a little
too small. I walked to the kitchen to get something to eat. I see the kitchen closet is overflowing
with pots and pans, again. The kitchen has a polished wooden floor easy to slip on if you're
wearing socks. Our kitchen is small, but big enough to put items on the shining counter. I looked
out to our backyard, I spot some fluffy looking white bunnies hopping along, eating the carrots I left
out for them. I dragged my body down the long hallway to my mother and father's room. I complain,
"This house doesn't have enough space!" My parents look at each other with a depressed look and
sigh, " We need to find a new house." The next morning it was a Saturday, I got dressed in so
comfortable clothes and headed towards the living room. I sat on the light brown colored couch.
The couch had different patterns, including the pillows. I picked up the remote and flicked on
some TV shows. I was in the middle of watching a show, when My mom and dad come to me with
an excited look on their morning faces. The light came in, shining on them like they're on stage.
There was a long silence, you could hear a pin drop. I looked at my mom then dad and did it
again. Until my dad finally spat it out, "We found a house were going today and seeing it!" I felt
my excitement was about to burst. At the end of the car ride, I stepped out the car door. I heard the

What is Home? Essay
What is home? If one looks in a dictionary the answer would come out to be, "The place where one
lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household." However, for anyone who
has had an actual home, they would know that such a term goes much beyond its concrete
description. It is an impassioned aspect filled with values and foundation of nurturing. A home is
not just an abode built to live in; in fact, that is just a definition of a house. Home is a place where
one not only feels comfortable, but a place they look forward to opportunely live in every day. A
home is built not by bricks or wood, but with the bond of family. A home is a place that reminds a
person of countless memories and values when he walks through a...show more content...
Family is what makes a house a home; this statement is undeniably precise. A person could have
every material entity in the entire world, but it would mean nothing if he does not have someone
to share it with. In other words, home is also semantically related to sharing the happiness, grief,
and material things with one's family. A home gives people a place to care about the people that
mean the most to them. It is a place to tell amusing tales, a good story, or make memorable
memories with one another. Furthermore, home is more than a place; it is a feeling. It is a
feeling of contentment and happiness that they share with the ones they love. Moreover, home is
when one knows they are with people that can drive them insane in a second, and the same people
can make them happy in a second as well. Home means that no matter what one is going through,
no matter how challenging life gets, there will be someone looking out for them. One knows that a
place is their home when they are comfortable enough to present a true description of themselves,
because they know that they will receive definitive acceptance. It is a sanctuary for them where
they can do anything they please and not be judged afterwards. It is where one can share the
absurdity of their day without any remorse or repercussions. The reason why people say that a
person only has one true home is because one will

Descriptive Essay About My House
As I am walking home from school I take the time to look around my surroundings. Leaves a
variety of reds, oranges and yellows descend from the trees and encase the ground like a blanket.
The wind begins to pick up, building miniature vortexes with the leaves and dropping them off to
their new locations. There is not much to Stowe, Vermont: a couple of convenience stores, a few
diners scattered, parks and widely spaces houses that stretch down for a few miles. Extravagant

few weeks. A couple of weeks ago, some contractors came into town looking to buy it off and
build it into a huge downtown complex for the surrounding cities. These has been going on for
the past few years, one by one like Russian roulette, a town is picked off and turned into what my
father calls a "super city," over the top houses, business buildings and shopping areas are built in
hopes of making a profit off of them. What makes this situation even worse is that it wasn't really
forced upon us, the towns had a choice has on whether or not they wanted to have their little
upgrade. How can someone do that? Money has consumed the thoughts of many and has
influenced others to make decisions that they probably will regret in the future and it worries me.
I have a feeling that tomorrow, many will say yes and we'll lose this town forever, but I will not
let that happen. I physically cannot sit at the meeting tomorrow and watch the people of this town
devalue it in hopes of finding satisfaction in the money. Tired, I excuse myself from the table, I

The House Of My Dream House Essay
My Dream Home
Home, the place one spends more time in their life and share special moments with family. Where
one expects to live permanently carefree, feel protected under the roof of their house. One day I
want to have a home that makes me feel well and where I can be safe and happy. The purpose of

innovations and new modern technological advances. . I would like my house count as much as

The major distinction between these modern houses is that they are painted white, and I want mine

My Old House
My old house has some of my greatest memories and experiences as a child. My mom, dad, uncle
and grandma were the caretakers of me, my older brother, and two older sisters. As you can tell, we
had a huge family. They immigrated to America 20 years ago to start a family. I remembered we
had a huge back yard with a lot of nature around. My parents who were farmers really knew how to
take care of plants and animals. Every day my parents would tend to their garden. Life was very
carefree. I remembered vividly my fond memories of my childhood. I remember watching scary
movies with my siblings in the living room sitting on the sofa. Some of my favorite movies were
scary movies like "Children of the Corn" or "Goosebumps". The only problem was having
nightmares or dreams of ghosts or spirits walking across my room. I remembered a big white blur
floating through the edge of my bed where my parents and my siblings all slept together. The
creepy part was having a huge mirror in the room where it was believed to be the gateway to and
from other dimensions, or when I thought I saw my sister transform into a demon right before my
eyes. I remember not being able to sleep all night because of it. I remembered waking up in the
middle of the night with sweat running throughout my body. Things were freaky and paranormal but
in the end, I realized that things were normal. Watching all those scary movies

place where I can really be myself and do what I want; it's the place I come home to, and wake up

don't have in other places, it helps me to have trust in myself, I can do the most ridiculous thing
but my room won't say anything, it will never judge me. My room is the only place where I will
try new things and if I feel confident I will try them outside of it. I will give it my best and that is
how my room helps me, by doing something there first I believe more in myself.
It is the place where I can concentrate and think about everything that is going on around me, not
only around my city or state, but all over the world. I get the chance to relax and think in what I
want to do with my life, the kind of future I want to achieve. My room is the place where I can go
and do my homework without getting distracted, where I can write down my feelings and open
my mind to new ideas. Many times I have gone to my room and just write about things that are
going around in the world that will affect me sooner or later, like global warming. I will think about
everything I have heard, and my room makes me feel comfortable like there is nothing that can stop
me from making a comment and saying what is on my mind.

Descriptive Essay About My Home
Whenever I hear the word home, I immediately think about a small town about an hour northeast
of Madison. I was born and raised in this small town and hope to return to or near it after college.
Even though I live in Madison now, home to me is Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. My idea about what
home is has changed over time due to different life events, such as hard times and going to college
to continue my education. The one thing that hasn't changed though is the place that I consider my
home. My entire life I lived in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. When I was about two years old, myfamily
moved out into the country, a move that I don't recall, but have seen pictures of. One of my
favorite pictures from the move is of me sitting in a box full of white packing peanuts, smiling
from ear to ear at the camera. The house we moved into in the Hammer Hills neighborhood was
and still is what I consider my home. The first thing that people notice about our house isn't even
our house at all. It is the towering pine trees lined up in two long rows that run the length of our
property line in front of our house. In total, there are approximately 24 pine trees. My parents
decided to plant the rows of pine trees to act as a wind block to help with blowing and drifting
snow in the winter. The only problem was that it would take several years for the trees to finally
serve their purpose. When they were planted, they were only whips, as my parents call them, just a

dogs, rabbits, had roamed. It was hard to comprehend that I would never live in this house again;
seeing the once lively spaces now empty brought countless memories back to me, overwhelming
me with nostalgia. It was difficult to handle my conflicting inner feelings. On one hand, I was sad
to be leaving my childhood home, the keeper of countless secrets and memories, but at the same

My dream is to live in a big detached house surrounded by a big garden full of flowers and trees. I
wouldn't like to live in an apartment with blocks of flats and rude neighbour's making noise in the

characteristics that represent my spiritual world and personality with its location as well as its inner

Since the outside of my dream house would let me be alone with nature and fill my soul with peace

In my opinion, each person has a dream house that continues to remain on his mind as long as he
lives. Places we spend our life is very significant because our moods are affected by the design and
the location. If we live in a place filled with noise, chaos and air pollution our feelings would tend
to be negative. On the contrary, if we live in a place close to the serenity of nature, our minds,
bodies and spirits will be filled with positive energies. That's why I'd like my dream house be

Descriptive Essay About My House
The street I live on has a lot of houses on it and mine just happens to be one of them. Each house has
its own driveway, each unique in its own way. Most of them are paved driveways, but mine happens
to be made from hard pack. I can picture the driveway when it was built, still in the same place and
still being made of rocks. The driveway to my house is a narrow driveway made from hard pack and
about as wide as one and Š’Š… car widths. My driveway separates my house from my neighbors and
serves as a place to park cars. It's not perfect and doesn't appear to have been made by professionals.
It doesn't have sharp clean edges, instead it just fades away at the ends. Its composition is not
uniform. Millions of small rocks scattered to from the driveway, each rock varying in size from a
grain of sand, to a small stone the size of a pingā€“pong ball. Each rock varying in color, size, shape,
and type of rock making each one unique. A strip of grass runs down the length of one side
forming a boundary between the driveway and my neighbor's house. A stone wall runs down the
length of the driveway closest to my house and extends out a couple feet. This allows rain dripping
from the roof to land in a gravel pit instead of allowing rain to erode the surface. It has some weeds
growing along the edges that sometimes invade bits of the driveway sprouting up in almost random
locations nowhere near the grass. There are anthills in random locations throughout it. Though It
appears to be built for

Description Of My House Essay

  • 1. Descriptive Essay On My Dream House Everyone has a "dream house", they just rely on your opinions and beliefs. You can have a modern dream house, or maybe a vintage dream house. You can also either live in the woods, in the city, or even right by the beach! You can be by yourself, or you can have lots and lots of roommates. You can have lots of neighbors, or maybe even none at all! You could live off of a mountain, or maybe on a paved street. First of all, my house would be in the woods, away from everyone else. I would also live in a modern looking log cabin. It has always been a dream of mine to live in a log cabin. I also want to live in a modern house, so if you mix the two together, that would just be perfect for me. I think that if you live in the woods, which is secluded from everyone else, with a few friends, life would be perfect. My house would be a two story, modern looking log cabin with lights all around the outside so it would look beautiful at night. I would also have 4 roommates. They would all be my best friends and we would have lots and lots of fun in our house. My roommates' names are Kian, Jc, Franny, and Bobby. They are all people that I would have the most fun living with. Kian, Jc, and Bobby are all boys while Franny and I would be the only girls. Sometimes, two guys named Harrison and Anderson would live with us for about a month to two months at a time. They would also be really fun to live with, and would basically be roommates. I think these people would be the best roommates Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Dream House Essay What I Call Home In life everyone has their own dreams, whether it be about cars, houses, or their career. Most people I know dream to have the biggest and luxurious houses but I was always satisfied with mine. My house is not a tiny apartment nor a huge mansion but a two story, plain brown brick cozy house with white painted doors. The front yard is decorated with beautiful flowers; roses, lilies, violets, dahlias, daisies and much more, my mother usually plant them. She says, "Flowers are a pleasure and perfection of nature, and they give many things to people, and it does not matter if you are rich or poor, they give you a wonderful world which makes you feel happy". It definitely makes her and our neighbors happy. She shares the...show more content... After dinner, majority of the time everyone goes out or straight to their rooms but occasionally we'll sit in the living room and watch television together. My living room is probably the coziest place in my house. The walls are partially decorated with pieces of wood. It resembles the interior of a cottage. There are four black leather couches and a wooden coffee table that sits in the middle. My mother usually makes tea or coffee for us. She'll also bring out a bowl of sliced fruits, nuts and put it on the coffee table. After watching a movie or soap opera on satellite, everyone goes to their room and gets ready for bed. In the mornings when I wake up, the first thing I tend to do is step outside to my backyard to get a nice fresh air. My backyard is fairly big, also one of the main reasons why my parents decided to buy it. There's a little slide door in the dining room that leads to a dark brown deck. You'll see a green patio table, chairs and a barbecue. Also, in the corner of my backyard you'll see a small portion of the yard fenced. That's my mothers garden, where she grows tomatoes, peppers, onions, eggplants, parsley, lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers and many others that I can't recall. Both my dad and my mom love to grow organic vegetables and fruits. Around my backyard you'll also see a raspberry bush, pear, peach, cherry, apricot, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. A Descriptive Essay About My House One place that I see every day but don't put much attention to is my house. The house that I live in is near by a park and a gas station. My house is small and cozy is made of steel frames, the anterior part of the house has a beige and pink color that combine a beautiful shade. The inside of my house has many portraits of family members and drawings. I have a total of two bathrooms and four rooms a kitchen and two living rooms. We have a living room that's used for grownā€“ups and the other one is used for the children. The kitchen table and chairs are made of wood, in the ceiling there is big chandelier. The walls of my house are painted in different colors that are green, beige and pink. I like that every room has its own different color, it's not boring it brings life and shade. My house contains many memories of my childhood is where I grew up, I know every part of it and its secrets locations. When I was a child I used to hide in the attic, nobody would found me because no one knew where it was. Every time I enter my house I get a feeling of welcoming and comfort, leaving the house would make me sad. I celebrated many things like birthdays, baptisms and graduations, it means everything to me. It's a huge piece that gives me safety and protects me from the rain, sun and winter. My house also has protected me from the outside world and violence. I don't think I would ever want to move out, the walls have many scars from crayons and holes. The floor needs remodeling but Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Descriptive Essay About My New Home Many things could've woken me up that morning: My own worry and fault for not being able to sleep, the moving trucks constant beeping reminding me of my soon departure, or the alarm my mom set the night before. Either way I was going to end up going to bed that night the same way, on the floor of my new house, miles away from my home. I woke with the battle of not knowing whether I was dreaming or if this was reality, and for a few short seconds before my conscious told me why I was up, I had completely forgotten the day ahead of me. I look around at my once poster filled walls of bad boy bands and teen movies. My poster board of movie stubs and notes I had passed around with my friends now perfectly packed up into categorized and clearly labelled containers. I have moved enough in my life to know the drill, though I thought I wouldn't have to ever recall it again. I have to start packing the week before, and remember to leave the essentials out the night before. On the foot of my bed were the only things not packed and bound for my new home. I had my hair dryer for my long brown unmanageable hair, makeup, a mirror, two sets of clothing, and the necklace my grandma gave me before she passed, which was to remind me that home is not a place but the people that I take to those places. My grandma always knew how much moving for dad's job had affected me, and I really thought this was the last time I had to feel that way. Earlier that week, my mom came into my room to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Descriptive Essay On My Family Home In a small town called Whigham located in the southwest part of Georgia is a home numbered 201 in the middle of Harrell Avenue Northwest. The home is shaded by a mighty oak tree, its exterior is white in color with a forest green metal door and window trim painted forest green to match the door. On the outside this house is full of plant life, two domestic dogs that guard the home from morning to night, and wild animals living off the provisions of the land. The inside of the house is full of geckos, family, and love. This is the house I was raised in since my mother and father brought me home from Grady General Hospital in January 1991. This home will forever be my safety and my coziness. This small family home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, one laundry room, a pantry with a dog kennel built on the side, a kitchen, and a coat closet in the foyer. The entire house was located on one level except two of the bedrooms which is located down the stairs on the front of the house; the bedroom to the left down the stairs was my room. My room walls were painted baby blue in color with a bright orange glass sun located over my headboard that was shaped like skyscrapers in New York City. The carpet that was in my room was as soft as clouds and was milk chocolate brown in color. The bonus to my bedroom was the walkā€“in closet that held my black wood book shelf, twelve pairs of shoes, twenty dresses, five pants, and my brown wooden dresser with a mirror that had old engravings Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Descriptive Essay About My Dream House My beach house How do you picture your dream house? Well, I have always had a fancy picture in my head of my dream house. I want an extravagant, simple, nice sized house located on the beach somewhere in Florida like the one I visited last year. The view is amazing. The palm trees dancing in the wind. The waves rolling, slowly coming to a stop. The golden sand spreads softly as it emerges with the clear water. The crystalblue water spread miles and miles upon the beautiful sea bringing in many sea creatures. The red ants in the sand glared at the pink toenail polish on my feet. As the golden orange sunset, all the different types of people began to watch it. Hundreds of people reflect off the orangey, sparkling, water reminding me of a scene in the Lion King. People of all races are amazed as the sun sets. Across from the dock, there is a colorful lady with pink and purple sunglasses arguing with a 6tf tall man for blocking her view. As the sunset continues, big black bugs start to fly ready to reclaim their home. The smell was extremely interesting. The aroma of saltwater, sweat, dirty kids, and animal poop takes control of the air. Although, the smell is not as pleasant as I expected; it does not take away from the extraordinary experience. The further went from the beach, the smell started to disappear. As we reach the beach house , the smell of Bath and Body Works sweet pea candles emerge from the lantern shaped oil warmers. A few feet down for the oil warmers lie a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Descriptive Essay About My New House I looked back at my house, the green peeling paint on the door, the ripped screen door, the huge window at the top of the house, from which you could see into my room, and I only had one thought, this is no longer my home. I tore my gaze away from the house and entered the car. The floor had so much of our boxes and suitcases, I was forced to lift my feet so I could fit. My neighbors weren't home yet, so I wasn't able to say goodbye to them. I wished they were there. I'd always been really close with my neighbors. They took care of me when my sister was born, and waited for my grandpa to take me to the hospital. I was especially close to the neighborhood kids; ever since I could talk they came over almost every week. I wondered if my new neighborhood would be like this. The engine vroomed to life and away from the beautiful, old house we went. In less than ten minutes, we arrived at my new house. The front was undeniably gorgeous. The grass was not the yellowish brown brought on from the drought, instead it was a lively green that I had dreams about running in. The fall leaves around the trees enhanced the feeling of Christmas soon to come and the stairs leading up to the front door were clean. They had no muddy footprints that I was so used to seeing on my concrete. I walked up the steps slowly. I had a halfā€“witted hope that if I moved slow enough I'd end up back at the Azusa house. I didn't move slow enough. I walked through the doorway and into a corridor type area Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Descriptive Essay About Home My definition for home cannot be described by words or by a simple thought, but home is rather of a feeling. Home is the calmness and serenity that settles over me like a blanket on a cold snowy night, just a silent assurance telling me I belong there. It took me quite a bit of time to understand where exactly that place was, and I didn't know that the answer was always right in front of me. This feeling would come and go, and I would never recognize it because I knew that only the house I lived in was my home. I never realized that the place I lived was not my home, that home was in fact more than what the words in the dictionary say. When I was younger, I lived in the Philippines, my backyard were the rice fields and I would...show more content... During lunch, my grandma and mother would cook in the kitchen and set up the food in the big picnic basket to later share with everyone. We would walk along to thefield and my job was to carry the cold water jug. As we reached the field, all the farmers would smile and greet us, and some would even admire me for being such a helper. At lunchtime, I sat there along with all those workers, eating with them and listening. Their conversations mostly consists of the weather and how they could improve the rice farm. Often, I would make a comment saying, "Don't worry, I will help", and they loved me. I was the farm's little helperā€“ā€“ā€“this was my home. There was a tiny pond with a small bridge in beside our old house. The water was so clear that you could see your reflection, just like a mirror. The summer was the fishing season; I was on a mission. I had my brightā€“pink, half gallon bucket in one hand and a little piece of mosquito net on the other. I wore my shorts and my favourite Tā€“shirt, with my long hair tied back, a true fisher look, I thought. I put my biggest toe in first to check the temperature of the water, but I always ended up soaking myself all the way, up to my head trying to catch the fish ā€“ā€“ now that's working hard! • 9. Descriptive Essay About My Small House Clink! Bang! Crash! The my closet is overflowing once again. My small house is maybe a little too small. I walked to the kitchen to get something to eat. I see the kitchen closet is overflowing with pots and pans, again. The kitchen has a polished wooden floor easy to slip on if you're wearing socks. Our kitchen is small, but big enough to put items on the shining counter. I looked out to our backyard, I spot some fluffy looking white bunnies hopping along, eating the carrots I left out for them. I dragged my body down the long hallway to my mother and father's room. I complain, "This house doesn't have enough space!" My parents look at each other with a depressed look and sigh, " We need to find a new house." The next morning it was a Saturday, I got dressed in so comfortable clothes and headed towards the living room. I sat on the light brown colored couch. The couch had different patterns, including the pillows. I picked up the remote and flicked on some TV shows. I was in the middle of watching a show, when My mom and dad come to me with an excited look on their morning faces. The light came in, shining on them like they're on stage. There was a long silence, you could hear a pin drop. I looked at my mom then dad and did it again. Until my dad finally spat it out, "We found a house were going today and seeing it!" I felt my excitement was about to burst. At the end of the car ride, I stepped out the car door. I heard the crunch of the rocks as I stepped Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. What is Home? Essay What is home? If one looks in a dictionary the answer would come out to be, "The place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household." However, for anyone who has had an actual home, they would know that such a term goes much beyond its concrete description. It is an impassioned aspect filled with values and foundation of nurturing. A home is not just an abode built to live in; in fact, that is just a definition of a house. Home is a place where one not only feels comfortable, but a place they look forward to opportunely live in every day. A home is built not by bricks or wood, but with the bond of family. A home is a place that reminds a person of countless memories and values when he walks through a...show more content... Family is what makes a house a home; this statement is undeniably precise. A person could have every material entity in the entire world, but it would mean nothing if he does not have someone to share it with. In other words, home is also semantically related to sharing the happiness, grief, and material things with one's family. A home gives people a place to care about the people that mean the most to them. It is a place to tell amusing tales, a good story, or make memorable memories with one another. Furthermore, home is more than a place; it is a feeling. It is a feeling of contentment and happiness that they share with the ones they love. Moreover, home is when one knows they are with people that can drive them insane in a second, and the same people can make them happy in a second as well. Home means that no matter what one is going through, no matter how challenging life gets, there will be someone looking out for them. One knows that a place is their home when they are comfortable enough to present a true description of themselves, because they know that they will receive definitive acceptance. It is a sanctuary for them where they can do anything they please and not be judged afterwards. It is where one can share the absurdity of their day without any remorse or repercussions. The reason why people say that a person only has one true home is because one will Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 12. Descriptive Essay About My House As I am walking home from school I take the time to look around my surroundings. Leaves a variety of reds, oranges and yellows descend from the trees and encase the ground like a blanket. The wind begins to pick up, building miniature vortexes with the leaves and dropping them off to their new locations. There is not much to Stowe, Vermont: a couple of convenience stores, a few diners scattered, parks and widely spaces houses that stretch down for a few miles. Extravagant would not be the leading word to describe this town, but I love it nonetheless. I continue to walk, admiring the aura of my surrounding, a few minutes pass and my house becomes a clear view. As I ascend the steps I swing my backpack off my shoulders and dig through a...show more content... "So, the town meeting is tomorrow, we need to decide on our answer," "There is not much to discuss, we cannot say yes to the contractors, I will not watch this town fall to the money greed people" my father responds with a firm tone. I still can't process what's been going on these pasts few weeks. A couple of weeks ago, some contractors came into town looking to buy it off and build it into a huge downtown complex for the surrounding cities. These has been going on for the past few years, one by one like Russian roulette, a town is picked off and turned into what my father calls a "super city," over the top houses, business buildings and shopping areas are built in hopes of making a profit off of them. What makes this situation even worse is that it wasn't really forced upon us, the towns had a choice has on whether or not they wanted to have their little upgrade. How can someone do that? Money has consumed the thoughts of many and has influenced others to make decisions that they probably will regret in the future and it worries me. I have a feeling that tomorrow, many will say yes and we'll lose this town forever, but I will not let that happen. I physically cannot sit at the meeting tomorrow and watch the people of this town devalue it in hopes of finding satisfaction in the money. Tired, I excuse myself from the table, I throw my plate in the sink and walk back to my Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 14. Descriptive Essay : My Old House Kenneth Lee Ms. Fenenbock Eng105 8/29/13 Descriptive Essay: Final Draft My Old House My old house has some of my greatest memories and experiences as a child. My mom, dad, uncle and grandma were the caretakers of me, my older brother, and two older sisters. As you can tell, we had a huge family. They immigrated to America 20 years ago to start a family. I remembered we had a huge back yard with a lot of nature around. My parents who were farmers really knew how to take care of plants and animals. Every day my parents would tend to their garden. Life was very carefree. I remembered vividly my fond memories of my childhood. I remember watching scary movies with my siblings in the living room sitting on the sofa. Some of my favorite movies were scary movies like "Children of the Corn" or "Goosebumps". The only problem was having nightmares or dreams of ghosts or spirits walking across my room. I remembered a big white blur floating through the edge of my bed where my parents and my siblings all slept together. The creepy part was having a huge mirror in the room where it was believed to be the gateway to and from other dimensions, or when I thought I saw my sister transform into a demon right before my eyes. I remember not being able to sleep all night because of it. I remembered waking up in the middle of the night with sweat running throughout my body. Things were freaky and paranormal but in the end, I realized that things were normal. Watching all those scary movies Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My room is the only place where I will try new things and if I feel confident I will try them outside of it. I will give it my best and that is how my room helps me, by doing something there first I believe more in myself. It is the place where I can concentrate and think about everything that is going on around me, not only around my city or state, but all over the world. I get the chance to relax and think in what I want to do with my life, the kind of future I want to achieve. My room is the place where I can go and do my homework without getting distracted, where I can write down my feelings and open my mind to new ideas. Many times I have gone to my room and just write about things that are going around in the world that will affect me sooner or later, like global warming. • 17. Descriptive Essay About My Home Whenever I hear the word home, I immediately think about a small town about an hour northeast of Madison. I was born and raised in this small town and hope to return to or near it after college. Even though I live in Madison now, home to me is Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. My idea about what home is has changed over time due to different life events, such as hard times and going to college to continue my education. The one thing that hasn't changed though is the place that I consider my home. My entire life I lived in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. When I was about two years old, myfamily moved out into the country, a move that I don't recall, but have seen pictures of. One of my favorite pictures from the move is of me sitting in a box full of white packing peanuts, smiling from ear to ear at the camera. The house we moved into in the Hammer Hills neighborhood was and still is what I consider my home. The first thing that people notice about our house isn't even our house at all. It is the towering pine trees lined up in two long rows that run the length of our property line in front of our house. In total, there are approximately 24 pine trees. My parents decided to plant the rows of pine trees to act as a wind block to help with blowing and drifting snow in the winter. The only problem was that it would take several years for the trees to finally serve their purpose. When they were planted, they were only whips, as my parents call them, just a few inches tall and about the width of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Descriptive Essay On My New House I walked through my house one more time, saying a silent goodbye to each room, the only rooms I'd ever known. My parents' bedroom, which contained my favorite hiding spot during our many Hideā€“andā€“Seek gamesā€“their closet, my sister's bedroom, where I had slept next to my grandma on the pullā€“out bed in the years before my sister was born, my own room, with its ceiling of blue sky and yellow stars. The rooms where I had played, laughed, cried. The street where I learned how to catch a baseball, ride a bike, drive my mini motorcycle. The backyard where my many petsā€“cats, dogs, rabbits, had roamed. It was hard to comprehend that I would never live in this house again; seeing the once lively spaces now empty brought countless memories back to me, overwhelming me with nostalgia. It was difficult to handle my conflicting inner feelings. On one hand, I was sad to be leaving my childhood home, the keeper of countless secrets and memories, but at the same time, I was yearning to explore my new house and make new memories there. I was intrigued by many of its characteristics, such as the fact that it was two storiesā€“two story houses had always seemed much more exciting than my one story house, where everything said and done could be heard and seen from almost every corner. As my mom drove my cat and me on the twenty minute ride from the city of Antioch to neighboring Brentwood, even my cat's incessant meowing could not keep me from my thoughts of what I was leaving behind; the only Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. My Dream House My dream is to live in a big detached house surrounded by a big garden full of flowers and trees. I wouldn't like to live in an apartment with blocks of flats and rude neighbour's making noise in the middle of the night. My dream house should be located outside the city, on the outskirts of town where I can find true peace and happiness. Therefore, my dream house should have the characteristics that represent my spiritual world and personality with its location as well as its inner and outer design. From my point of view, the location of my dream house is very important and the surroundings and the position of a house should be carefully considered. Since the outside of my dream house would let me be alone with nature and fill my soul with peace and quietness, its design is very important and attentively arranged. In my opinion, each person has a dream house that continues to remain on his mind as long as he lives. Places we spend our life is very significant because our moods are affected by the design and the location. If we live in a place filled with noise, chaos and air pollution our feelings would tend to be negative. On the contrary, if we live in a place close to the serenity of nature, our minds, bodies and spirits will be filled with positive energies. That's why I'd like my dream house be located on the outskirts of a city, encircled with flowers, trees and birds. Likewise, we either feel relaxed or tenser inside our homes. If the interior design and colours used arise feelings of anger or anxiety we will be unhappy and depressed in our houses. Therefore, I prefer to plan interior of my dream house to give me feelings of relaxation and joy. • 20. Descriptive Essay About My House The street I live on has a lot of houses on it and mine just happens to be one of them. Each house has its own driveway, each unique in its own way. Most of them are paved driveways, but mine happens to be made from hard pack. I can picture the driveway when it was built, still in the same place and still being made of rocks. The driveway to my house is a narrow driveway made from hard pack and about as wide as one and Š’Š… car widths. My driveway separates my house from my neighbors and serves as a place to park cars. It's not perfect and doesn't appear to have been made by professionals. It doesn't have sharp clean edges, instead it just fades away at the ends. Its composition is not uniform. Millions of small rocks scattered to from the driveway, each rock varying in size from a grain of sand, to a small stone the size of a pingā€“pong ball. Each rock varying in color, size, shape, and type of rock making each one unique. A strip of grass runs down the length of one side forming a boundary between the driveway and my neighbor's house. A stone wall runs down the length of the driveway closest to my house and extends out a couple feet. This allows rain dripping from the roof to land in a gravel pit instead of allowing rain to erode the surface. It has some weeds growing along the edges that sometimes invade bits of the driveway sprouting up in almost random locations nowhere near the grass. There are anthills in random locations throughout it. Though It appears to be built for Get more content on HelpWriting.net
