The name Liberia denotes "liberty" as Black Americans were sent to Liberia in 1822, and founded the country in 1847 with the support of the American Colonization Society creating a new ethnic group called the Americo-Liberians . [4] However, this introduction of a new ethnic mix resulted in ethnic tensions with the sixteen other main ethnicities Capital = Monrovia – named after James Monroe, 5 th US President Never colonized by Europeans (only African country in addition to Ethiopia)

Empowered 398 most needy Liberian refugee women with vocational skills and little businesses
Constructed and turned over to the community, the first multi- purpose youth center in Caldwell, Liberia - Hosted 209 international volunteers from Europe, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea. - Developed an elaborate national peace program to be implemented in Liberia.
