The public transport network in the Olomouc region of the Czech Republic has undergone several changes between 1980 and 2010. The number of bus lines and connections decreased by around 20-30% during this period, though the average number of connections per line and stops per connection increased. The total length of connections increased in time and distance traveled. These changes resulted in better bus service for larger towns and villages with growing populations, but worse service for smaller, less accessible municipalities with declining rider numbers.
