2. How does your media
product represent
particular social groups?
My media product represents teenage girls
from the UK, specifically physically and
mentally Vulnerable teenage girls. My product
is based on A depressed teen who appears to
have someone following her. The characters
self conflict could be related to the UK
drama ' My Mad Fat diary'
The lead protagonist 'Rae Earl' finds it difficult
to cope with life with out harming herself due to
her own self conflict, however her friends have no
idea what is going on with her similar to the way
that the audience have no idea of the protagonists
issues in my opening sequence.
CLASS/REGIONAL IDENTITY
My media product particularly represents income bracket
status C-E (lower-class) which would come under students
and the unemployed. My characters were all students from
the age of 18-22 and the location represents a place
where unemployment is a vigilant problem.
