SEXSENSE TOUR 2016
In Ghana premarital sex has been on the increase,
accounting to high Sexually Transmitted Diseases
(STIs) and teenage pregnancies among the youth.
Problems caused by this include illegal abortions,
maternal mortality, and school dropouts. SeXsense
Tour is an annual campaign initiated by The HuD
Group to help young people make wise decisions about
their sex life. It contributes to the United Nation’s
Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 that aims at
ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all
people at all ages. We do this by counselling the youth
to abstain from premarital sex hence, preventing them
from attracting STIs and other complications that come
as a result of teenage pregnancy. In the first quarter of
2016, we toured nineteen (19) destinations, reaching
over six thousand (6,000) young people in Ghana with
SeXsense. For the first time, we made unprecedented appearances on the campuses of Mampong
Demonstration School for the Deaf, Akropong and Joshkrisdan Orphanage, Ningo. This was a
calculated initiative to ensure that we reach all young people with the message of abstinence.
