This document provides information for booth captains for the upcoming CulturalFest event. CulturalFest is the biggest multicultural student event on campus, produced by over 300 student volunteers from around the world. It is an opportunity to share cultures through interactive booths, a silent auction, performances, and food. Booth captains are responsible for recruiting volunteers and designing their booth to be informative, interactive, and creative. The document outlines the schedule for set up and breakdown, available resources and reimbursements for supplies, and celebratory party after the event.

3. WHAT HAPPENS AT CULTURALFEST
11:00 am – 3:00pm
International Cultural Exhibition
•free and open to everyone
5:30 – 7:30pm
Silent Auction and Reception
•$45
7:00 – 10:00pm
Music and dance performance
and booth exhibition
•$10 students/$15 community
4. WHO COMES TO CULTURALFEST?
500 local elementary School students
1000 UW students and Seattle community members
500 ticket holders will attend the evening
performances
150 FIUTS donors and supports will come to the silent
auction
5. BOOTH CAPTAIN AND VOLUNTEER SCHEDULE
9:30am - Booth Set up
11:00am - Booths open FIUTS will provide lunch, water
and snacks for booth volunteers
3:00pm - Booths close downstairs booths breakdown
3:15 – 5:30pm - Meany Hall is closed and
everyone must leave the hall
7:00pm - Doors open for performance booth
volunteers are ready at booth
8:00pm - Performances begin booth volunteer may
watch the show from the theater
9:00 - 9:15pm –Intermission volunteers return to booth
*breakdown of booths may happen anytime after
intermission

SPECIAL REQUESTS BY JANUARY 26TH
PLEASE TURN IN YOUR SUPPLY LISTS TO FIUTS BY
FEBRUARY 3RD (EXTENDED FROM JANUARY 26TH)
If you would like to be reimbursed for additional booth
supplies (food, decorations, etc.) you will need to submit
a Booth Expense Reimbursement Request. Each booth
can receive up to $40 to cover additional expenses.
