1. LOCATION RECCE
ACTIVITY:
IS THE LOCATION SUITABLE FOR
PRODUCTION?
Look around the location.
Henley is a
suitable
location due to
the buildings
and easy
access for all of
us.
Talk to people there, organise filming
permissions.
Identify the equipment you need to use.
I will not need to ask permission from anyone as this is
a public area so will cause no problems.
Examine and identify any potential
health and safety issues.
Check the position of the sun and
lighting conditions.
Look for interesting shots and camera
angles.
Check the electricity supply.
Do a test sound/video recording and
check for potential noise problems need
to be done?
Confirm times and dates with actors you
are using.
Arrange car parking
Make sure everybody concerned with
your video production knows what is
happening.
I will need to use a video camera to film the music
video and a tripod to keep the camera steady.
The safety hazards are the roads around but to avoid
any accidents we will not cross any roads.
I will film in the morning as the sun will be rising and It
will give the video a greater affect.
I shall try out different angles and shots, ranging from
close ups to long shots and canted angles.
My video camera is battery powered so this will not
be an issue.
I will not be using sound from the video recordings I
will be using a song over the video therefore it does
not matter.
Tuesday 22nd and Thursday24th October at 10.30am –
1pm on Tuesday and on Thursday from 4.30 – 5.30pm
We will be at college and at one of the actresses
house so we don’t need parking.
Before we start filming, I shall brief them with what I
want to film on both days, along with the shots I
intend to use. I will guide them whilst filming too.
