"Be the change you wish to see in the world" is a great quote to live by because it guides you to
help others and make an impact. I use this quote to guide my life personally because I want to be
able to use what I believe in, and my goals to make a change. Abortion is a very common debate in
the world, and it has been this way for hundreds of years. There are two main arguments when it
comes to abortion, most people are either Pro Life or Pro Choice. People that are pro life are
against abortions and believe that every human life has equal worth and should have the opportunity
to live. While people who are pro choice believe that women should have the choice to decide if
they wanted to keep the child that they had growing inside of them or if she wants to terminate the
pregnancy. I am pro life because I believe that abortions are used as a way out of something that
people are in no hurry to try and prevent. I think that as a society we focus on sex as a thing that
everyone does and that makes young adults think that they need to be joining what everyone is
doing. This ends up creating a child that neither the mother nor the father are capable of taking care
of, and the mother feels her only way out of the situation is to terminate the pregnancy in the form
of an abortion. I want my impact on the world to be less of a...show more content...
I also need to learn why young adults are so susceptible to peer pressure. What in their brains makes
it so easy for others to persuade them to do something, is it their hormones, their maturity, or do we

Abortion is an extremely controversial topic, which brings out strong opinions on whether or not it
should be illegal. With the knowledge that I have, I believe that if someone is not suited to bring a
human into this world, then you should be able to have the option of abortion. For instance; enable
to support and care for the child, if you were raped, or physical or mental conditions that endanger
the well being of the women. With that being said, in addition; a person should make that decision
within the first 2–3 weeks of being pregnant. Deciding to have and abortion weeks/months after
being pregnant, when you have an embryo that is growing at the rate that it does. It is sickening to
me that people decide, in my eyes "kill" the embryo.

The Modern Pro Life : A Normative Critique
Truly Life?
The Modern Pro Life : A Normative Critique. The United States pro–life movement is a social and
political movement in the United States opposing on moral or sectarian grounds elective abortion
and usually supporting its legal prohibition or restriction. Advocates generally argue that human life
begins at conception and that the human fetus is a person and therefore has a right to life. The
pro–life movement includes a variety of organizations, with no single centralized decision–making
body.
In the United States, the movement is associated with several Christian religious groups, especially
the Catholic Church, and is frequently, but not exclusively, allied with the Republican Party. The
movement is also supported by non–mainstream pro–life feminists. The movement seeks to reverse
Roe v. Wade and to promote legislative changes or constitutional amendments, such as the Human
Life Amendment, that prohibit or at least broadly restrict abortion.
The description "pro–life" was adopted by the right–to–life movement in the United States following
the Supreme Court 1973 decision Roe v. Wade, which held that a woman may terminate her
pregnancy prior to the viability of the fetus outside of the womb and may also terminate her
pregnancy "subsequent to viability ... for the preservation of the life or health of the mother." The
term "pro–life" was adopted instead of "anti–abortion" to highlight their proponents ' belief that
abortion is the taking of a human life,

Pro Choice Essay : Pro-Choice Abortion
Pro–choice Abortion Abortion rights are one of the most heatedly debates in society. There are many
arguments for and against abortion. Each woman has the right to an abortion and the right to have a
child. Women have the resources, rights, and respect to make reproductive health decisions that are
best for themselves. ("Women's") We live in a free country and women should continue to have the
choice to do whatever with their body, concerning women's rights, health issues, and religious
reasons.
Women have human rights to choose what they want to do with their body. Every woman goes
through different issues and some are not ready to take on the responsibility of being a mom. A
woman knows when she is ready to be a mom and when the time is not right. Some people are
prochoice, in that they support abortions and women rights.("Women's") Some people are prolife, in
which they don't support abortions.("Women's") Pro–life biggest argument is that fetuses are human
beings and the baby has a heartbeat. ("Should" Laura Peredo stated, "The moment of fertilization is
the beginning of each specific person." ("Why") Yes, but nearly all abortions take place in the first
semester and a fetus can't survive on its own. ("20" The fetus health is dependent on the mother's
body, unlike babies that are born. ("20") In the first trimester, the fetus is attached to the placenta by
the umbilical cord. Furthermore, this lets you know that the fetus cannot survive without the mom.

Abortion, when the topic comes up, it is usually something people do not like to discuss. People
may tend to avoid this issue for fear of offending or angering others but it is extremely important
that the horrors of this brutal practice be addressed. During the years 1965–1996 over 515 million
babies have been murdered, this is if you add the number of chemical and surgical abortions
(www.rockforlife.org). This is what we need to understand: abortion kills and we need to know where
it came from.
The legalization of abortion started in Mississippi in the year 1966; it was used in the cases of
rape. Then other states began to expand the use of abortion. For instance, if it was the case of rape,

One way is called Partial Birth Abortion (D&X); it can kill babies up to thirty–two weeks old.
The abortionist (murderer in this case) removes all of the baby from the mother except for the
head, he then jab a pair of scissors in the back of the babies skull and then he uses a suction hose to
suck out the babies brain. Then he uses forceps to crush the babies' skull and pull the rest of the
babies' body out. Salt poisoning is also used, where salt is injected and the bay dies of convulsions
due to salt poisoning (www.rockforlife.org). If they can say this is not murder, then what is?
Abortion is not painless for the mother either. Over ninety–seven percent of women have reported
feeling pain it is often described as intense, severe, or very severe. Abortion is also not without side
effects. Complications such as bleeding, hemorrhaging, menstrual disturbances or inflammation of
the reproductive organs. Sometimes abortion can cause damage to the uterus and make the woman
infertile for the rest of her life. (Abortion some medical facts pamphlet.) Also if you are a women
and have had an abortion you increase your chances of having breast cancer by fifty percent.
Abortion has no good results in for the mother or the poor murdered baby. In the end it will always
cause physical and emotional pain.

Pro–life In an interview with TODAY's Kathie Lee Gifford, Pattie Mallet, pop star Justin Bieber's
mom, admits that she was encouraged to have an abortion when she found out she was pregnant
with Justin at age 17. She says: "I couldn't –– I couldn't abort." If she hadn't had these thoughts,
where would the world be today? Sure, Justin has done some bad things in the past, but he has
greatly impacted the whole globe. It's a good thing that Pattie realized the effects abortion would
have on her and her unborn son. Abortion is wrong and takes away the life of a human being
with the potential of doing great things in the world. First of all, abortion is wrong because it's
murder. Simple as that. By having an abortion, mothers are killing an unborn child. Their child. In
2004, George W. Bush signed what is known as the Unborn Victims of Violence Act that says that
"under federal law, any person who causes death or injury to a child in the womb shall be charged
with a separate offense, in addition to any charges relating to the mother." Murder is illegal,
therefore, so is abortion. Not only is murder just plain immoral, it also defies the word of God in
the Bible. The Bible doesn't distinguish what is considered a human and what isn't, based on if the
baby is born or not. It doesn't specify that fetuses are not human. The Sixth Commandment says "You
shall not murder." Any woman who gets an abortion is defying God. It is, of course, taken into effect
that not everyone believes in

Persuasive Essay On Pro Choice
Pro–choice has been a major topic ever since the women's movements started in the early 1970's, a
question sometimes asked is that, if part of the population are so pro–life and worry about protecting
a fetus, how come when the child is conceived they suddenly bash at you for having that unwanted
child anyways, and that is hypocritical. In this essay, details include would be why people choose to
be pro–choice, NARAL Pro–Choice America, the battle for reproductive justice for women and their
right to make decisions for their body, advocates that are pro–choice, proposals for a pro–choice
government, and Tomi Lahren being fired for stating she was pro–choice.
Of all the legal, ethical, and moral issues we Americans continuously fight for or against, abortion
may very well be the issue that Americans are most passionate about. The abortion issue is in the
forefront of political races. Many people in society today choose to be pro–choice because they want
to support women of their choice and right to have an abortion and that sex education that promotes
abstinence is not effective. According to "Abortions: every Woman's Right" by Smith S., the article
discusses about how women couldn't be equal to men because they don't have the same rights to
reproductive rights of their own even if though they are advanced in the job market or have a higher
education. Even socialist argue that women deserve to have rights over their body without

Imagine that you found out you were pregnant and at this time in your life you are not ready or your
spouse left you, thus you would be a single parent. This is the time when abortion pops into most
people's mind as the best option and it's not. An abortion is the termination of a human pregnancy on
purpose. Abortion is not a light topic in the U.S and is widely controversial all over the country.
There's two sides to the debate, one side is pro–choice and the other one is pro–life. Pro–choice is
the advocation of legalized abortion and Pro–life is the people who oppose abortion for all reasons.
Abortion should be illegal for many reasons.
Some believe that abortion should be legal and that it should be the women's decision on if they

isn't murder because it says that fertilized eggs, embryos and fetuses couldn't survive out of the

"The comparison between a baby's rights and a mother's rights is unequal. What is at stake in
abortion is the mother's lifestyle, as opposed to the baby's life. Therefore, it is reasonable for society
to expect an adult to live temporarily with an inconvenience if the only alternative is killing a

than those of the unborn child. The only thing that would actually be at stake would be the way the
mother lives at the time of her pregnancy A women may have an inconvenience for a short time

Otto von Bismarck once said, "Laws are like sausages, it is better not to see them being made."

Pro–life advocates also may argue that using tax payer money to fund something that they and so
many others are so opposed to is wrong, that young women are not ready to make such a decision,
and, finally, that abortions may even cause mental and emotional harm. However, these opinions are
not accepted by abortion activists.
Pro–choice groups, for example, support a woman's right to choose whether or not to have an
abortion. They believe that a fetus is incapable of life during the first trimester when many
abortions take place, so, in their opinion's, it is not murder. They use statistics such as the fact that
88% of women who have abortions get them in their first trimester (Lowen, n.d.), only 8% of
women who get abortions do not regularly use contraceptives (Lowen, n.d.), and that there is less
than a .5% chance of serious complications occurring during or because of an abortion procedure
(Lowen, n.d.). They argue that often times a woman is too scared to speak up or does not know
that she even is pregnant after a rape, so abortion may be her last resort. They advocate a woman's
rights to her own body, and use the fact that tax dollars are also used to fund wars, and people
oppose those as well, to rebut the argument that tax payer's money should not be spent on
supporting such a sensitive issue. And, tax dollars are necessary in order to make abortion
procedures affordable for women who otherwise

Essay Abortion: Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice
Abortion is never an easy decision, but women have been making the choice for thousands of
years. It has become a large dilemma since 1973, when the U.S. Supreme Court passed a law
making the procedure legal, and an even larger controversial issue. The controversy is divided into
"Pro–Choice" and Pro–Life" views. Pro–Choice supporters believe that the woman should have to
choice whether to abort or not. Pro–Life supporters believe that it should be illegal to abort and
preformed. However, there are many ways for this procedure to be performed. Abortion still
remains today a controversial issue, by who should determine if it is the right thing to terminate a

The district court ruled in McCorvey's favor on the merits, but didn't grand an injunction against the
enforcement of the laws barring abortion. The courts decision was based upon the Ninth
Amendment. Pro–choice describes political and ethical views that a woman should have the control
over her fertility and the choice to continue or terminate her pregnancy. Pro–choice activists argue
that an embryo has no rights as it is only a potential and not an actual person and its rights should not
override those of the mother's until after it is born. The right to choose to have an abortion is
personal and essential to women's lives and without this right, women cannot exercise their rights
and liberties guaranteed to them by the Constitution. Without the right to choose an abortion the 14th
amendment's guarantee of liberty has little meaning for women. Another point made could include
that a man can withdraw from a relationship when he finds out that his spouse is pregnant, it is only
fair that women be given the same choice. Pro–life supporters believe that human life starts from
fertilization or implantation until natural death. From the view of a pro–life advocate and action that
destroys an embryo or fetus kills a person, any purposeful destruction of a human life is considered
ethically and/or morally wrong. Some advocates of pro–life even oppose abortion of a fetus that
would almost certainly die a short time after birth. The pro–life movement is

The "Good" Doctors There were 884 million doctor's visits in the US alone in 2014, another 125
million counting hospital visits. It is clear that society trusts the doctors and nurses that it employs
to uphold high standards to carry on with the task of saving lives. Our society doesn't blink an eye
and puts all its faith into doctors without question. Society assumes that all doctors are good and
ignores the potential of an immoral doctor. A study conducted by the NCBI showed that 90% of all
medical students have witnessed an unethical medical practice performed by the doctors that society
had trusted. This means that if you had any doctor's visits in the last few years, most likely you were
a victim of an unethical practice. This is the situation that Henrietta Lacks faced at John Hopkins
Hospital in the 1950s. Rebecca Skloot details the accounts of mistreatment and abuse that followed
Henrietta Lacks in her novel The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. Henrietta Lacks was an African
American mother seeking cancer treatment at John Hopkins Hospitals, who ended up to be one of
the biggest medical discoveries at the time. Doctors at the hospital discovered the power of her
cells and in doing so abused and misuse Henrietta Lacks in the process, which ultimately led to her
death. Although Henrietta Lack's cells proved to beneficial to millions of people, the misconduct
performed by the doctors is uncalled for and violates the oath that every doctor had sworn to. There

Abortion has affected many lives, it must be kept legal in Canada. Woman have the right to decide

Abortion has been one of the biggest controversies of all time. Many people believe it is 100%
wrong and even consider it to be murder. The definition of abortion is; "The termination of
pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo prior to being capable
of normal growth." These pro–life believers do not support the idea of abortion and believe it should
be illegal. Many of these supporters do not know that if abortion were illegal they would still be

The choice of her keeping the child would result in her getting kicked out of her home, she'd be
finically unable to support the baby, and she would lose her education. With abortion she would not
have to deal with these issues, though she would have to deal with the emotional aspect of deciding
to terminate the pregnancy. Pro–choice supports the idea she would learn from her mistake and that
ultimately it was her choice to do what she wished with her body. Even though these "Pro Life
supporters" think giving up your child for adoption is a better choice than an abortion, but those
children would be forced to live in an unfit foster home till they age out of the system. After they
turn 18 they are out on the streets what makes the women who would rather just have an abortion

Pro Life Persuasive Essay

  • 1. Pro Life "Be the change you wish to see in the world" is a great quote to live by because it guides you to help others and make an impact. I use this quote to guide my life personally because I want to be able to use what I believe in, and my goals to make a change. Abortion is a very common debate in the world, and it has been this way for hundreds of years. There are two main arguments when it comes to abortion, most people are either Pro Life or Pro Choice. People that are pro life are against abortions and believe that every human life has equal worth and should have the opportunity to live. While people who are pro choice believe that women should have the choice to decide if they wanted to keep the child that they had growing inside of them or if she wants to terminate the pregnancy. I am pro life because I believe that abortions are used as a way out of something that people are in no hurry to try and prevent. I think that as a society we focus on sex as a thing that everyone does and that makes young adults think that they need to be joining what everyone is doing. This ends up creating a child that neither the mother nor the father are capable of taking care of, and the mother feels her only way out of the situation is to terminate the pregnancy in the form of an abortion. I want my impact on the world to be less of a...show more content... I also need to learn why young adults are so susceptible to peer pressure. What in their brains makes it so easy for others to persuade them to do something, is it their hormones, their maturity, or do we just not have enough information on peer pressure and young adults to understand these Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 3. Persuasive Essay On Abortion Pro Life Abortion is an extremely controversial topic, which brings out strong opinions on whether or not it should be illegal. With the knowledge that I have, I believe that if someone is not suited to bring a human into this world, then you should be able to have the option of abortion. For instance; enable to support and care for the child, if you were raped, or physical or mental conditions that endanger the well being of the women. With that being said, in addition; a person should make that decision within the first 2–3 weeks of being pregnant. Deciding to have and abortion weeks/months after being pregnant, when you have an embryo that is growing at the rate that it does. It is sickening to me that people decide, in my eyes "kill" the embryo. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. The Modern Pro Life : A Normative Critique Truly Life? The Modern Pro Life : A Normative Critique. The United States pro–life movement is a social and political movement in the United States opposing on moral or sectarian grounds elective abortion and usually supporting its legal prohibition or restriction. Advocates generally argue that human life begins at conception and that the human fetus is a person and therefore has a right to life. The pro–life movement includes a variety of organizations, with no single centralized decision–making body. In the United States, the movement is associated with several Christian religious groups, especially the Catholic Church, and is frequently, but not exclusively, allied with the Republican Party. The movement is also supported by non–mainstream pro–life feminists. The movement seeks to reverse Roe v. Wade and to promote legislative changes or constitutional amendments, such as the Human Life Amendment, that prohibit or at least broadly restrict abortion. The description "pro–life" was adopted by the right–to–life movement in the United States following the Supreme Court 1973 decision Roe v. Wade, which held that a woman may terminate her pregnancy prior to the viability of the fetus outside of the womb and may also terminate her pregnancy "subsequent to viability ... for the preservation of the life or health of the mother." The term "pro–life" was adopted instead of "anti–abortion" to highlight their proponents ' belief that abortion is the taking of a human life, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Pro Choice Essay : Pro-Choice Abortion Pro–choice Abortion Abortion rights are one of the most heatedly debates in society. There are many arguments for and against abortion. Each woman has the right to an abortion and the right to have a child. Women have the resources, rights, and respect to make reproductive health decisions that are best for themselves. ("Women's") We live in a free country and women should continue to have the choice to do whatever with their body, concerning women's rights, health issues, and religious reasons. Women have human rights to choose what they want to do with their body. Every woman goes through different issues and some are not ready to take on the responsibility of being a mom. A woman knows when she is ready to be a mom and when the time is not right. Some people are prochoice, in that they support abortions and women rights.("Women's") Some people are prolife, in which they don't support abortions.("Women's") Pro–life biggest argument is that fetuses are human beings and the baby has a heartbeat. ("Should" Laura Peredo stated, "The moment of fertilization is the beginning of each specific person." ("Why") Yes, but nearly all abortions take place in the first semester and a fetus can't survive on its own. ("20" The fetus health is dependent on the mother's body, unlike babies that are born. ("20") In the first trimester, the fetus is attached to the placenta by the umbilical cord. Furthermore, this lets you know that the fetus cannot survive without the mom. • 6. Pro-Life Essay examples Pro–Life English I 1 Abortion, when the topic comes up, it is usually something people do not like to discuss. People may tend to avoid this issue for fear of offending or angering others but it is extremely important that the horrors of this brutal practice be addressed. During the years 1965–1996 over 515 million babies have been murdered, this is if you add the number of chemical and surgical abortions (www.rockforlife.org). This is what we need to understand: abortion kills and we need to know where it came from. The legalization of abortion started in Mississippi in the year 1966; it was used in the cases of rape. Then other states began to expand the use of abortion. For instance, if it was the case of rape, ...show more content... One way is called Partial Birth Abortion (D&X); it can kill babies up to thirty–two weeks old. The abortionist (murderer in this case) removes all of the baby from the mother except for the head, he then jab a pair of scissors in the back of the babies skull and then he uses a suction hose to suck out the babies brain. Then he uses forceps to crush the babies' skull and pull the rest of the babies' body out. Salt poisoning is also used, where salt is injected and the bay dies of convulsions due to salt poisoning (www.rockforlife.org). If they can say this is not murder, then what is? Abortion is not painless for the mother either. Over ninety–seven percent of women have reported feeling pain it is often described as intense, severe, or very severe. Abortion is also not without side effects. Complications such as bleeding, hemorrhaging, menstrual disturbances or inflammation of the reproductive organs. Sometimes abortion can cause damage to the uterus and make the woman infertile for the rest of her life. (Abortion some medical facts pamphlet.) Also if you are a women and have had an abortion you increase your chances of having breast cancer by fifty percent. Abortion has no good results in for the mother or the poor murdered baby. In the end it will always cause physical and emotional pain. What do religious beliefs have to do with abortion? They have everything to do with Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Persuasive Essay On Pro Life Pro–life In an interview with TODAY's Kathie Lee Gifford, Pattie Mallet, pop star Justin Bieber's mom, admits that she was encouraged to have an abortion when she found out she was pregnant with Justin at age 17. She says: "I couldn't –– I couldn't abort." If she hadn't had these thoughts, where would the world be today? Sure, Justin has done some bad things in the past, but he has greatly impacted the whole globe. It's a good thing that Pattie realized the effects abortion would have on her and her unborn son. Abortion is wrong and takes away the life of a human being with the potential of doing great things in the world. First of all, abortion is wrong because it's murder. Simple as that. By having an abortion, mothers are killing an unborn child. Their child. In 2004, George W. Bush signed what is known as the Unborn Victims of Violence Act that says that "under federal law, any person who causes death or injury to a child in the womb shall be charged with a separate offense, in addition to any charges relating to the mother." Murder is illegal, therefore, so is abortion. Not only is murder just plain immoral, it also defies the word of God in the Bible. The Bible doesn't distinguish what is considered a human and what isn't, based on if the baby is born or not. It doesn't specify that fetuses are not human. The Sixth Commandment says "You shall not murder." Any woman who gets an abortion is defying God. It is, of course, taken into effect that not everyone believes in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Pro Life Speech According to CDC.gov, about 730,322 legal induced abortions were reported to the CDC from 49 reporting areas in 2011, that's not considering the other legal abortions that weren't reported or the abortions that were done "under the hood". That counts for over 730,322 innocent lives lost due to thoughtlessness, carelessness, and in the worst cases rape and incest but according to The New York Times those cases only count for 1% of theabortion cases reported every year. Since abortion was legalized in 1973, there have been 54,559,615 reported abortion cases. I am Pro–Life, I believe that no matter what, under no circumstances should innocent blood be shed. I understand that in rape victims it's a more sensitive matter but it's not the child's fault that the situation...show more content... • 10. Persuasive Essay On Pro Choice Pro–choice has been a major topic ever since the women's movements started in the early 1970's, a question sometimes asked is that, if part of the population are so pro–life and worry about protecting a fetus, how come when the child is conceived they suddenly bash at you for having that unwanted child anyways, and that is hypocritical. In this essay, details include would be why people choose to be pro–choice, NARAL Pro–Choice America, the battle for reproductive justice for women and their right to make decisions for their body, advocates that are pro–choice, proposals for a pro–choice government, and Tomi Lahren being fired for stating she was pro–choice. Of all the legal, ethical, and moral issues we Americans continuously fight for or against, abortion may very well be the issue that Americans are most passionate about. The abortion issue is in the forefront of political races. Many people in society today choose to be pro–choice because they want to support women of their choice and right to have an abortion and that sex education that promotes abstinence is not effective. According to "Abortions: every Woman's Right" by Smith S., the article discusses about how women couldn't be equal to men because they don't have the same rights to reproductive rights of their own even if though they are advanced in the job market or have a higher education. Even socialist argue that women deserve to have rights over their body without interference. Part of NARAL's impact to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Essay On Pro Life Imagine that you found out you were pregnant and at this time in your life you are not ready or your spouse left you, thus you would be a single parent. This is the time when abortion pops into most people's mind as the best option and it's not. An abortion is the termination of a human pregnancy on purpose. Abortion is not a light topic in the U.S and is widely controversial all over the country. There's two sides to the debate, one side is pro–choice and the other one is pro–life. Pro–choice is the advocation of legalized abortion and Pro–life is the people who oppose abortion for all reasons. Abortion should be illegal for many reasons. Some believe that abortion should be legal and that it should be the women's decision on if they want an abortion or not. They also say that abortion is not murder. Some people say that abortion isn't murder because it says that fertilized eggs, embryos and fetuses couldn't survive out of the womb most of the time anyway. Pro–choice people say it's...show more content... "The comparison between a baby's rights and a mother's rights is unequal. What is at stake in abortion is the mother's lifestyle, as opposed to the baby's life. Therefore, it is reasonable for society to expect an adult to live temporarily with an inconvenience if the only alternative is killing a child.(Thompson)" This means that the mother's right are, in most people's mind, more important than those of the unborn child. The only thing that would actually be at stake would be the way the mother lives at the time of her pregnancy A women may have an inconvenience for a short time than taking the life of their unborn child. • 12. Argumentative Essay On Pro Life Across the World there are an estimated 125,000 abortions every day. Many people in life are often asked the question " are you pro life, or pro choice?", in other words "do you think it is right for people to abort babies?". To some, abortion is a pretty awkward or touchy subject, but the intent this paper today is to inform you about people's views and facts about abortion, also to give you the writer's opinion and help to explain to you why the writer is pro life. One of the main arguments pro life people have is that abortion is murder. The writer believes strongly that it is murder simply because upon fertilization a human being is created, and should be protected. Many people will say a baby can't feel anything while it is in the mother's...show more content... However this is a controversial subject and it always will be. This writer would never think that killing a baby is okay. Here are some reasons of why the writer is so passionate about this subject. It is simply because of a strong love for people, that everyone matters and ever baby has a plan and it should not be destroyed by someone's lack of readiness to be a parent. Everyone must stand together and put a stop to this horrible thing that is going on in this world. The writer hopes you take this information given to you today and really think about it, think about your life and what you believe is right. • 13. Argumentative Essay On Pro Life Otto von Bismarck once said, "Laws are like sausages, it is better not to see them being made." The arduous process that a bill undergoes in order to become a law may seem grueling and pointless; however, the processes high caliber of difficulty allows for the extreme prestige and exclusivity of bills that are passed. Because the process is so exhausting, and filibusters, subsequently requiring a super–majority vote to pass a bill, have always been such a threat in Congress, historically, bills that attempt to reform sensitive issues have not fared well in the legislative branch. However, when Congress does pass controversial laws, it then also faces the task of effectively enforcing them. But, when the process is carried out to...show more content... Pro–life advocates also may argue that using tax payer money to fund something that they and so many others are so opposed to is wrong, that young women are not ready to make such a decision, and, finally, that abortions may even cause mental and emotional harm. However, these opinions are not accepted by abortion activists. Pro–choice groups, for example, support a woman's right to choose whether or not to have an abortion. They believe that a fetus is incapable of life during the first trimester when many abortions take place, so, in their opinion's, it is not murder. They use statistics such as the fact that 88% of women who have abortions get them in their first trimester (Lowen, n.d.), only 8% of women who get abortions do not regularly use contraceptives (Lowen, n.d.), and that there is less than a .5% chance of serious complications occurring during or because of an abortion procedure (Lowen, n.d.). They argue that often times a woman is too scared to speak up or does not know that she even is pregnant after a rape, so abortion may be her last resort. They advocate a woman's rights to her own body, and use the fact that tax dollars are also used to fund wars, and people oppose those as well, to rebut the argument that tax payer's money should not be spent on supporting such a sensitive issue. And, tax dollars are necessary in order to make abortion procedures affordable for women who otherwise Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Essay Abortion: Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice Abortion is never an easy decision, but women have been making the choice for thousands of years. It has become a large dilemma since 1973, when the U.S. Supreme Court passed a law making the procedure legal, and an even larger controversial issue. The controversy is divided into "Pro–Choice" and Pro–Life" views. Pro–Choice supporters believe that the woman should have to choice whether to abort or not. Pro–Life supporters believe that it should be illegal to abort and preformed. However, there are many ways for this procedure to be performed. Abortion still remains today a controversial issue, by who should determine if it is the right thing to terminate a pregnancy or not and by how the procedure should be preformed. Pro–choice activists argue that an embryo has no rights as it is only a potential and not an actual person and its rights should not override those of the mother's until after it is born. The right to choose to have an abortion is personal and essential to women's lives and without this right, women cannot exercise their rights and liberties guaranteed to them by the Constitution. Without the right to choose an abortion the 14th amendment's guarantee of liberty has little meaning for women. Another point made could include that a man can withdraw from a relationship when he finds out that his spouse is pregnant, it is only fair that women be given the same choice. Pro–life supporters believe that human life starts from fertilization or implantation until natural death. From the view of a pro–life advocate and action that destroys an embryo or fetus kills a person, any purposeful destruction of a human life is considered ethically and/or morally wrong. Some advocates of pro–life even oppose abortion of a fetus that would almost certainly die a short time after birth. The pro–life movement is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Persuasive Essay On Henrietta Lacks The "Good" Doctors There were 884 million doctor's visits in the US alone in 2014, another 125 million counting hospital visits. It is clear that society trusts the doctors and nurses that it employs to uphold high standards to carry on with the task of saving lives. Our society doesn't blink an eye and puts all its faith into doctors without question. Society assumes that all doctors are good and ignores the potential of an immoral doctor. A study conducted by the NCBI showed that 90% of all medical students have witnessed an unethical medical practice performed by the doctors that society had trusted. This means that if you had any doctor's visits in the last few years, most likely you were a victim of an unethical practice. This is the situation that Henrietta Lacks faced at John Hopkins Hospital in the 1950s. Rebecca Skloot details the accounts of mistreatment and abuse that followed Henrietta Lacks in her novel The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. Henrietta Lacks was an African American mother seeking cancer treatment at John Hopkins Hospitals, who ended up to be one of the biggest medical discoveries at the time. Doctors at the hospital discovered the power of her cells and in doing so abused and misuse Henrietta Lacks in the process, which ultimately led to her death. Although Henrietta Lack's cells proved to beneficial to millions of people, the misconduct performed by the doctors is uncalled for and violates the oath that every doctor had sworn to. Abortions also goes against many laws and codes including the Declaration of Independence, the Hippocratic Oath, and the eighth amendment. Lastly, abortions can cause physical and psychological damage including depression and future miscarriages. However, the mother does not have to get an abortion if they can't take care of it. The other option is to put the baby up for adoption once it is born. "As of 2002 there were approximately 2.6 million women or 14% of American women waiting to adopt children, only just over 1% managed to complete an adoption." • 18. Persuasive Essay On Abortion Pro Life A life giving process Taylor DeVos Social Studies 10 October 31, 2016 Mr. Salinas Community: C Abortion has affected many lives, it must be kept legal in Canada. Woman have the right to decide whether to have a child, the woman that is pregnant could be too young or the pregnancies could be unwanted. Many feel it is not fair that they have to keep that child that they didn't want in the beginning "In 2011, nearly half (45% or 2.8 million) of the 6.1 million pregnancies in the United States each year were unintended". These are just some of the reason abortion should be kept legal. For many, abortion is the best option; there are teens that are getting pregnant at a young age; that means they fall behind on education, will not have a good job, and will not have a enough of money to provide for the baby. If people refuse to help fund these pregnant teenagers and adults, especially when they are all alone, then abortion becomes the best option. • 19. Persuasive Essay on Abortion Abortion has been one of the biggest controversies of all time. Many people believe it is 100% wrong and even consider it to be murder. The definition of abortion is; "The termination of pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo prior to being capable of normal growth." These pro–life believers do not support the idea of abortion and believe it should be illegal. Many of these supporters do not know that if abortion were illegal they would still be performed, unfortunately by an uneducated staff. Over 70 thousand maternal deaths occur every year because of unsafe abortions. These women die, so the idea of supporting pro–life is contradictory, this is why the nation should be pro–choice. The choice of her keeping the child would result in her getting kicked out of her home, she'd be finically unable to support the baby, and she would lose her education. With abortion she would not have to deal with these issues, though she would have to deal with the emotional aspect of deciding to terminate the pregnancy. Pro–choice supports the idea she would learn from her mistake and that ultimately it was her choice to do what she wished with her body. Even though these "Pro Life supporters" think giving up your child for adoption is a better choice than an abortion, but those children would be forced to live in an unfit foster home till they age out of the system. After they turn 18 they are out on the streets what makes the women who would rather just have an abortion have to think about when they know their child is in a foster home and probably no better off than where they would be if she would have just kept it? You have to deal with the emotional circumstances after an abortion for a while but you have to deal with not knowing what the child you gave up has to go through on a daily basis everyday of your life is a lot harder than the emotional toll of an abortion Even though many people practice pro–life because of their religion, it may be surprising to learn that catholic women are 29% more likely to get an abortion than Protestant women, though they are as likely as all women to do Get more content on HelpWriting.net
