13. Bike Choice -The 3R’s Robust, Reliable & Repairable.
The ‘perfect bike’ debate such as comfort, tank size and
range, reliability, off-road and on-road handling, access to
spares, field-maintainability, service internals and the like.
The pros and cons
of air-cooled verses
liquid-cooled, EFI
verses carbs,
Japanese verses
niche European get
batted back and
forth.
14. In choosing a bike, three key factors needed to be
considered together – i. the bike, ii. the rider’s skill and ii.
the terrain the bike will be used. The bike itself cannot be
considered in isolation.
Bike Choice -The 3R’s Robust, Reliable & Repairable.
The most important
ingredient of all is
the rider’s attitude.
“You can have an
adventure on any
bike as long as you
attitude is right”
