A Map of My Talk
The key message
• Victims’ First-hand Tales
• What is a slow burning genocide?
• Rohingyas: Official Lies vs FACTS
• Justifying the genocide
• Multiple-dimensional process of genocide
• The International System of Genocide Bystanders
Map of Burma
or Myanmar
(Atlas)
Buddhism does not exist in a
vacuum.
When a biologically, defined
state manipulates mass
Buddhism it morphs into an
exclusionary, violent,
genocidal, and totalitarian
ideology.
But from Buddhist
perpetrators’ perspectives,
they are merely defending
race, faith and flag.
The (+ve) Orientalist notion of
“peaceful, meditative
Buddhists” vs (-ve) Orientalist
notion of “violent, fanatical
Muslims” ought to be radically
rethought.
When victims are your own fellow people
What is GENOICDE?
(Raphael Lemkin, 1942)
