• If you are off-post and think that you are having a medical emergency, call
119 from your cell phone for English-language ambulance dispatch off-post.
Ask to be taken to the nearest hospital emergency department.
• If you are on-post:
– (CP Casey) call 0505-730-5906 from any cell phone, or 911 from any
DSN line for ambulance dispatch.
– (CRC/Stanley) call 0505-732-9117 from any cell phone, or 911 from

Space-Available Care (Camp Casey AHC)
• What does it mean?
– When a clinic is meeting the medical needs of Active Duty (AD) members and
their Family Members in a timely manner, and has excess capacity among the
clinic staff, then retirees and their family members, DA Civilians, DoDEA
employees, and contractors can book appointments
• How can we have more capacity?
– Increase the number of days that providers are available in the clinic
– Decrease the number of no-shows
• If space-available appropriates not possible, what than?
– If you have an ACUTE medical condition which can be seen through one visit
only
– For chronic medical conditions* which require regular management by a PCM,
this is not a good option. If you have chronic conditions, let us help you establish
regular care with a physician at an international clinic

Editor's Notes

 1. * Hand out emergency procedure cards to attendees and command representatives.
 2. *Such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, emphysema, asthma, depression/anxiety, etc… Give space-available flight analogy. CP Casey primary care clinic saw 73 space-available patients in primary care in April.
 3. *On average, patients enrolled to all area I clinics are seen faster than those enrolled to other PRMC MTF’s, or to other MTF’s in the entire Army.** The standard is <24H for Acute, <7D for routine, and <28D for wellness.*** Push T-cons for simple issues!
 4. Percentages from MAY 2012. Thanks to the Units for their support for making this work.
 5. * Introduce Ms. Tapong.
