Ron Arad has very
organic designs that
fit in to most
environments.
Usually, they are
simple natural shapes
using few colors and
materials in each
product. I especially
like the rotating
shower that can be
turned to form a bath
3. ALESSI
Alessi is possibly the most creative designer I
have seen. Everything he designs, he designs
with a purpose. All the products have a friendly
appearance which make them seem more user
friendly. He is also able to combine plastics and
metals and not make the end product look
“cheap”.
4. Thomas Heatherwick is one of my
favorite architects. His works aren't
made to set records or defy gravity
but are creative, original and very
cool. The seaside café blends in with
the scenery, and the bridge forms a
complete circle when not drawn.
THOMAS HEATHERWICK
5. MARC NEWSTON
Marc Newston takes on some of the
most complex machines such as the
Nasa Space shuttle and is able to
convert them into visually appealing
and functional machines. He is also
able to combine comfort and style. For
example , in this design for Qatar's 1st
class seat he includes a variety of
comfort features while still making the
overall product look good.
6. STEFANO GIOVANNONI
Stefano Giovannoni’s designs are
unique yet also very practical. The
sauce pitcher and salt and pepper
shakers have a nice twist. Even the
carpet beaters seem friendly and
appealing. Stefano uses smooth and
organic colors to change these every
day products.
