Let’s analyze these trends.

Microlearning
• Acknowledges how people consume
mobile content
• Embraces those small moments
• Focuses on one key learning
takeaway, not monolithic
• Not assessment centric,
engagement centric
• It’s so hot right now… FocusOn

Standards
• XAPI is all the rage, right?
• It’s flexible – which is a strength
• It’s flexible – which is a weakness
• CMI-5 is emerging as the xAPI on
rails – a recipe book of sorts
• completed vs finished
• began vs started
• experienced vs learned

Better Tools
• Mobile first approach, not a “hack”
• Designed with the end user
experience in mind
• Not as “slide-focused”
• Web-based, cloud friendly
• Examples
• Adapt (https://www.adaptlearning.org/)
• Gomo (http://www.gomolearning.com/)
• Web Frameworks (Bootstrap,
Foundation)

Why is the LMS
changing?
• Not user friendly
• Not accessible
• Not micro learning focused
• Not mobile compatible
• My enterprise customers are
“abandoning” it for greener pastures
• Relegated to compliance and HR

Project Rationale
Learning content is expensive to produce. The reuse of this content
continues to decline. Creating large, time consuming courses that take 30-
60 minutes or more to complete is a losing battle in the competition for
time and engagement of our learners. Gaming has been shown to be an
effective form of teaching for many uses. Let’s create something that our
teams love to use and embrace their competitive nature.

repeat usage.

Project Rationale
Roles with high levels of attrition and where onboarding is considered a
“nice-to-have” rather than a normal part of professional development don’t
get the training they need to make informed decisions and provide good
customer service. This is especially true when product knowledge is low
and the buying process is complicated. The LMS is too slow and too
difficult to use for this.
We need to

effective answers to
our associates.

Project Rationale
With the surge in usage and the expanding role mobile devices have in
day-to-day activity, military and law enforcement active, operational
agents, and service members are often using devices in new and
potentially unsafe ways and may be contributing to a technology landscape
that could jeopardize operational effectiveness and safety for others.

Editor's Notes Float helps you solve your unique business challenges by building secure, custom apps that leverage the affordances of mobile devices.
An affordance is something unique about a particular object. For instance, mobile affordances include sensors, cameras, memory, messaging, voice communications and more.
Today, I’ll touch on two of these affordances - geolocation and push notifications - but first I want to tell you about who we work for. confo I will go into these in order of complexity… what is easy to achieve versus taking a little more time. Mobile computing devices can store large amounts of data, are highly portable and are frequently unprotected: They are easy to steal or lose, and unless precautions are taken, an unauthorized person can gain access to the information stored on them or accessed through them. Mobile computing devices can store large amounts of data, are highly portable and are frequently unprotected: They are easy to steal or lose, and unless precautions are taken, an unauthorized person can gain access to the information stored on them or accessed through them. getting an “A” in the app alleviates over 80% of the major security threats tracked by Kaspersky and OWASP So with that said, what questions do you have? How could we help contribute to your success?
