My school is in Sourpi. My school is ninety-eight
years old. It is big. It has got two floors. There
are twelve classrooms. It has got a playground.
It has got a computer room. It hasn’t got a
music room. There are a football court and a
basketball court. There are six classes and
there are eleven teachers. There are ninety-
eight pupils.
MY SCHOOL

My school is big. It has got nine large
classrooms and windows with yellow curtains. In
the classrooms there are desks and chairs,
teachers’ desks, boards and maps. There is a
computer room, too. Also, there is a big football
court and a basketball court for the children to
play. I have good teachers and there are good
students in my class. My school is fantastic and
I love it!

My school is in Sourpi, Greece. It is ninety-eight
years old. It is big and it has got a large
playground.
There are six classes in my school and there are
nine classrooms. There is a computer room, but
there isn’t a music room. There are thirteen
teachers in my school (a French teacher, an
English teacher, a Music teacher, an I.T. teacher,
a P.E. teacher and eight teachers for all
subjects).
Our playground is big. There is a football and a basketball court. There are also trees and flowers.
I love my school very much! I have fun with my friends and I learn new things!

Do you want to see pictures of our school? Well, let’s start with the buildings! There are two buildings!
The old one, which is made of stone …

Our playground is very big! Here are some pictures:
The old building of the Primary School of Sourpi was built in 1831 – 1835. It started as a boys’ school
and in 1886 it also became a girls’ school. The boys’ school was on the first floor and the girls’ school
was on the second floor of the old building. Back then, boys and girls entered the school from
different gates of the playground!

And some pictures from the inside of our school! Here is the school library! We do not have a room for
it; it is actually in the corridor of the second floor in the old building!
And here is the room where we hold all the events and celebrations! It is really big! It has got a stage
and many chairs for the audience. The man standing in front of the screen is our Headteacher, Mr.
Nicolaos Peristeras.
And this is our computer room. It is in the second floor of the old building. When we have English, we
move to the computer room to have a lesson.
