Wisconsin produces more than 600 type of
cheese and dairy products.
To promote their cheese Wisconsin Milk
Marketing Board came up with an idea of
creating a Facebook page “Cheese and Burger
Society” (Facebook.com/CheeseAndBurger)
They discuss topics like grilling and burgers
and to gain access to special content,
discounts or contests Facebook users have to
like their page.
4.
The page discusses different cheese burger
recipes from different areas and thus in this
way with each recipe they’re promoting their
different variations of cheese.
To increase engagement, Cheese & Burger
Society created a Send to a Friend app,
allowing fans to send a cheeseburger to their
friends. This is fun, easy and promotes viral
visibility.
5.
The Cheese & Burger Society also encourages
fans to post pictures. Photos and videos get a
better EdgeRank (Facebook’s algorithm for
determining what shows up on your fans
news feeds) and people love to share photos.
The marketing campaign gave Wisconsin
cheese a huge boost in terms of promotion
and sale. The page have more than 121K+
users. The society is also running a
successful online merchandise store now.

They created a funny promotional video titled
“How to share games on Playstation 4”
8.
This video became so viral on YouTube that
Sony’s revival – Microsoft had to cancel their
product (though they revised it later with a
different name (Xbox One) and with the antipiracy feature eliminated)
This promotion gave a huge boost to PS4
against its revival and Sony sold more than 1
Million copies of PS4 within 24 hours, alone,
in US and Canada.
