2. Methodology
• Examining the influence of the eclipses on a
personal horoscope demands lots of hours of
studying, as the influence has to be traced not
only on the natal chart, but also in additional
charts, like progressions, solar return, etc.
• For this presentation though we chose to limit
ourselves solely on the influences on the birth
chart, leaving only transits as an additional
aspect of influence to be referenced.
3. Methodology
• In order for the presentation to have some kind
of practical impact on our audience we chose the
method of focusing on a selection of famous and
widely known personalities from Greece and
abroad.
• From these persons’ lives we chose significant
events and examined whether there is an
astrological influence which can be traced back
to the eclipses.
4. Margaret
Thatcher
Example 1: Margaret
Thatcher and the loss of
the position of prime
minister 1/11/1990
We notice that one of the
basic aspects of the
August 6 Lunar Eclpise,
Mars opposition Pluto) is
blocking a major planet
in Thatcher’s natal chart,
namely Saturn on her
Ascendant (iron lady).
This is also activated by a
Mercury transit on the
day of the event,
Mercury being the ruler
of her natal Midheaven.
5. Muhammad
Ali
Example 2:
Muhammad Ali and
refusing to join the
army during the
Vietnam war. His
imprisonment was a
major milestone in
the emancipation of
black community in
the US.
We notice his refusal
is coinciding with
an eclipse on his
natal Mars, whereas
the transiting Sun is
also very close,
although separating.
6. Muhammad
Ali
Example 3: Trial and
imprisonment of
Muhammad Ali
We notice the next
eclipse taking place
in conjunction to
natal Saturn in the
10th house
(reputation, trial)
Also, the Ascendant
of the eclipse is on
natal Pluto in the
12th house
(imprisonment) and
is activated by
transiting Jupiter.
7. Michael
Jackson
Example 4: Michael
Jackson’s death. The
eclipse in conjunction
to Chiron (disease,
medical error), close
to natal MC (spreads
out). More important
however, the eclipse
is taking place on the
4th/10th house axis
where he has his
Moon (4th house and
Moon for the end of
life). Transiting Moon
could be said to be an
activator, but the
time does not match
well exactly.
8. Archbishop
Christodoulos
(unknown time)
Example 5: His
coming to the
archbishop
throne.
We notice the positive
eclipse of February
in conjunction to
Jupiter being in
conjunction to his
natal Jupiter in
Pisces. This
position favors
success in religious
positions.
9. Andreas Papandreou
(greek prime
minister)
(unknow time, Julian
Calendar)
Example 6: 1st
election of Andreas
Papandreou
The solar eclipse of July
in trine to Uranus
signifies a change of
leaders for the country.
In conjunction to natal
Jupiter in 3rd gave
enormous impact of
his word in the crowd
(famous for his open
speeches to the crowd).
This position also has a
Moon transit in the
election day.
10. Andreas Papandreou
(greek prime
minister)
(unknow time, Julian
Calendar)
Example 7: Fall of
Papandreou in the
elections of
18/6/1989
Lunar eclipse is on his natal
Sun in the 10th house
(power) and Ascendant on
his natal Saturn.
However the solar eclispe
coming next made him
give a fight, as it was in
conjunction to his natal
Mars and the Ascendant
was on his natal Moon.
This lunar eclipse
however and the impact
on Saturn proved
stronger. However he
managed to maintain
party leadership and 4
years later was reelected.
11. Konstantinos
Karamanlis (1st greek
prime minister after
1974,
unknow time, julian
calendar)
Example 8:
Restoration of
Republic
The eclipse before July 24
signifies a change in
leadership (square
Uranus and trine to
Jupiter). It applies
positive influence to
the natal complex of
Moon/Jupiter/Pluto
whereas the position of
Jupiter in the Eclipse
in conjunction to natal
Saturn, opens the door
to exercising power.
This is deepened by the
retrograde transit of
Jupiter from the same
position.
12. Conclusions
• In many cases important individual events prove
to have a connection to eclipses.
• This of course is deepened and becomes more
accurate if we include transits in the picture.
• The involvement of eclipses however makes the
individual to mundane, thus the events
mentioned are of course personal, but had a
significant impact to the people around the
figures mentioned.
