Bear Grylls’ Born Survivor is produced in a
participatory style. The host, Bear Grylls, is
participating in a survival situation in order to
educate the viewer on survival tips on staying
alive. This mode allows the visual learning of
Bear’s experience and is therefore the most
effective mode to produce this documentary in.
4. Documentaries
The Discovery Channel produces documentaries
primarily focused on science, technology, history
and the extreme. The channel is primarily a
documentary channel, unlike channels such as
the BBC and ITV who show a variety of content.
