Course objective To give preparation of medicinal plants, their dosis, using period, effects, side effects, adverse effects, using
during pregnancy, interaction of plant-drug, preclinical and clinical safety limits, pharmacokinetic and
pharmacodinamic properties, legislations and regulations
Learning outcomes To emphasize the importance of herbal medicine from the point of view of pharmacy.
- Learning of the basic concepts and definitions
- Learning of the difference of traditional herbal medicinal products and food supplements.
- Learning of the interaction of medicinal plants-drug.
- Learning of the general properties and effects of herbals in different diseases.
- Learning of legislation and regulation on herbal medicines
