There is something very handy called Mobile
Apps
• Developing a mobile application which is handy and
tells where you can buy things, or sellers nearby you
• This way Ebay can reach out to its people via a social
media idea and also will become more personal, in
marketing terms. This is called Personal Selling.
Personal selling refers to a set of activities directed at the
attainment of marketing goals by establishing and maintaining direct
buyer-seller relationships through personal communication.
And introduce
PERSONAL SELLING
Concentrating more on
developing countries
Specially the BRIC countries with large population
BRAZIL, RUSSIA,INDIA,CHINA
RISK AND INVEST IN COUNTRIES LIKE
AFRICA
• In western Africa people are already very familiar with buying in
market places, and the development of better internet can help them do
the same online.
• Charts from the past tell us that there are already over 100 million
people online in Africa. This means that if I were the CEO of eBay I
wouldn't wait a minute more.
Advertising
Attracting customers via innovative and catchy
advertisements is one of the best ways to get to your people.
Social Media, Video ads, Sponsorships are the major
channels where Ebay can publicize itself further.
Breaking the Language Barrier
Ebay presently markets only in English, expanding not
just in other countries but also in their language is
another way to reach out to a larger and a variety of
population.
RECAP:
1. Need to EXPAND, INNOVATE AND INVEST more.
2. Should invest more in MOBILE APPLICATIONS.
3.Establishing and maintaining direct buyer-seller relationships .
5. eBay has to become more active in developing countries, like the BRIC countries.
6. Should attract customers via innovative and catchy ADVERTISEMENTS .
7. Expanding not just in other countries but also in their LANGUAGES also!
