This document discusses editing a picture for a digipak by removing the background using Microsoft Word. The original picture included two actors in front of green scenery. By removing the background, the picture focuses only on the actors. Testing this edited picture on a digipak template showed it could be more effective than the original by allowing a different background to be added.

Today,whenplayingaroundwithMicrosoftWordI discoveredhow toedit ourpictures.Inorderto
edita particularpicture Idouble clickedonthe picture andclickedon‘remove background’inthe
adjustsectionatthe top.Thisthenenabledme toremove all of the greensceneryinthe
background,therefore enablingme touse getour twoactors. I wantedto try a crop an image forour
digipakpriortoour final one inorderto understandthe software more andto testouthow certain
imageswould/wouldn’twork.

We feltthatthe colourcontrast was elegantandwent
well asa resultof the shotplacement. Thisshot
representsourartistsasbeingfriendlyandportraysa
positive image towardsourtargetaudience.
Thisis the same picture afterI had removedthe
background.I now feel asif the picture ismore effective
and that itwouldmake a more successful digipakpicture
as a result.Due to the fact that we have justfocusedinon
our actors and notthe scenery.Therefore,asaresultwe
couldnow add ina different backgroundinordertomake
thisparticularpicture more successful asa result.
