KNSJ 89.1FM, Community Radio Station is a listenersupported, non-commercial, educational radio station by and for the richly diverse people in San Diego.

What is Community Radio Station? • It is a community space for people to produce and broadcast their own programs, to collaborate and meet others in the community, and to participate in operating the station • The KNSJ FM Radio Project returns media to the community by being: Participatory, Local, Affordable, Transformative, Accessible • It is not about doing something for the community but about the community doing something for itself, ie. owning and controlling its own means of communication
