Diego project to bring education, information (including
emergency information), community affairs, entertainment and
cultural programs to areas where no such public broadcasting
service has existed before.

the richly diverse people in San Diego.
6. What is Community Radio Station?
• It is a community space for people to produce and broadcast
their own programs, to collaborate and meet others in the
community, and to participate in operating the station
• The KNSJ FM Radio Project returns media to the community
by being: Participatory, Local, Affordable,
Transformative, Accessible
• It is not about doing something for the community but about
the community doing something for itself, ie. owning and
controlling its own means of communication
