The author rank code in your website and blog is like your fingerprint, in Google's eyes. It brands your content with your face. Here's one of my blog posts. At the time this screenshot was taken in July, mine was the number 1 search result when you type in: Does Social Media Marketing Grow Business. But even if it weren't the top result, you still would have noticed it here on page one because of my photo. Your eye is drawn to it. In today's webinar, I'm going to show how you can do this for yourself but more importantly, I'm going to explain WHY you must do this.I'm also going to show you why you must increase your social signal to increase your findability all over the Internet.

Authority: the cream rises to the top. Google is going to use data connected through Authorship to determine who the top authorities are on specific subjects. So I take this to mean: the more valuable content you have online that's identifiable by your fingerprint / your authorship code then chances are great that you can traillblaze your way right now while not too many people know about this yet.
As you guest post on other people's blogs, be sure to give your authorship snippet of code to your blog host so it can be placed with your blog post. Remember to include a by-line.
The more interaction you have with your Google+ posts, the more authority you have. It's all logical when you think about it, right? Remember: Google+ was not founded by entreprepreneurs like Facebook and Twitter was. Google+ was and is built by engineers.
