At the time we set out to do this survey, no such thing as the Interagency Partnership for Sustainable Communities – remember the administration in 2008... Were not focused on the pros and cons of federal policy, simply on best practices at the local level.

At least 3,408 affordable housing units have been created through transit agency joint development. At least 1,813 additional units were in various stages of planning and development at time of survey.
