Martine Durand presented at the African Conference on Measuring Well-Being and Fostering the Progress of Societies in Rabat held on 19, 20 and 21 April 2012. The African Conference on Measuring Well-Being and Fostering the Progress of Societies is one of a series of regional conferences being conducted in preparation for the 4th OECD World Forum on Statistics, Knowledge and Policy, to be held in New Delhi on 16 to 19 October 2012.

there is a great need for statistical capacity building

5. African contribution to Dehli
– The selected dimensions and the raised concerns will be
reflected in the program and in the conclusions of Delhi.
– These regional conferences, including the African
Conference, and the Forum of Delhi are the building
blocks for post 2015 development agenda.

– OECD/Development Centre and PARIS21 are ready to
work with african partners (UNECA and other regional
parteners)
– An African network in collaboration with the Economic
Commission for Africa and Morocco
