The RSHP Gala Ball was a fantastic successful charity ball to celebrate RSHP\'s 30th anniversary year. The ball raised £25,000 for RSHP, a local independent homeless charity in Reading

2. Reading Single Homeless Project is Reading’s only independent
supported housing charity. It started as a soup kitchen in the 1970s
and now has 58 properties offering 105 bed spaces!
However, RSHP does not just offer a bed and a roof, we offer help
with managing money and paying bills, with understanding the
rights and responsibilities of a tenancy, works with other agencies
such as drug & alcohol services, and helps tenants manage their house
hold tasks. Through fund raising it offers additional services including
an alcohol support worker and support group, employment, training
and education, a counselling service, a young persons project, an
awarding winning allotment, a volunteers officer and a community
psychiatric nurse.
This is what RSHP offers, the best opportunity for homeless people
to be reintegrated back into the community.
