AOA this is Syeda Sana Batool. Today I will guide you on How to make your Presentation effective? Before I began my ppt. first of all I would like to share with you the contents of my ppt.
To begin with we will discuss how to structure your ppt? And checklist to make your ppt. effective and then I will summarize the key points to be remembered. Finally, we will have a question and answer session. Let’s begin with the brief structure of presentation….
To start with always welcome the audience Begin your presentation with main idea or by hinting the main idea of your presentation Then elaborate and expand in the middle And finally give a brief positive courteous close. Now we move towards the checklist for effective ppt. Before I proceed I would like to tell you Remember, Tell them what you are going to tell them Then tell them Then tell them what you have told them
The key is to know what to include in your ppt. and what to omit. This is determined by the purpose of your ppt. And your audience. Ask yourself what is the purpose of the ppt. is it to inform or to persuade? the purpose of ppt determines the contents of ppt. e.g. when purpose is to persuade you will began with an attention getting statement. Having defined the purpose 2 nd step is to analyze the audience. If your audience is known then it is easy to present as they are aware of the environment. Background and the context. On the other hand if your audience is new you will then have to first of all let them know the context. Also the key factors that determines the contents of presentation includes age, occupation e.t.c. Having determined the purpose and analyzed the audience, the contents of your ppt. usually would be
Introduction is probably the most important part.the purpose of the introduction is to tell the audience “what you are going to tell them”. During the introduction you need to gain attention, attract interest, create desire, and stimulate action . you should start with the attention getter point. Topic that connects to the needs and interests of the audience usually generates interest. In the middle of your ppt. the contents should be systamatically organized and focused towards the main idea also consideration must be given to the time constraint To ensure your ppt. is complete, concrete and concise. Also you would not want your audience to get bored. So
Restate main points in form of summary, Inviting questions implies that the audience are less expert . Inviting discussion gives impression that the audience have useful experience.
To make your ppt. easy to understand use visuals aids they make it convenient for your audience to draw conclusions. Essential also is to choose the right form. Audience listen attentively to those speaker who have credibility. So while presenting you should speak with authority and conviction. . While giving presentation another important thing is the delivery of the presentation. So lets see some tips for the delivery

Further interaction with the audience is essential, use positive body language to involve your audience. Non verbal cues also play vital role for the effective presentation. Try to use gestures that are natural. Another most important thing is the standing position. Your weight should be evenly distributed on your both feats In order to involve your audience you can put questions and encourage questions from the audience in the next slide we’ll look at how to field questions
When dealing wiyh questions from your audence you can either throw the question to the audience, ask the question to be repeated or rephrase so that you can comprehend the question or if you want to gain sometime to organise your answer. Check that the question is relevant If you don’t know the answer accept it or if the question relates to additional data or information you can share it after the ppt. Having learned different aspects of an effective ppt. now I will summarize few pertinent rules that should be followed during the ppt.
Remember to practse before ppt. be relaxed and seem spontaneous during the ppt. be friendly to your audience and last but not the least take command of your ppt. be prepared and confident. This leads to conclusion of my ppt. always remember
