IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SDMX
IN COLOMBIA

2. Between 2015 and 2016 the State of Colombia
incorporated into its regulations the use of SDMX standard
for dissemination and exchange of statistical information
between entities belonging to the National Statistical
System (NSS).
Incorporates the standard within the common language of
information-sharing of government policy online (GEL)
As governing body and coordinator of the NSS, DANE
promotes SDMX as international statistical standard.

6. Construction of SDMX artifacts to disseminate the results of the Third
National Agricultural Census - CNA2
Consolidation of agricultural statistics in the country through the SDMX
for its dissemination.
Grouping of information by the various issues under discussion.
Developing of homogeneous SDMX structures as input of statistical
operations associated to agricultural issues.

Accompaniment in the building of clients SDMX from the libraries offered by the
SDMX Source for the development of interoperability between entities.
Development of a software project of open source that allows, from the SDMX
Source libraries - java and, to implement projects of web visualization.

10. Having a policy support at country level on the adoption and use of standard builds
trust in institutions to develop dissemination projects through the SDMX standard.
The accompaniment in implementing the standard for dissemination of statistical
information to national entities, has contributed to:

2. Promoting the exchange of information between SEN entities, both national

Learnings

11. By the standard SDMX it was possible to quickly develop a visualization and
exchange project that involved building a database dissemination of indicators
and a consultation system based on SDMX technologies.
It is very useful in the adoption of SDMX standard, not only use technologies
available on the web but perform internal exercises because they generate higher
capacities and understanding in the use of the standard.
