Trainer notes
15’ Introducing
the session,
Icebreaker.
Brief explanation of the
session.
------
Everybody sticks on his
back a sheet of paper and
writes a single word on
the sheet of every person
that in his opinion best
describes his/her
personality. Then take out
the sheet and read aloud
the words.
------
Everybody picks one
word from his/her list that
he/she likes the best,
writes it on a post-it and
sticks it on his/her shirt.
(or sweater, or
whatever! :P)
A blank sheet of
paper and a pen
for every person,
trainer included.
Paper tape.
Post-its.
Do not start a
discussion
about how
much they feel
described by
those words or
not. It’s just a
personal
impression to
take as it is.
30’ Team
Personality
Types test.
People fill in the test
about the different team
personality types
(handout 1), then look up
at the solutions and read
aloud the profiles.
(handout 2)
------
Sharing questions:
- Do you feel described
by your profile outcome?
Yes, no, why?
Team personality
types handout 1
and handout 2.
Pens.
It is absolutely
normal if more
than one
person feels
that he/she
belongs to
more than one
type. We are
unique! :)
40’ Visualization
&
Brainstorming
The trainer asks the
following questions:
1.Have you ever been
Flipcharts,
colored markers.
Do not
interrupt the
sharing flow
but at the same
part of a team that you
considered really
great? People share
experiences.
2.What was different
about that team? What
were the feelings you
had? Trainer writes
down the comments on
a flipchart.
3. How can you, as a
team and with your
different personalities,
can re-create those
feelings here?
Brainstorm ideas and
write them on a
flipchart.
4.Which can be the rules
for a smooth work of
the team? And the
success factors for
your task at the end of
the project?
Brainstorm ideas and
write them on a
flipchart.
5. What is your personal
commitment? Give
markers to the people
and let them write and
then sign on a blank
flipchart their personal
commitment. Write the
date and then stick it to
the wall! :)
time do not let
people discuss
too much
about an issue
or petty
details. Bring
the discussion
back on topic
if needed.
5’ Wrap-up! Sum up the session, thank
the people for their
participation and start a
big applause! :)
------
Collect the sheets with the
words they wrote at the
beginning and give them
to the team leader to keep
them in a safe place till
the end of the project...
when he/she will give
them back to the people to
look back at what they
were considering each
other at the time (they
may even repeat the
exercise to make a
comparison)
Ask for
feedbaaacks! :)
