We were hired by the Spanish telecom Movistar to envision the best solution for what their VOD service should look like. We designed it. And it’s called Movistar Video. This presentation puts together the main concepts and design premises we had in mind before we started working.

and faces we recognize.

One action per module.

Cleaner layouts, less clutter.

Actions should be performed
using remote control cursors on

There is no tactile feedback on

touchscreens. We should use

compensate the lack of
feedback.

networks just for the essential.

Some pages will need visual customisation.
If content is separated from graphics,
customisation will be easy for the CMS
people and elegant to the user.

We should avoid merging
text inside images to
achieve indexability and
readability.

28. Neutral interface
Colorful and bright content
demands a neutral and dark
interface.

29. Visual choices for visual content
It’s not a web portal but a
video app. If content is visual,
decisions shouldn’t be based
on reading.
