2. ARCHITECTURE
This is an example of columns
at the White House in
Washington D.C. . The
columns are called Ionian
columns that were used
inAncient Greece. This
architecture is one of the many
ways that the people of the
Renaissance brought back it
teachings and ideas from
Ancient Greece and Rome.
The columns provide support to
the rest of the White House.
3. LITERATURE
In English class I read and
watched Romeo and Juliet by
William Shakespeare. A big
part of the Renaissance was
humanism. William
Shakespeare was influenced
by humanism when writing his
plays. It gave is characters
emotions and feelings in the
plays.
4. ART
The Last Supper by Leonardo da
Vinci is hanging in my house.
Leonardo da Vinci used
perspective in his piece and
fresco. Leonardo tried to make a
new fresco for this piece, but it
was unsuccessful. Art played a
huge part in the Renaissances.
The human emotion shown in
their faces of each person in the
painting is a prime example of
humanism. Also using
perspective in this piece is an
example of humanism.
5. INVENTION
The thermometer is one of the
many inventions during the
Renaissance. The
thermometer was invented by
Galileo. I have many
thermometers used to check if I
have a fever, to check food,
and to check the temperature.
This invention during the time
of humanism helped solve a
human need and problem.
6. INVENTION
I use eyeglasses and they are
invented in the Renaissance.
Eyeglasses are used to help
eyesight out. This is important to
the Renaissance because it is an
important invention that is still
used today. Even though it is is
not the original it gas been
modified to what we need to do
today , it was invented during the
Renaissance, a time of rebirth.
This invention during the time of
humanism helped solve a human
need and problem.
