This document discusses electric vehicle charging infrastructure and rates in San Diego. It provides the following information:
- There are currently around 800 plug-in electric vehicles in the San Diego region, with over 400 signed up for SDG&E's experimental electric vehicle rate.
- SDG&E has several electric vehicle rates available and is holding upcoming workshops on workplace and multi-unit dwelling charging.
- Through the EV Project, over 500 residential chargers have been installed in homes in San Diego County, with over 70% having all costs covered.
- Publicly available level 2 chargers are being installed at over 400 commercial sites like retailers and hospitals. Over 50 chargers have already been installed, while
