Recent HBS study: over 1.4 Million Non-profits. That doesn’t even include the thousands of for-profit social enterprises. If we look at the Census data for social entrepreneurship, we’d estimate about 1 Million for profits.
A traditional maxim for choosing companies to back. Early stage, back jockeys, later stage, back horses.
Another maxim for picking winners. Of the three, Character counts most, then competence, then confidence.
