Highlights 2010-2011 Awarded TAP/TIF Grant “If we are going to make a positive shift with our student achievement levels, we need to change what we are currently doing, which means we also may need to re-examine our own beliefs and may need to strengthen our professional skills. TAP can do just that. Our students will produce a daily announcement broadcast. In addition to the daily announcements, students will create multimedia presentations of core classes, produce segments that help future students, and work in a 21st Century Skills way.
Concept: To provide a multi use space to serve several purposes; student learning, community engagement, and teacher professional development. Objectives:Military students/parents have oppotunity to use to computers to Skype family members overseas. Parents to be trained on technology their students use. An opportunity for students to have technology to do their homework. Opportunity for students to stay afterschool for homework and other technology oppoturnities for student achievement growth and also not go home to an empty home. Great place for staff development. Great place for community meetings.Great place to market school to newly located military families.Great place to promote STEM. Science, Technology, Engineering, and MathA place to have technology math and science games for student competition.
