Back history – Wake county - St. Timothy’s School – helped to establish PLCs from the ground up. I was finding good collaboration with a few teachers. School wide it was more uneven. Student were leaving with uneven learning in the vital areas that we teach Interaction with board around the need for professional learning time embedded in the school day. Iowa City – attempts to organize district wide PLCs …floundered . Flexible adminstrator but structural limitations were large and appeared to be slow to change. Iowa City was eye opening and created a new sense of urgency to really ramp up my teaching practice.
