Welcome and introductionsDavid Baume and Helen Beetham who I’m sure many of you will know have significant expertise in staff and educational development and have been key contributors to the UKPSF work we are talking about todayMe – involved in supporting a range of Jiscprogrammes and developing resources from outputs and findings of these.
  3. Jisc has a key role in the sector to help drive innovation in UK education and research through the effective use of digital technologies. Through a range of programmes we are able to develop and share knowledge and resources to support new approaches and we are working through partnerships and collaborations with institutions and sector bodies to build capacity across the sector and support change. These collaborations are key to better embedding new knowledge and thinking and we have taken new approaches by working with and through professional associations that represent a large number of staff roles in the HE sector. A shining example has been through the DDL programme, a 2 yrprog which aims to promote the development of coherent, inclusive approaches to digital capability within the sector. Alongside 12 institutional projects, we’ve been working with 10 associations. NEXT SLIDE.Having them involved in this work has brought a cross-fertilisation of expertise which will ultimately add value to their services to members and enhance and better embed knowledge and resources to support technology-enhanced practice. BACK TO SLIDE.As a result of this collaborative approach the associations involved in this programme, led by SEDA, have worked together to develop this work around the UKPSF. Jisc’s role has been to enable and facilitate rather than lead so the ownership is very much with these organisations. What this resource does in essence is to provide a UKPSF lens on resources supporting digital practice so it is fully contextualised for you as users. Have included link to the Design Studio from which many resources have been drawn for further background and emergent outputs and outcomes from the DDL programme.
