Chris Stokes has signed a one-year deal with Coventry City.
The left-back spent the final two months of last season with the Sky Blues on loan from Forest Green
Rovers, making 16 appearances and scoring one goal having joined when Steven Pressley was in
charge before impressing new boss Tony Mowbray with his attitude and application.
He started his career with Bolton Wanderers and also had a loan spell with Crewe Alexandra before
joining Forest Green Rovers in 2010.

He made 130 appearances for the non-league outfit but was released in the summer and he has now
been rewarded by Mowbray with a permanent deal at the Sky Blues.
Marcus Tudgay became the first professional to sign up for the new campaign earlier in the week
while City are still waiting to hear from Ivor Lawton and Reda Johnson who have both been offered
new deals at the club.
Mowbray told the club's website: "I'm delighted to see Chris sign with us as we begin organising our
squad for the upcoming season.
"Chris is a player I enjoyed working with since I joined the club in February as you can tell he is
eager to learn and improve his game."
