1. Survivor Activity
During this activity, you were to put yourself in a hypothetical situation where everyone in the world has
died off due to a plague except 12 people. There is a bunker that has enough resources for four people.
You are to pick four people to keep in the bunker and explain why. Explain why you did not let the other
people join the bunker as well.
The people to choose from was a (an):
Scientist
Doctor
Professor
Priest
Pregnant woman and her five year old child
Elderly woman
Disabled person
Lazy dependent on welfare
Married couple on drugs
Military officer with mental issues
Lawyer
My group picked:
Scientist- knows plants, body, make more medications with other resources, when rebuilding society he
will have more knowledge of everything.
Doctor- he will know reproduction, illnesses, injury, well-round educated.
Priest- give people faith to survive.
Pregnant woman- add someone else to society, she might know social norm.
2. My group decided to not pick:
Elderly woman- may not be able to reproduce, slow.
Disabled person- probably can't reproduce, needs special care, and more resources.
Lazy dependent- wouldn't put in their fair share wile taking up resources.
Married couple- take medication, withdrawal, go crazy.
Military officer- don't know what mental illnesses from the military can do to a person stuck in a bunker.
Lawyer- won't help much, there are better people to choose.
... I did not personally choose to go this route.
