Personal aims: Strengthen the vocabulary abouttoys which was
introduced on the previous class. Makethe classes enjoyableso that the
children are able to learn through play. Providea context (children’s day-
toys) for the new unit and engage the students into meaningful activities.
Ojectives: by the end of the lesson the students will be able to identify
and distinguish the toy words introduced the previous class; recognizethe
toy words after looking to their images; repeat the pronunciation of the
new words.
Language exponents
Vocabulary: ball, car, doll, teddy bear, block, kite.
Prior knowledge:on the previous class the children have been introduced
to new vocabulary concerning toys. They have also worked on the word
toys pronunciation.
Grammar: What is it? What’s this? It’s a …?
Is it a ball? Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t.
2. ACTIVITIES
WARM-UP
1. We will show the children the toys flashcards in order to bring into
their memories the vocabulary introduced lastclass. After showing
each image to the children, we will make use of the grammatical
structure“What’sthis?, Whatis it?” to ask the children to identify each
toy and thereforepronouncethem.
BODY OF THE LESSON
1. We will distributethe toy flashcards round theclassroom and then ask
the children to point the image of the toy we say with the purposeof
making the children distinguish between the different flashcards.

2. Then the students will make an activity consisting of a sumwhosethey
will have to match with the correctresult. In this way, the children will
also work with the numbers learned in the previous two sessions.

As to finish the lesson, the kids will play a memo test game making useof
images and words.
