Tutankhamun was a pharaoh of Egypt who ruled from 1334 BC to 1325 BC. He became pharaoh at age 9 after his father Akhenaten's death. In 1922, English archaeologist Howard Carter discovered Tutankhamun's nearly intact tomb in the Valley of the Kings, containing over 3,000 treasures intended to help him in the afterlife. The discovery of the boy king's tomb sparked widespread interest in ancient Egypt.

kings, such as Tutankhamun. An ancient Egyptian king, or
pharaoh, was considered to be a living god and worshipped as
a divine being. The pharaoh was an absolute ruler of Egypt
and both the political and religious leader.

• There is no positive evidence on Tutankhamun's
mummy as to how he met his death.
• During an x-ray of the mummy in 1968, scientists
found bone fragments in Tut's skull, prompting a
sensational theory that the boy king had been by
a heavy impact to death.

wasn't murdered after all, but died from a broken

popularity
• There was a conflict between archaeologists
about Tutankhamun achievements; they broke
into two group’s the first group mention in
specific details Tutankhamun achievements;
and the second group said he was famous for
his golden tomb ONLY.

• He built things at Karnack and Luxor.
• At Luxor he continued the construction of the entrance colonnades of Amenhotep
III's temple. (The famous picture of Luxor where you see all the pillars is the
entrance is colonnade that Tutankhamen mostly started, decorated and finished.)
• He richly beautifies the temples with images of Amun, Amunet, and Khonsu.
• Even more statues and sphinxes characterize Tutankhamen himself.

• Because Tutankhamun died at such a young age, his major
accomplishments are considered next to nothing. He did not
build any great pyramids or fall responsible for any of Egypt’s
turmoil. He is most well-known for his tomb, which was
discovered in 1922. His tomb and the discovery are the most
famous because of the fact that it had remained virtually
untouched since it was closed
