Let freedom RecON! The Outdoor Recreation Program will be offering FREE banana
boat rides, kayaks and paddle boats, windsurfing, and stand-up paddle boards. Also
there will be a FREE American Canoe Association Quickstart Your Lake Kayak
Course for first time paddlers to learn the basics of kayak paddling. A shuttle will be
provided between building 543 and the Base Beach.
9 JULY @ 1900 – BURGERS ‘N BOWLING
Meet the Liberty Staff at the Walmsley Bowling Center for a FREE combo meal,
soft drink and two games of bowling. Pros and underdogs are always welcome.
Reserve your space by email and don’t forget to invite a shipmate from the
squadrons. ®
12 JULY @ 1800 – MOVIE NIGHT
Take a load off after a long week and relax with a flick that you pick; movie choices will
be put on our Facebook page for you to vote. FREE Subway sandwiches, soft drinks, and
water will be served.
13-14 JULY – LAKE TOWADA FIREWORKS & CAMPING
Two days and one night at Utarube Campground to get back to nature and far
away from base! Transportation and all gear are included, register with Liberty
and start to coordinate with a ‘cooking partner’. Lounge around, take a hike
up/down Oirase Gorge, explore around with your camera, drive into town for an
onsen, and travel up the road to see the Fireworks Festival! $53 ® ¥

A dinner for all to enjoy some time away from base, try some new foods and
practice Japanese phrases. The Liberty Program will supply the “ride and the
guide”. Please bring yen for your meal. Depart from the Liberty Center @

20 JULY @ 1800 – STREET FIGHTER X TEKKEN 2013
TOURN: This will be a single-player, double-elimination tournament on the
PS3 and Liberty will serve some light refreshments. Bragging rights will be
awarded. ®
26 JULY @ 1800 – MOVIE NIGHT: You know the drill, vote for your favorite on Facebook.
27 JULY @ 0900 – YOKOHAMA BEACH DAY
A day at the beach on Mutsu Bay. Afternoon BBQ will be BYO meats and
sides. After a beautiful sunset we will take time to see fireflies at the scenic
overlook with some ice cream for dessert. $17 ® ¥

30 JULY @ 1800 – BOARD AND BROKE NIGHT: Waiting for Pay
Day? Let Liberty help you pass the time with FREE board games and ramen
noodles. You know you are going to eat them anyways, might as well be with us.

take your calls, register you for trips, and anything else we might help you with.
