In choosing  plumbing supplies, saving money is not always the Best Choice! There are several different ways to approach saving money on your plumbing supplies depending on the project you have in mind and what you budget is like.  You can of course go to your local hardware store and deal with the prices they charge, but your chances of getting a good deal are relatively slim.
There are the discount hardware superstores that often have low prices on many of the supplies you are going to need, but at the same time you might find that other prices are relatively high to compensate for the ones that you got as a bargain. Finally you can look online at the number of sites that sell any number of plumbing supplies at prices you are not likely to find anywhere else. However, you need to very careful how you shop. Whether you are building your own home or simply taking care of some repairs yourself, you need to research the different plumbing supplies you are going to need very carefully. It is fine to try and save a little money on your supplies, but at the same time because you are dealing with your home's water supply you need to make sure that you do not opt for the type of cheap parts that will cause you problems later on.
