Within 18 months, from home, I was making up to 4 times per week the amount I had previously held as a goal. And I was doing it without much overhead, without a boss, without being at the mercy of the gyms schedule, without leaving the house, if I don't want to! I now can schedule my days as I desire, I wake up when I wake up, I work a while, do a home workout and spend time during the middle of the work day doing an outside fitness activity, when the weather permits. I work with my team online, I train clients virtually, I spend time on personal development, I blog, I share my Health, Fitness and Nutrition advice via social media and my website.

1. My journey from a group dance instructor and Personal Trainer to (a stay at home) (home based)
Health and Fitness Business owner.
My Health and Fitness journey started in 1999, I was a working mom with 3 kids and hated my job.
(there I said it, Hated!)
You see I'm one of those people that have to see a greater purpose than just working a job to make
money. Making money just doesn't motivate me, I need to feel a part of something bigger, something
where I feel that my purpose in life is being fulfilled.
Well, one day several fellow employees (I was working as a dental assistant at that time) asked if I
would like to join them after work to go to the gym.
There is where I found my passion, you see it was the first time I had joined in a group workout class! I
loved the music, the energy, the fun, It didn't feel like I was even working out!
From that day on I knew that I needed to be involved in some type of group fitness activity. Since I
loved dance, I soon found a local Jazzercise class to join. It became my happy place! I so looked
forward to getting off work and attending the class several nights a week.

2. So naturally I became a licensed Jazzercise instructor soon after.
And for a while, I worked and taught as one of the instructors at a local studio. But I wanted more, so I
opened up my own Jazzercise studio and ran it for 5 years.
Wanting to go deeper into fitness, I decided to teach other formats and went for and received my AFAA
group instructor certification. Later I became a N.A.S.M. certified personal trainer, Sports Nutrition
Specialist and a Zumba instructor.

3. All this was great and while I was teaching or training a client, I loved it. However, I just wasn't
making the money I needed to, in order to be able to relax and enjoy being full time in the fitness
business.
If it wasn't the overhead of running a studio, it was the low pay of $20 - $30 dollars per class fee the
local gyms where willing to pay for a group class. I just couldn't teach enough classes to make my goal
of $250/wk take home. (which was about all I would be taking home if I worked a job as a dental
assistant, after paying for daycare/after school care and other expenses).
Then several years ago I received a certification to teach a workout format called PIYO Strength, the
instructor that was teaching the certification class introduced me to the Team Beachbody Coaching
opportunity.
I wasn't sure at first, especially since it didn't involve hands on Fitness training with a client or group as
I had been accustom to. But I figured I could and would continue to teach some classes and run a few
boot camp fitness classes, while I also worked on growing my Team Beachbody business from home.
Fast forward a couple of years and I am now dedicating most of my time to developing my Team
Beachbody business. Within 18 months, from home, I was making up to 4 times per week the amount I

4. So far as a Team Beachbody coach, I have enjoyed several paid weekend get a-ways with other Team
Beachbody coaches, a Disney trip, March 2014 will be an all expense paid private Team Beachbody 6
Day cruise with $500 onboard credit and I am working on earning next years 5 day trip to the all
inclusive Moon Palace in Cancun Mexico.
Now these are things I can get passionate about, no more do I focus on making money, I now focus on
helping others get physically and financially fit!
