The Kvarnby school

This is our work about how it is to go on the Kvarnby school as an student and as a teacher.
Subjects
• Swedish. Swedish is the language we speak in sweden. Its also the first thing we start with in our
schools. In Swedish class we learn grammatic and how to spell words and sentens.

• Math. We also start with math rather early. In the beginning we learn the numbers and simple methods
how to count. Now in year seven we work with problem solving.

• English. We start to learn English at third grade in the beginning we learn the numbers and the colors.

We also learn some simple words like hello, good bye, dog, cat etc. now in seventh grade we write
down texts like this one and do more complicated works.

• Chemistry. We started with chemistry in seventh grade. Its a subject where we learn about atoms and
matter. Sometimes we do experiments when we do it it is pretty funny.

• P.E. P.E is also one of the first subjects we start with. In the beginning we just play and don’t do
anything special. Now in seventh grade we do orientating, gymnastics, ball sports etc.

• Music. We started with music very early in the beginning we sang songs in group. Later we started to
play instruments and sang songs along the instrument play.

• Social knowledge. In social knowledge we work with history, geographies, religion and Social. In
history we have worked with mans beginning, Mesopotamian, Greeks and Rome. And in religion we
have worked with the beginning of the Christianity. And we have not worked with geographies and
social yet. But we should do it soon.

• Technical study. In the technical we have painted a plan of our room when we had done it we had to
build our room in paper it turned out to a cool model.
A normal day at Kvarnby

I go to school wich takes like 10-30 minutes. I take the often the bus. I go to my
cabinet and I look at what lesson ive. I start at 8:10.
Ive often 2 or three lessons before lunch. After these lessons I go to to the house
wich is outisde and only takes 5 seconds to go til. I eat my lunch and after the lunch
Ive got break. It often depens on what day it is but the lunchbreak can be from 40
minutes to 2 hours. Sometimes some lessons can get cancelled too so you never
really know until the last minute. But after the
break Ive to go back to my lessons ive after. And we end often at 2 oclock or 3

In thedining room there is always milk, water and crispbread.
But there are also differenttypes
of salads.
We usually get food like soups, stews, and fish.

In Sweden we start school at age 6. Until high school have school obligations,
butafter it is optional but if you don´t continue it can be difficult to get a job.
