4. What teachers need to know…

5. Do teachers have to use ParentConnection? TWELVE items already visible in the SIS w/o additional teacher effort. Optional: assignments and class news, both of which the teacher controls whether or not to use or share. The purpose for ParentConnection is to raise student achievement through a combined effort of communication between all stakeholders. Parents and students will have an increased accountability for their education. Teachers keep doing what they are already doing. If they choose to use the Gradebook then they need to educate their parents about their grading policy and when they update/post grades. Parents may also subscribe to emails that will alert the parent as to when assignments were posted and/or graded.
