Adding files
‘Adding a file’ is a way of adding a resource to a document share ( a place where files are
stored).
1. Go to the document share that you want to add a file to:
I want to add additional

resources document
share.
2. Click the ‘Add new Document’ Link and the following page will be displayed:

You then need to browse and select the file that you want to upload:
Browse to select the file
that you want to upload.
Select the file you wish
to upload e.g.
Worksheet_1

The location of the
selected file will be
displayed.
If you are happy click
‘OK’.
The file will then appear
in the main folder.

Moving files
When you have uploaded files you may want to move them into a sub folder, to keep the
‘document share’ tidy and make it easier to locate resources.
1. To move files go to the ‘document share’ select the link that is above the area e.g. Unit
resources
Left click on this link
above the document
share.
2. The ‘document store’ will then be displayed like below:

3. Change the view to ‘Explore View’ using the drop down at the right of the page:
Select the ‘Explorer
View’ from the drop
down list.
4. The ‘document share’ will then appear like this:
In this view files can simple be dragged into the folder

Drag the file by holding
the left button and
moving the cursor to the
chosen folder.
The file will then be moved to the folder you have selected.

Uploading multiple files
You may wish to transfer multiple files and folders to a document share to transfer a large
number of files. There are two ways to do this.
Method 1 – Uploading Multiple files
1. Go to the document share that you want to add a file to:

share.
2. Click the ‘Add new Document’ Link and the following page will be displayed:

You then need to select the ‘Upload Multiple Files’ link:
Select ‘Upload Multiple
Files’ link.
The page below will be displayed:
Select the files you want
to upload by selecting
the check box to the left
of the file.

Select the files and press OK:
You will be asked to confirm the number of files:
The files will then transfer across:

Method 2 Transferring files using explorer view
Open the document store (as described above):
1. Change the view to ‘Explore View’ using the drop down at the right of the page:
Select the ‘Explorer
View’ from the drop
down list.
Once on Explore view, you need to find the files you wish to copy across

Find the files you wish to copy across:
Select the file, go to Edit and Copy.

Go back to the document share you want to put the files
Right click and select
Paste
The files will then be transferred across:
