Group Mind
The Group Mind
People change to the atmosphere. If you are with a friend you can watch how this attitude changes
from when he is with you to when he is set in the group mind around other peers. You can also
look at yourself. Humans act on their natural instincts and if you look at yourself and how you act
when you are alone compared to how you act in the group mind setting, you will see that you
almost dumb yourself down to a level that you think will help you fit in with your friends. If we
could just open our eyes, we would see how repetitive and dumb we think inside of our group
minds. When you are alone you think about things that are natural to everybody, such as how to
improve yourself. Your time alone is the best medicine for... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Then when I was with my friends it completely changed into dirty, mindless jokes and wanting to
do things that I would never want my parents to know about. I noticed that no matter who I was
around I found it hard to just be myself and the fact that I have been unconsciously doing it all
this time made me think of what it would be like if I was just myself or different from what
everybody thinks of me. Unfortunately, I never could bring up the courage to be different, so I
started to change some of the little things that I did around my friends. I began to lose the
interest of my friends and they didn t invite me to as many things or call me to go hang out.
Surprisingly, I was ok with it. Changing the way that I acted with my friends made me realize
that they were never really my friends. They just accepted me because I wore cool clothes and
talked about the stuff that was important to the group. I know now that they are all just
acquaintances that I have had some fun times with. As Doris Lessing says in her essay, When
we re in a group mind, we tend to think as that group does. It is the hardest thing in the world to
maintain an individual dissent opinion as a member of a group. The world is filled with group
minds, not only in people but in societies as well. If the majority of a society takes a stance on a
subject the rest that don t actually agree in their mind will unconsciously conform to the group
mind and agree. The group mind is very

Muscle Torque Essay
Muscle torque is beneficial when multi joint movement (throwing) taken place with accordance to
Central Nervous System, Interaction torque, and the muscles involving when torque occurred.
Torque in multijoint limb movements doesn t only occur from muscles acting at a specific joint,
but from interactions due to the rotations of other joints (Hollerbach and FLash, 1982). In this case,
it supports Bernstein s idea that muscletorque at the two joints was not necessary related to each
other to produce coordinated joint movement (Turvey 1990). The muscle torque (MT) is a
measurement of action muscle torque to rotate the joint (Marconi 2008). Moreover, the interaction
torque (IT) is one of the self generated load that is generated by the movement... Show more content

Shoulder deceleration before ball release is not produced by active shoulder antagonist MT, but it
is influenced by IT from elbow extension (Hore, 2010). As a result, MT is predominantly driven by
elbow extensor MT (Hore, 2010).
In a similar study, the Central Nervous System (CNS) is required to generate motor commands by
taking net torque, muscle torque, interaction torque, gravitational torque into consideration to
execute multi joint movement (Hirashima 2003). Throwers were examined by instructing them to
throw balls of different weights and diameter and it was predicted that back forces would adjust the
finger grip force in accordance to the amplitude and finger extension (Harashima, 2003). As a
result, the CNS of the skilled ball throwers could predict for back forces caused by the hand
acceleration (Hirashima, 2003).
In contrary, CNS is only examined through quick movement because of the belief that IT is
acquired on speed (Yamasaki, 2008). Another research opposing the study mentioned that CNS is
unknown in dealing with the IT when adjusting the movement speed in ball throwing movements
(Hirashima, 2003). In conclusion, the central nervous system generates agonist and antagonist
resulting in multi joint movements (Marconi

Stuffed Mushrooms Research Paper
These incredible baked stuffed mushrooms are an impressive and tasty appetizer perfect for a
special occasion meal or cocktail party. Gooey sharp cheddar cheese provides just the right amount
of decadence without over powering the mushrooms. The toaster oven is perfect for this appetizer;
it heats up quickly and bakes quickly. A convection model will ensure even baking and perfect
results. The close proximity of the heating elements in a toaster oven lead to perfectly browned
tops. I m getting hungry just thinking about these delectable treats!
While these stuffed mushrooms may be a special high calorie indulgence not meant for everyday

Honesty In Othello
William Shakespeare is a classic writer and has written several plays. One of his famous plays
he has written was Othello. There are several roles that show throughout the play; false
friendship, race, and gender roles. Iago portrayed himself as honest and truthful, which allowed
him to earn Othello trust. This is what we can see as false friendship and is explicitly in the play.
He hath a person and a smooth dispose to be suspected, framed to make women false. The moor is
of a free and open nature, that thinks men honest that but seem to be so... (Act I, Scene III, 400
403) Iagowas very good at saying the right things at the right time. As the story progresses we see
that Iago not only lied to Othellobut lied to each character along the way. Roderigo and Iago was
false friendship because he was using Roderigo to seek revenge on Othello. Iago tells Othello he
loves Othello so much and that is why he questions about Desdemona honesty towards him. He
apologizes to Othello for loving him so much. ... I humbly do beseech you for your pardon, for
too much loving you. (Act III, scene III, 211 212) Throughout the story I have realized that Iago
misled each character to their downfalls. He is a master manipulator as the audience can all see.
There was an analogy in the play that Iago reference too about gardening and free will. ... Our
bodies are our gardens, to the which our wills are gardeners: so that if we will plant nettles, or sow
lettuce, set hyssop and weed up thyme

Different Cooperative Communication Schemes Like Relay...
Abstract
In this survey, we will discuss about different cooperative communication schemes like Relay
communication and Node cooperative system. Later on we will perform comparison between
conventional communication system and cooperative relay scheme based on power efficiency. We
will also discuss about various factors that will impact the efficiency of cooperative systems. We
will conclude with applications of cooperative communication in LTE advanced.
Cooperative communication
Technological convergence in telecommunications and networking has made it possible to bring
voice, data (internet) and other multimedia services over single channel. This has led to significant
increase in network resource demands especially for wireless networks. To address these
tremendous network demands we need to use communication resources efficiently i.e., through
Cooperative communications.
Cooperative communication system uses intelligent nodes or base stations that can consciously
help other nodes to transfer information from the source to the final destination with increased
spectral efficiency and extended coverage in case of Cellular Base stations.
Cooperation in the communication networks can be realized using Relaying and Node Cooperative
systems [1].
Relay communication system
In Relay system, first transmitter sends the data to the relay node and information received by the
relay node is forwarded to next node and finally to the destination receiver by following cooperation

Birthstones
Birth Stones The first association of a special gem with each month was recorded in the Bible,
in Exodus 28 and 39. An original breastplate of the High Priest of the Hebrews was said to be
made by Moses in 1250 BC, according to instructions he received during 40 days in the
mountains. The 12 gems in the breastplate were later linked with the signs of the zodiac, and later
still associated with the months in the year. Different cultures have different lists. Jewelers lists are
often inconsistent. Unless you re a geologist, the terminology of birthstones may be a bit
confusing. So here s a quick primer on birthstone terms. Minerals are made of inorganic materials

When heated to 400 or 500 degrees Celsius, an amethyst s color changes to a brownish yellow or
red. Under some circumstances, the stones can turn green when heated. Heat may even
transform an amethyst into a naturally rare mineral called citrine. And even without heating, the
violet color of an amethyst may fade over time. Commercial sources of amethyst are Brazil and
Uruguay; while in the U.S., most amethyst is found in Arizona and North Carolina. The
amethyst has a rich history of lore and legend. It can be traced back as far as 25,000 years ago in
France, where it was used as a decorative stone by prehistoric humans. It has also been found
among the remains of Neolithic man. It s said that the signet ring worn by Cleopatra was an
amethyst, engraved with the figure of Mithras, a Persian deity symbolizing the Divine Idea,
Source of Light and Life. It is also said to be the stone of Saint Valentine, who wore an amethyst
engraved with the figure of his assistant, Cupid. Saint Valentine s Day is still observed in
February. The word amethyst comes from the Greek word amethystos meaning not drunk, and was
believed to prevent its wearers from intoxication. The following is a story from Greco Roman
mythology, as quoted from Birthstones by Willard Heaps: Bacchus, the god of wine in classical
mythology, was offended by Diana the huntress. Determined on revenge, he declared that the first

The Shallows Movie Analysis
Do You Fear The Shallows? This movie is a favorite thriller that is a nominee in the People s

and was released in the middle of Summer when everyone is planning their beach vacations in
June. This was not a typical survival sharkattack type of thriller movie like the popular Jaws
movies. Anthony Jaswinski is the original writer of this story line, and Jaume Collet Serra is the
director; these two together have created a great movie. Blake Lively plays the character of
Nancy who is a medical school dropout that has a passion for surfing. She is in search of a beach

After a while the boys leave, but she decides to stay for awhile longer to catch some more waves
before it gets too dark; which was a mistake. Shortly after the boys get to the beach Nancy is
attacked by a huge great white shark. Nancy is on this very isolated beach now injured by a shark
bite to her leg in the middle of the ocean on a big rock that will be going under water at high tide.
She is a medical student drop out, so she knows how to use resources to stitch herself back together
in a very painful way. You can see the pain in Nancy s eyes as she uses her necklace as stitches to
stop her leg from bleeding. Now, what is she going to do to make it back to safety?
In all of the shark scenes, you see an unrealistic great white shark that is huge. While the shark is
scary, but it s bad sizing animations make it look fake in a way. Many people are already afraid
of sharks at any size, so a large yet realistic shark would have made this movie way better. Great
white sharks are the scariest sharks which is why the directors choose this species of shark. Great
white sharks are the stars in many thriller movies involving the ocean. The song choices of the
shark scenes definitely make these scenes even more

The Atrocity Of Genocide
The atrocity of genocide can no longer coexist with humans. The United States needs to lead the
charge in stopping genocide worldwide. With the support of the UN genocide on earth can
completely be destroyed as a problem. The United States is one of the most powerful countries in
the world today. Sitting back and doing nothing is quite selfish. If the United Statesdecides to lead
the charge genocides around the world will stop. For example, in World War II when the U.S
joined, Hitler was brought down quickly and it all ended. This shows that when the United States
has intervened in the past it has worked. Why sit back and do nothing? The amount of people
killed in these genocides is far too many that ever had to die. If the United States

while 39 percent of males say yes to gunownership. Taking the difference from the percentages of
males who say yes and females who say yes , there is a difference of 9 percent. Using the rule of

Through a series of tests, focusing on keeping Gender the independent variable and testing it
against 8 different dependent variable. The results from the study suggest that females tend to
have more liberal opinions towards public policy than males. This is not to say that there is a
large relationship, in point of fact there is a small to an almost non existent relationship. Though
the hypothesis is not wrong, it is not a correct to say with 100% certainty that females will
always have more liberal opinions towards public policy than males. As seen in Tables 7 and 8,
both had small relationships and concluded that for defense sending, males tended to hold more
liberal opinions. And though small by only 5 points, it still exists. The reason for the evening of
opinions between males and females may attribute back to Welch s argument in her paper Are
Women More Liberal Than Men in the US Congress (Welch, 1985). Her conclusion was, though
there is a small relationship with females holding more liberal voting patterns, the gap seems to
be dwindling as years progress. This could be due to the fact that females are becoming a much
more prominent force in politics as opposed to the past. The amount of females with education
may be increasing as well as become more independent from males and able to stand their ground
and hold firm opinions. This paper reaffirms this belief

THE O.J. SIMPSON TRIAL
On June 12,1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were murdered. Their bodies
were discovered outside Nicole Simpson s condominium. Nicole Simpson was the estranged wife
of the famous football player and T.V. star O.J. Simpson. The people directly involved with this
case are Judge Lance Ito, the prosecution lawyers, Marcia Clark and Christopher Darden, the
defense lawyers, Johnnie Cochran, Robert Shapiro and Robert Blasier , the jury and the defendant,
O.J. Simpson. The families of the victims have also been present in the courtroom, as well as other
spectators and news media. This case has heard one hundred and twenty witnesses over a nine

Defence lawyers say Mark Fuhrman was the chief conspirator and depict him as a racist with a
motive to put a bloody glove on O.J. s property. Fuhrman testified under oath that he did not use
any racial slurs in the past ten years but tapes, clearly depicting Fuhrman s racial slurs, prove
otherwise. The defence s theory that he planted the glove is unsupported by any evidence.
Detective Philip Vannatter testified that he didn t consider O.J. a suspect when police entered
his estate without a warrant. Defence called upon Craig and Larry Fiato s testimony to try and
prove that Vannatter was one of many investigators who assumed Simpson was the killer and
later lied to cover up their motives for a warrantless search of O.J. s property. The defence
suggested that Vannatter carried a vial of O.J. s blood and used it to stain pieces of evidence.
The defence suggested that the police pulled a pair of socks out of O.J. s hamper, sprinkled them
with blood and then placed them at the foot of his bed. The prosecution has set out a very specific
timeline. They say Simpson could have committed the murders, rushed back to his place, slipped
inside and got ready to meet a limousine that was waiting to take him to the airport all within this
timeline. The defence says this makes no sense. The defence has a series of witnesses who were
near the condominium at the hour in question and saw

3.0 Causes of Stress
Stressors can be divided into those that arise from within an individual (internal), and those that are
attributable to the environment (external). Internal conflicts, non specific fears, fears of
inadequacy, and guilt feelings are examples of stressors that do not depend on the environment.
Internal sources of stress can arise from an individual s perceptions of an environmental threat, even
if no such danger actually exists. Environmental stressors are external conditions beyond an
individual s control. Bhagat (1983) has reported that work performance can be seriously impaired
by external stressors. There are many aspects of organizational life that can become external
stressors. These include issues of structure, management s use of authority, monotony, a lack of
opportunity for advancement, excessive responsibilities, ambiguous demands, value conflicts, and
unrealistic workloads. A person s non working life (e.g., family, friends, health, and financial
situations) can also contain stressors that negatively impact job performance. This can be
summarized as follows. i. Organizational factors With the growth in organizational stress and

I needed to hit the start button four times which just resulted in a very strange ECG. I later
realized however in order to record the results I had to let it run for a few seconds and then
measure the ECG with the black lines and then press the journal icon to record these results.
1. Are any of the time intervals approximately constant?
There were two intervals remained constant between at rest and after exercise, the PR interval and
the RT interval (there was a clinically insignificant 0.01 second increase in the RT interval after
exercise, however I suspect this was likely due to measurement error error rather than an actual
increase).
2. With the exception of the R R interval, which time interval shows the greatest difference between
resting and post exercise? Explain this observation.
Two intervals did show a significant shorting post exercise. Besides the RR interval, the other
recorded interval which contained a marked shortening after exercise was the TP interval. To
understand why the TP interval is shortened when the heart rate increases and lengthened when the
heart rate slows, one must first understand what the TP interval is. The TP interval, which is the the

Victor Frankenstein: Victor Frankenstein, is the protagonist who describes his life to Robert

This leads to Justine being accused for the murder and is forced to death by the government. I
believe Mary Shelley intends the reader to dislike Victor because of the wrongful actions he takes.
Firstly, when Victor creates the monster, he becomes scared and terrified due to the monster s
physical appearance as result he abandoned it. I noticed that Victor essentially judged the monster
by it s looks rather than the monster s personality. Alongside the other unfair and uneducated
thoughts, the author convinced me that Victor Frankenstein is a hated character.
The Monster: The monster is another main character in the novel as he his creator and the society
judge him based on his physical appearance. The monster shares similar personality traits that I
like and dislike about Victor. I liked that the monster is helpful and friendly to others especially
the De Lacy family. He used to steal their food however he realized that the family faces poverty
and decides to condense their adversity. He beings the father wood during the night and leave it
in front of the door. I also like the fact that he develops his knowledge based on human s actions
and words. For example, he learns the names of each member apart of De Lacy family; Felix and
Agatha. He shows interest to improve his intelligence by reading books and through the
conversations between the De Lacy family. I like his fortitude to confront his creator about his
humanity since his creator ran away from him. Furthermore, I

Assimilation During Immigrants
mmigration is a subject that everyone is talking about. Specifically, assimilation during
immigration. Should people keep their culture or assimilate into society? In all fairness to both
sides of this argument, assimilation is necessary for everyday life to run smoothly for all americans,
not just the immigrants. This is because immigrants will usually not adhere to our food, religion, or
language at first. They then accept that adapting is the only way to survive. The reasoning behind
assimilation is fairly simple. While one could attempt to blend their cultureand ours, if only given
the option of one, there is no question. Hardly anyone can function in a society without adapting to
their environment, which boils down to the very most basic

The Importance Of Patient Privacy And Confidentiality
Patient privacy and confidentiality is one of the most important foundations when establishing a
nurse client relationship. When providing care, it is the licensed practical nurses ethical, and legal
responsibility to uphold a clients privacy and confidentiality. Ethically, nurses are also obligated to
advocate for their patients, provide safety, establish a trusting nurse client relationship, and protect
client information. In relations to the CLPBC Professional Standards of Practice for Licensed
Practical Nurses as well as the Entry to Practice Competencies for Licensed Practical Nurses; this
passage overviews how nurses maintain and promote the privacy and confidentiality of clients and
client information, the actions to take when confidentiality is breached, and how nurses ensure that
all information is collected, used, and disclosed on pertinent information. Understanding the
difference between privacy and confidentiality is the first step for providing ethical, safe,
compassionate, and competent care. Privacy entails the clients individual right to restrict any
information from being disclosed. People tend to only share information to health care providers
when they feel safe, and in control. Confidentiality, is the health care providers responsibility to
keep enclosed, and private. Nurses should only share patient information to direct sources and when
it is to be used for pertinent data. Providing a private and confidential environment will create a

Mao started a variety of economic, agricultural and cultural reforms. One of the many reforms
started by Mao Zedong launched The Great Leap forward . This began in 1958 to help change
China. Mao proposed the land reform and suggested to develop city. The reform makes women,

economic growth, which was very important to China.

leadership and other issues that were seen as threat to the peace of their countries. Most African
people look very anxiously for change as they are very much discontented with their leaders.
This could partly be related to the fact that gaining independence has brought almost no
developmental changes to improve people lives, old structures left behind by colonial rulers
were still the ones in use with no maintenance years after independence. These social movements
came to being as a result of failure of social and economic promises made by the successors of
the colonial governments. My main focus in this paper is to highlight on the recent social
movements and protests in Africa since the 1980s that saw the falling down of both military and
single party state as well as civil wars prevailing in most countries in Africa. Women movements
are very keen during this era of which the Women of LiberiaMass Action for Peace movement is an
example.
The effort of women in Liberia was seen in their struggle with two different radicals bodies which
involved the President Taylor and the Rebels in trying to end the decades of civil war in the
country. The series of wars in the Liberian history resulted in thousands of deaths, disabled, broken
homes causing millions to flee and become refugees into the

Embalming In American Culture
The term embalming is a familiar one in today s society; however, many people are unaware of
what happens during its process. Depending upon the family s wishes, a body may or may not be
embalmed. Culture can also play a part in making that decision. Embalming is a simple process
with rich history that does wonders for a body and families.
The history of embalming goes all the way back to the Civil War. Those who were left needed an
efficient way to take care of the fallen bodies. Dr. Thomas Holmes was the first person to practice
the French s embalming techniques in America. Since families wanted to bring their loved ones
bodies home, this preservation tactic proved worthy. Eventually, many soldiers pre paid to be
embalmed in the course ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some families want to see their loved one for the last time as if they are sleeping. Embalming
makes this possible. The chemicals give the skin a natural color, along with makeup and other
fixings (Godfrey). For many families, this last memory of their loved one is very important
(Embalming).
In rare circumstances, various cultures do not embalm the dead. Islamic and Jewish cultures
refuse to embalm the deceased. It is seen as disrespectful to the body. Bodies are buried within 24
48 hours of their deaths. Hindus do not bury the dead at all; rather, they are burned. Catholicism
requires that a body is buried as soon as arrangements are made. Due to these speedy burials and
requirements, embalming is not necessary here. In fact, embalming is looked down upon in these
cultures (Gray).
Despite common beliefs, embalming is a short process. There are two main parts: internal and
external. First, the blood and other bodily fluids are replaced with embalming fluid. To do this, a
small incision is made to the neck and the two veins are brought up. The body cavity is
punctured and cured as well. Once the inside of the body is completely embalmed, the focus
returns to the external parts. The jaw is shut, the eyes are fixed, and any work to rebuild the face
is done. Then makeup is applied. The hair styling is left up to the cosmetologist in most cases (The

Depending on the emergency contraceptive you want they can be bought: in store, at a
pharmacy, or on line. You need to take them as soon as possible preferably as soon as three days
if possible, but no later than five days after sex for the result to be the most effective. Again they
are used for preventing pregnancy, not for stopping, or aborting it. Contraceptives like condoms,
or other birth control methods are to protect, and hopefully prevent pregnancy if used correctly.
These are not 100% effective either, so do not rely on these methods to prevent STD, STI, or
prevent a 100% of pregnancies. You can find them at your local drugstore, on line, in store or
where ever you may shop. Some of the available methods are sold only by doctors because the
doctor must prescribe it, or a health center. They are used, or inserted in various ways look on the
website listed above, and always follow the directions, on the box; they are placed there for the
safety of your partner(s), and yourself.
In conclusion safe sex is no sex. You learned about contraceptives like condoms, and pills. You

The Sun Is A Star
The Sun is a star that is located at the centre of our solar system composed primarily of hydrogen
and helium with smaller quantities of oxygen, carbon, neon, and iron. The sun keeps our planets in
orbit due to its large gravitational forces and provides our planet with heat. There are many
different ways in which stars can be classified, and The Sunis listed as a G type Main Sequence star
and is also known as a yellow dwarf. It is currently in a phase called the main sequence in which
4 hydrogen atoms are fused together to form 1 helium atom as well as energy (4.3x10 12 joules
worth). Our sun is approximately half way through its main sequence phase, and in approximately
5 billion years it will enter it s post main sequence.
Once all of the hydrogen in the core of the sun is depleted, the sun begins its post main sequence by
ascending the red giant branch, starting with a phenomenon known as shell burning. Once the
hydrogen core is depleted, outward radiation pressure stops and inward gravitational attraction
causes the helium core to contract, converting gravitational potential energy into thermal energy
(http://www.atnf.csiro.au/outreach/education/senior/astrophysics/stellarevolution_postmain.html).
This thermal energy causes an increase in temperature which heats up the hydrogen shell
surrounding its core, and once a certain temperature is reached, hydrogen fusion occurs which
produces more energy than when it was on the main sequence. Due to this increase in

Debating the Takeover After the Death of the Prophet Mohammad
As we know after the death of Prophet Mohammad, the Muslim community turned into disorder
and people started to wonder what would happen now that he is dead as it was understood that he
was the last to come in prophets chain and there will be no one coming after him. Many debates
began about who should take over all the responsibilities he had as he was the spiritual, legal,
political and military leader of the community, so in other words, the debates were whether
Muhammadhad already appointed a successor, if not, then who should be the leader. In this paper, I
will discuss the issues of Divine guidance between the two main political views that took the
debates over when deciding the successor after Muhammad and how the split between them has
shaped the community.
We know that sometimes many events of history are told differently by different groups. The
Sunni view, which has become majority amongst Muslims, believe that there is no such procedure
laid by either Muhammad or by Qur an stating who was to become a successor. As stated the
theory as well as the practice of Sunnism had been to recognize only one caliph: as God s religion is
only one, reflecting the divine unity, so should God s best umma be one explains that, for Sunnis,
as long as the leader ruled under God, following the guidance of Qur an and Sunna, it was a role
that could be fulfilled out with any man, based on his piety and wisdom. Leadership was to be
merit not by inheritance, birth or family.

Euthyphro Dilemma Research Paper
What is the Euthyphro Dilemma or Problem? How is it resolved? First, Socrates encounters
Euthyphro outside the court of Athens, where he was called upon to be charged with impiety by
Meletus, which is the lack of being religious towards god. On the other end, Euthyphro was present
at court that day to prosecute his own father for accidentally murdering an innocent slave worker,
by throwing him in a ditch. Socratesbelieves Euthyphromust know what is right from wrong, if he
is responsible for the prosecution of his own father. Since, Socrates felt sure that the people of
Athenian in general did not understand the true nature of piety or impiety. Euthyphro claims to

true because it is said to be true, or is it true because it has evidence that leads to it being true.

believed that prosecuting his father was the correct thing to do, he thought that being pious or
morally correct were at the same level as the laws of the physical universe, which is everything

The Inclusion Of Special Educational Needs
The inclusion of special educational needs (SEN) students into mainstream schools is a key issue
across England. The Education for All Handicapped Children Act (Public Law 94 142) states that
all handicapped children [have] the right to a free appropriate public education. However, there has
been much debate concerning which approaches have a more active influence on the efficacy of
inclusion. This essay will aim to investigate how practical and successful inclusion techniques are
within a community whilst underlying both the advantages and disadvantages that inclusion may
generate. The terminology associated with this discussion is one of the main factors contributing to
ineffective inclusion. What does it mean to be included? When is the inclusion complete? What is
successful inclusion? How can one achieve the inclusion of all children? These questions are too
open and cannot be resolved without a sole and concise explanation. The term [inclusion] itself
connotes a multiplicity of meanings (Murphy, 1996, p. 471) and as there is very little literature
stating what is meant by inclusion in one concise definition, it constitutes great controversy within
the matter. Therefore, the inclusion of SEN pupils within schools across England has not always
been successful. Despite there being much interpretation to the terminology, integral aspects of the
process can be neglected and may result in segregation still existing within some schools. This
issue may be resolved by

Speech On Tolerance
Mahatma Gandhi once said, silence becomes cowardice when occasion demands speaking out
the whole truth and acting accordingly . Throughout life we are told to be respectful and keep
our mouths shut. In today s society, there s always the uncertainty of how people should deal
with problems. During certain situations, tolerance is not always the right way to find a solution
to a problem. There are often other ways to come to a compromise. To begin with, tolerance can
be portrayed as weakness and people will take advantage of others. When Elie and his father
were taken away to a concentration camp, his father made the mistake of asking where the
toilets were. The gypsy that was in charge of the group treated the father as if he had no soul and
slapped [him] with such force that he fell down and then crawled back to his place on all fours
(Wiesel 39). Elie s father was frightened and did not stand up for himself, he frantically tried to
escape. The leaders saw the brawl and concluded that he was a pathetic individual and concluded
that they could treat him however. Later on, his father obtained the reputation of being a weak
individual which, led to him being beat up more than most of the inmates. If he would not have
crawled away as if he was fragile and showed strength to stand up, the Nazi s would have a more
difficult time taking advantage of him. Even though he couldn t help if he was slapped, tolerating
the beating and escaping into the corner showed his weakness to

Socially Responsible Design Essay
Socially responsible Design
Understanding how to design for the people
Despite marketing forces, design can overcome the barriers/external forces in order to maintain its
integrity and to practice responsibly/ethically.
What is it to be socially responsible? Social responsibility is the idea that designers and businesses
should accept their social responsibilities and not be exclusively focused on maximizing profits.
Social responsibility demands developing businesses to create a positive relationship to the society
or market that they operate in. Within this essay I will be covering the history of socially

These different approaches demonstrate the range of issues that have been impacted on by the
design movement. In the 1960s, the ecological movement in the United States drew attention to
large environmental issues such as high levels of pollution and the depletion of the world s
resources. Designers were pressed to find a greater range of implications of their actions in
terms of societies in the future. This concept later lead to an upsurge of Green Design and eco
design due to an increased interest from businesses and consumers. Green Design aims at
environmental issues as recycling, energy efficiency or design for durability. Eco design takes a
product s life cycle into account, from material extraction through to its eventual disposal; along
side this, designers should attempt to link environmental issues with the social and economic
factors related to quality of life, this is also know as Sustainable Design . Eco design projects
have developed environmentally friendly packaging, redesigned textile ranges and changed
manufacturing processes. An example of a company that develops eco friendly packaging is
Biopac . Biopac are the UK s leading supplier of eco friendly food packaging and catering

A Comparison Of The Unites States And Canada s Health...
A Comparison of the Unites States and Canada s Health Care System America has a very
disorganized and fragmented healthcare system while Canada has a very structured and established
system. Since there is no healthcare system in the world that is considered perfect all countries
implement polices that they believe will be the most beneficial for their residents, The United States
and Canada s systems are both constantly being reformed to fit the current needs their residents
however there are strengths and weaknesses for both of the systems.
United States Health Care System and it s Benefits The United States health care system is
considered broken because we do not have one universal system. Within the American system there
are different types of health insurance such as private, group or self insurance. The United States
works on a fee for service system so the providers receive money for every service they provide
therefore the medical bills for Americans are significantly high. Before the Affordable Care Act
was implemented a few forms of government programs were Medicaid, the Children s Health
insurance Program and Medicare. Medicaid and Children s Health Insurance Program were to

Sex Education Programs
Sex education programs were created to reduce the number of teen pregnancies, sexually
transmitted diseases, and HIV/AIDS. For a long time there has been a debate over which sex
education method, comprehensive or abstinence only, should be taught to adolescents.
Comprehensive sex education is an approach that advocates giving teens age appropriate instruction
concerning birth control methods, safe sex, and differing sexual orientations (Kelly, 2011, p. 153).
This method may encourage abstinence or waiting until marriage, but they also want to inform
adolescents about the potential risks and how to protect themselves from pregnancy or disease.
Abstinence only education is an approach to educating young people that emphasizes the need to
abstain from sexual relations until marriage (Kelly, 2011, p. 154). People who strongly believe in
this method may think that informing young people about contraception and sexual behaviors will
encourage the behavior rather than deter it. The effectiveness of a program is dependant on the
training provided to the educators and how well young people are interpreting and applying the
information. According to the textbook, one study found that adolescents who received
comprehensive sexuality education had a slightly lower rate of intercourse and were less likely to
report pregnancy, but this was not the case with abstinence only education (Kelly, 2011, p. 155).
This same study saw no reduction in the STD rates from either form of

Biological, Psychological, And Socio Environmental Factors
The authors, researchers at the University of Wisconsin Madison and University of Michigan,
studied the biopsychosocial perspective of sexual desire in older adult men and women. The
purpose of the study examined biological, psychological, and socio environmental factors in
understanding sexual desire. They argue, sexual desire is distinct from sexual behavior, and is
the drive behind sexual behavior. Biological changes related to chronic illnesses and
medications, decrease sexual desire and interests in both women and men in older age.
Psychological factors related to negative attitudes about expectations and beliefs of the aging
body. American society idealizes the youthful body images leaving older adults to feel ashamed
of their sexuality. Many older adults engage in sexual activity with a partner. However, desire
decreases with relationship longevity. Furthermore, the loss of a partner may decrease sexual
interests. DeLamater and Moorman reported similar results in subsequent research in 2007. This
study supports the theory that maintaining sexuality intimacy in aging is important to aging
health. The authors, researchers at Boston College and Macalester College, analyzed cross
sectional data from the National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project to explore how sexual
activity affects depression in older adults ages 57 85. Many factors play a role in levels of
sexuality activity such as presence of partner, physiology, and mental health. Aging does not

Analysis Of Grave Of The Fireflies
The film Grave of The Fireflies directed by Isao Takahata is based off true events and is set in
Japan during World War 2, we have seen many movies set in the time of world war two however
there are few movies which are portrayed from the losing side Japan. The movie follows two
kids witnessing a bombing of their home, which subsequently killed their mother due to her
being burned by the fire bombs. The movie is shown through the perspective of the boy s ghost
as it follows the life of himself and his younger sister through hardship and war. We see how the
boy must step up to take care of his sister due to their mother s death and the father who is at war,
we see the bond between the brother and the sister goes beyond this life as the sister s ghost
watches over him and waits for him in the afterlife. I am going to be analysing two scenes in the
film which shape the film because they have the most importance or detail in them. Scene 1 The
scene starts with Seita unveiling a bucket and watching as fireflies disperse into the shelter that
him and his sister are living in. We see, as the fireflies are released and lighting up the shelter and
the faces of the kids as this gives them hope and a distraction of their harsh world that they are
both living in. The siblings lie down and watch as the fireflies disperse throughout the shelter, we
then see a different light in the shelter we can see a distinct difference between this light and the
fireflies as they seem to be forming a

Abstract: Friction stir welding (FSW) process is a new solid state joining technique that is widely
adopted in manufacturing and many fields for joining different metallic alloys which are difficult
to weld by using conventional type such as fusion welding for metals which has lower melting
point. The aluminium alloys are considered because they have successfully contributed in meeting
the rising demand for lightweight structures .The major parameters considered for Friction Stir
Welding process for dissimilar aluminium alloys are tool Rotational Speed, Traverse speed of tool,
Axial load, Tool tilt and plunge depth. This paper provides the overview of change in
microstructural and mechanical properties of dissimilar aluminium alloys based on considering
various welding parameters.

Anne McClintock s Gonad the Barbarian and the Venus Flytrap , focuses a lot of attention on how
from the beginning of history, women have been denied some of the basic rights and freedoms
that have been essential to the way that men live. Starting back from the times where they couldn t
vote and when women were basically seen as property when wedded. Women today and even in
the earlier days could not express their sexualityand could not show that they were sexual beings.
Anne McClintock gives the idea that women should be able to have the things that men have
and they should be able to express it in the same way as men. In this essay, I will analyze how
Anne McClintock views pornography as a form of pleasure that is mostly consumed by men and
how women are incorporated into the employment of the industry and even in the home setting.
Anne McClintock first talks about how women s sexuality has always been suppressed in many
cultures and societies around the world. There is a huge focus on making sure that men are taken
care of sexually and that they are able to go out and show their sexuality and not be ashamed of it.
Men are able to enjoy pornography and not feel guilty about enjoying it because it is apart of their
nature. Everyone knows that men masturbate and they are not really shy with talking about it but
when it comes to women it a foreign topic that if talked about makes you seem to promiscuous.
Anne McClintock shares her story of how she leaves South Africa and

Concrete Angel Analysis
Analysis of Concrete Angel
Many generations view music as a form of entertainment only, so our society tends to overlook the
messages behind the music. Many artists use music to promote their beliefs or inform their listeners
about overlooked issues. Music spreads awareness about misfortunes in the world, and Martina
McBride used her celebrity status to promote her own concerns about child abuse. In 2002, Martina
McBride recorded a song Concrete Angel to spread awareness about child abuse. Her song is
intended for the general population that are bystanders because most people are aware of
tragedies such as child abuse, and most tragedies can be prevented. Through the elements of plot,
character, and foreshadowing, Concrete Angel illustrates the story of a young girl s abuse in
order to call the bystanders to awareness of the societal problem. Throughout the song, the plot
consists of multiple bystanders. The bystander that is mentioned in verse two is, The teacher
wonders, but she doesn t ask/It s hard to see the pain behind the mask (lines 5 6). The teacher
suspects the girl has an issue with abuse, but she ignores her suspicions, assuming the girl is happy
because she hides it well. The teacher s reaction is a common experience for many adults because
adults assume the child appears okay. The following situation that involved a bystander was,
Somebody cries in the middle of the night/The neighbors hear, but they turn out the light (15 16).
The lyric states that

American Bombers Attack Research Papers
A couple of minutes later, the dive bombers from Enterprise arrived due to the decision of LCDR
McClusky to turn northward. These pilots saw four carriers and made at least eight direct hits,
causing Kaga to burst into flame. Due to the sacrificial attack of the torpedo planes, antiaircraft
fire was light and there was no initial fighter opposition for the dive bombers because the fighters
had not had sufficient time to regain altitude, so the bombers were extremely successful. Minutes
later, Yorktown dive bombers arrived, attacking and bombing the Akagi class carrier at the
moment the first Japanese plane started to take off. For both McCluskey s squadron and the
Yorktown planes, the bombs having been left improperly stored allowed each hit to be even more
powerful, leaving both the Akagi and Kaga doomed to sink. Unlike, but also as a result of, the
earlier American attacks, the entire Yorktown squadron returned safely. At the end of this portion
of the battle, three Japanese carriers, Akagi, Kaga, and Soryu had been set on fire, two battleships
had been hit, and one destroyer had been sunk. While submarines were not especially prevalent in
the Battle of Midway, the Nautilus did... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due to the effectiveness of American fighters and antiaircraft fire, no Japanese bomber escaped,
but three hits had been made. Repairs were made quickly, because unlike the Japanese carriers,
Yorktown was salvageable due to its actions, as learned at Coral Sea, to protect itself by having
all aircraft in the air, all ordnance properly stowed, and the fuel lines purged with carbon dioxide.
During the attack on Yorktown, Hiryu made reports which made it possible for American forces to
locate it and attack. Six direct hits were made on Hiryu, causing uncontrollable fires forcing the
crew to abandon ship. With the downfall of all four Japanese carriers, America had won complete
control of the

Discuss the Future of Human Geography with Reference to...
Discuss the future of human geography with reference to the approaches that have emerged since
the 1950s.
Geography found its roots during periods of exploration when man s knowledge of the world was
still subject to the imagination. For many decades, Europe and the British Empire in particular
formed much of what cartography is today, and environmental determinism was widely used to
serve imperialist needs. Many ideas and theories were highly influenced and composed by upper
class academics and soon critiques were formed. During the mid 1930s, environmental determinism
lost much of its support and regional geography fell into to favour. Soon however, regional
geography was also criticised due to its limiting scope and constricting ... Show more content on

Pattinson hoped that through a widened willingness to conceive of and discuss the field in terms of
these traditions, geography will be better able to secure the inner unity and outer intelligibility (W.
Pattinson, 1964). This approach to geography aimed to quell the discourse that was prevalent
within geography and tried to pave a clearer way for geographies future. On the other hand, thinking
in such a law based manner, restricts dynamic thinking, which is where human geography draws its
strengths. I felt that Pattinson still asked more how than why but he certainly helped promote the
growth of geography.
Subsequently, The Big Questions was an article written to try and stimulate thoughts of for the
future as well as trying to gain the attention of the media and the public eye. Susan L. Cutter,
Reginald Golledge and William L. Graff wanted to create a dialogue for the future whilst
tackling questions that already plagued the discipline of geography. As for the future of
geography, this article ask some thought provoking questions such as when does geography start
and finish? (S.L. Cutter, R.Golledge, W.L.Graff, 2002) and what are likely to be the major
problems of doing the geography of other planets? (S.L. Cutter, R.Golledge, W.L.Graff, 2002) If
we are to answer or even begin to answer these questions, we must draw upon the past and in
particular what has transgressed over the 60 years.
Over these years of the evolution of geography naturally

UK fast food industry earned a revenue of $2.2 billion in 2008, which is 4.4% compound annual
growth rate (CAGR) in time interval of 2004 2008. And it is expected to decrease to 3.5% by 2013,
which will generate revenue of about $2.6 billion. In comparison to Germany and France, markets
will grow with CAGR s of 3.8% and 2.7% respectively over the same period. In the period of 2004
2008, UK fast food market grew by 1.4% in 2008. (Data monitor, 2009)
Pestle Analysis of the UK fast food industry:
Political Factors
It refers to the degree of intervention by the government in the economy. VAT and corporation
tax affect the fast food market to a great extent. Corporation tax is paid by every fast food
company that is active in the UK market irrespective of its origin. HMRC collects the corporation
tax which is about 28% on the profit that the company makes including the profit that is made
outside UK; thereby the foreign players have to pay double tax. (HM Revenue amp; Customs) Its
effect was seen, when the announcement to shift its headquarters from London to Geneva was
made by McDonalds in order to avoid the double corporation tax which it was paying earlier.
In contrast, the government reduced VAT from 17.5% to 15% on January 1st, 2009 due to which
the price level went down and the companies in the UK fast food market

God s Message Of Redemption For Mankind
The creation waits eagerly for the sons of God to be revealed; for the creation was made subject
to frustration not willingly, but because of the one who subjected it. But it was given a reliable
hope that it too would be set free from its bondage to decay and would enjoy the freedom
accompanying the glory that Gods children will have. We know that until now, the whole creation
has been groaning as with the pains of childbirth; Romans 8:21 22
I ve heard various preachers say that animals cannot go to heaven because they do not have souls.
They further push this thought by pointing out that Jesus died only to save the sinful souls of
human beings. This reveals both a lack of familiarity with the Scriptures and a failure to understand
God s plan.
The Bible is God s message of redemption for mankind, not animal kind. So its pages only hint at
His intention toward animals. It s an easy matter to show that the ultimate destiny of created things,
including the animals, is included in God s eternal purpose and is linked to the redemption of sinful
mankind. Animals are in no need of redemption
While they are effected by the curse of man they are not fallen as man is. When God s judgment
comes down on mankind, animals suffer along with them for their sins. This can be seen not only
in the Flood story of Noah, but foremost in the story of God sending the ten plagues upon the
Egyptians to free the Israelite slaves.

Determining Optimum Temperature and Ph for Enzymatic...
Enzymes lower the activation energy of chemical reactions but they themselves are not consumed
or altered when doing so. These catalysts work best at optimum temperatures and pH s. The
temperature and pH at which the reaction occurs the quickest is the ideal condition for the
enzymatic reaction.
Alpha amylase converts starch into glucose and when starch is combined with I2KI indicator a dark
purple solution forms. As the enzyme breaks down the starch the absorbency will decrease. The
absorbency is measured through the spectrophotometer which reads the transmittance of the
wavelengths that pass through the solution. In order to determine the optimum temperature for the
enzymatic reaction water bath of varying temperatures were made. To... Show more content on

Materials and Methods A blank cuvette was created in order to set the spectrophotometers
absorbance to zero. Contained in this cuvette was 5mL of distilled water and 0.1mL of I2KI
indicator. This was used to recalibrate the spectrophotometer between the temperature and pH trials
(Vliet, 2007).
To determine the most favorable temperature for the reaction of alpha amylase s enzymatic
conversion of starch to glucose water baths of various temperatures were used. First a stock
solution was prepared prior to the experiment; it included alpha amylase, I2KI indicator and
.0033 g/ml of starch. Thirty five mL of this solution was then combined with 35mL of distilled
water into an Erlenmeyer flask in order to create the reaction flask. The flask was then added
into one of the various water bath temperatures, 15, 35, 45, 55, 65 and 70 #61616; C. The
reaction flask needed to be in the water baths long enough for it to reach the required temperature
before the enzyme was added. 0.1mL of I2KI indicator was then added to each of the twelve
cuvettes which were used in the timed readings. Then 5mL of the solution from the reaction flask
was transferred into one of the cuvettes which contained I2KI indicator. Next, the starch iodine
complexes absorbance were read on the spectrophotometer and recorded onto the appropriate table.
Then, 1mL of alpha amylase was added into the reaction flask to begin the reaction, once

Football Advantages And Disadvantages
One of the first football games, of my freshman year that we weren t supposed to win; however,
we ended up winning by so many points that my head coach told yours truly to allow the opposing
team s participants to tackle myself while running the football. Although I only scored once in that
game, I truly did a little acting when they struggled to tackle yours truly all throughout the
conclusion of the 3rd and 4th quarter. This story is about both having a perceived advantage that
became a disadvantage and a perceived a disadvantage that became a real advantage. It is true that
during the fall of 1991, my footballteam(Little Cypress Mauriceville) remained the underdogs as a
4A school playing against a 5A school in Orange, Texas. That implies their school happened to be
much larger, and I should mention our class had 1,500 students in just my school s freshman class
alone. For years I remember being disappointed the day our head coach wouldn t allow us to run
up the scoreon that cold Friday night. Although, years later it suddenly dawned on me that it would
have been incredibly rude and may have well discouraged the other team s players from ever
getting much better at the sport of football (unless they didn t just up and quit the next day). Our
behavior would have been simply uncouth.
If I could somehow figure out how to travel back in time and explain to my juvenile self how
running up the score would have been rude, crude, and uncivilized. I would have spent less of

Stewardship is defined as the position and duties of a steward, a person who acts as the surrogate
of another of others, especially by managing property, financial affairs, an estate etc. Responsible
for overseeing and protection of something considered worth caring or and preserving
(www.webster.com). The biblehas many examples of stewardship and how it relates to society

Every person has the freedom to develop their God given potential. Developing good
stewardship in the business management practices is to establish good work ethics to
accomplish God s work in the world. Ethical business management practices starts with
maintaining a trustful relationship in the organization. The organization must develop an
organizational culture to use ethical stewardship to sustain in this completive market. Making
good decisions shows your obligation to do what is acceptable. In the book of Luke 10:25 37
speaks about the Good Samaritan and explain how to love one s neighbor (care for their needs).
We are to love our neighbors to fulfill the commandment to show mercy to those who are in
need. In the book of Amos displays a time of prosperity and wealth in the kingdom of Israel, but
the decision was made among the people to live in sin and wickedness. God raised up Amos to
bring warning to the Israelites to change their ways. In scripture God is clear concerning
stewardship and how Christians should apply it to our daily life.
In conclusion stewardship shapes your daily life that identifies your spiritual gifts. God expects
everyone to use their gifts to enhance the creation, society, environment and blessing others. The
talent God gives us is to benefit the community. Obedience to Stewardship opens up the blessings
of God to flow in your life.

Causality And Casuality
This study does not conclusively establish a positive correlation between high testosterone and anti
social behavior. The researchers concluded from a correlational study that a causal relationship
exists, yet that assumption is faulty. Causality cannot be implicated due to reverse causation or a
third confounding variable. Regardless, there is still merit to this data if high testosteroneis said to
not play a predisposing role to aggressiveness. For example, a third variable, physical activity,
tends to increase testosterone. Therefore, actors and NFL players who are more physically active
than ministers, should have higher levels of testosterone; which does not imply high testosterone
leads individuals to choose more anti social and aggressive

Earthworm Research Paper
The Earthworm is a crucial component of the environment due to their interactions with soil which
then, in turn, provides benefits to other living organisms such as their burrowing behavior, which
allows nutrients, air, and water to delve deeper into the soil. After soil is swallowed by the
pharynx, the food matter is sent through the esophagus and into the crop, where the soilis stored
until it interacts with the gizzard. The main function of the gizzard to grind the soils so that it can
enter the intestine, where gland cells within release fluid to aid in the process. When organic matter
is finally excreted from the intestine to the anus through the worm through the process of casting,
more nutrients are introduce into the soil that benefit plantlife. The earthworm also has a brain
located behind its pharynx, called the cerebral ganglia, that is crucial for movement. The... Show

An aquatic vertebrate, the perch has a semi complex digestive system. It consists of the kidneys,
intestines, stomach, pyloric cecum, liver, and esophagus. When food is swallowed by the tongue,
food passes through the esophagus to the stomach, which digests the food then brings it to the
intestines. The liver secretes a bile to aid in the digestion process and the pyloric cecum allows
fermentation to occur. Their nervous system includes a vertebral column, connected by the neural
spine, the spinal cord, and finally the brain. The perch s brain is surrounded by a skull and is
located in the anterior of the body. Also, the perch has both an olfactory bulb and nerve, which
relays sensory information to the brain. Finally, the perch s circulatory system includes the two
chamber heart, a spleen, a ventral aorta (which has four branches), and its gills. Blood leaves the
sinus venosus to the heart, then to the ventricle. The ventral aorta carries the blood to the gills to

Ethnic Unbonding in South Africa
Manuel Castells notion of ethnic unbonding refers to: the gradual withdrawal certain African
Americans are undergoing, so that they no longer are a member of their initial ethnic group. Ethnic
unbonding is a process where individuals remove themselves from their ethnic groups, because they
are either ashamed or humiliated to be associated as part of a stigmatized ethnic identity.
So, race matters a lot. But, at the same time, the class divide among blacks has created such
fundamentally different living conditions that there is growing hostility among the poor against

A similar concept of primary local and secondary ancestral identity is prevalent among people of
Indian descent. The Bantu speaking black peoples have long regarded themselves as South African
despite the attempts of the white authorities to classify them as less than full citizens or as citizens
of ethnic homelands ( Bantustans ) between 1959 and 1991. Strong cultural loyalties to African
languages and local political structures such as the kingdom and the chieftaincy remain an
important component of identity. National identity comes first for all black people, but belonging to
an ethnic, linguistic, and regional grouping and even to an ancestral clan has an important
secondary status. (http://www.everyculture.com/Sa Th/South Africa.html).
As a result of years of racial separation and discrimination, the majority of South African citizens
of which are black, have been severely ill treated based on the colour of their skin. A race is a
population that shares visible physical characteristics from inbreeding and that thinks of itself or is
thought of by outsiders as distinct. It has been used by societies to justify poor treatment of
minority groups ( http://www.sociologyguide.com/questions/ethnicity.php). For decades black
people have been slandered and stereotyped by the white superior citizens, to be uncultured
individuals. White people were entirely prejudiced against the black people.

Web Analytics Tools And The Intelligent Resource
In many companies, regardless of their size, web analytics has been the answer to numerous
questions. Through its utilization, managers have a grasp of the website, visitors and their behavior
so they can be informed of what s working and what is not. For this reason, Web analytics, to a
certain extent, can drive business results. Along with its increasing popularity, there have been
arguments over what should be the ratio for investment on the tools and the intelligent resource. It
goes without saying that web analyticstools are valuable in gathering data across all the pages in a
website and reporting it in neat graphs. However, tools today are still very limited in their capacity
to recommend actions to top managers. This crucial step... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Second, most web analytics tools tend to provide a massive amount of data, but they fail to produce
a meaningful overall picture for managers. Magnificent success comes from the brains behind the
people who can answer business questions and not the tool which can only spew out data. To get
maximum value from data captured, independent of tool, we need to drive success from the brains
behind the people who will provide key insight analysis.
Data is important to any business, but it is of no value to the manager if all the work only
involves collecting and reporting data without the ability to drive business decisions. Web tools
like Yahoo web analytics and Google Analytics are good at answering the what questions, for
example, what happened on this page today? or What was the best marketing channel last year in
terms of site revenue? It cannot be denied that this information is valuable; however, successful
business decisions cannot come from these analytics tools alone. They cannot offer the insights
that an analytics expert can by digging through the maze of data to find meaningful information. In
a word, the Web analytics tool is only useful when it is used by a certified analytics person.
However, some companies fall into the trap of data. They are

  • 2. Group Mind The Group Mind People change to the atmosphere. If you are with a friend you can watch how this attitude changes from when he is with you to when he is set in the group mind around other peers. You can also look at yourself. Humans act on their natural instincts and if you look at yourself and how you act when you are alone compared to how you act in the group mind setting, you will see that you almost dumb yourself down to a level that you think will help you fit in with your friends. If we could just open our eyes, we would see how repetitive and dumb we think inside of our group minds. When you are alone you think about things that are natural to everybody, such as how to improve yourself. Your time alone is the best medicine for... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Then when I was with my friends it completely changed into dirty, mindless jokes and wanting to do things that I would never want my parents to know about. I noticed that no matter who I was around I found it hard to just be myself and the fact that I have been unconsciously doing it all this time made me think of what it would be like if I was just myself or different from what everybody thinks of me. Unfortunately, I never could bring up the courage to be different, so I started to change some of the little things that I did around my friends. I began to lose the interest of my friends and they didn t invite me to as many things or call me to go hang out. Surprisingly, I was ok with it. Changing the way that I acted with my friends made me realize that they were never really my friends. They just accepted me because I wore cool clothes and talked about the stuff that was important to the group. I know now that they are all just acquaintances that I have had some fun times with. As Doris Lessing says in her essay, When we re in a group mind, we tend to think as that group does. It is the hardest thing in the world to maintain an individual dissent opinion as a member of a group. The world is filled with group minds, not only in people but in societies as well. If the majority of a society takes a stance on a subject the rest that don t actually agree in their mind will unconsciously conform to the group mind and agree. The group mind is very ... Muscle Torque Essay Muscle torque is beneficial when multi joint movement (throwing) taken place with accordance to Central Nervous System, Interaction torque, and the muscles involving when torque occurred. Torque in multijoint limb movements doesn t only occur from muscles acting at a specific joint, but from interactions due to the rotations of other joints (Hollerbach and FLash, 1982). In this case, it supports Bernstein s idea that muscletorque at the two joints was not necessary related to each other to produce coordinated joint movement (Turvey 1990). The muscle torque (MT) is a measurement of action muscle torque to rotate the joint (Marconi 2008). Shoulder deceleration before ball release is not produced by active shoulder antagonist MT, but it is influenced by IT from elbow extension (Hore, 2010). As a result, MT is predominantly driven by elbow extensor MT (Hore, 2010). In a similar study, the Central Nervous System (CNS) is required to generate motor commands by taking net torque, muscle torque, interaction torque, gravitational torque into consideration to execute multi joint movement (Hirashima 2003). Throwers were examined by instructing them to throw balls of different weights and diameter and it was predicted that back forces would adjust the finger grip force in accordance to the amplitude and finger extension (Harashima, 2003). As a result, the CNS of the skilled ball throwers could predict for back forces caused by the hand acceleration (Hirashima, 2003). In contrary, CNS is only examined through quick movement because of the belief that IT is acquired on speed (Yamasaki, 2008). Another research opposing the study mentioned that CNS is unknown in dealing with the IT when adjusting the movement speed in ball throwing movements (Hirashima, 2003). In conclusion, the central nervous system generates agonist and antagonist resulting in multi joint movements (Marconi ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are several roles that show throughout the play; false friendship, race, and gender roles. Iago portrayed himself as honest and truthful, which allowed him to earn Othello trust. • 6. Different Cooperative Communication Schemes Like Relay... Abstract In this survey, we will discuss about different cooperative communication schemes like Relay communication and Node cooperative system. Later on we will perform comparison between conventional communication system and cooperative relay scheme based on power efficiency. We will also discuss about various factors that will impact the efficiency of cooperative systems. We will conclude with applications of cooperative communication in LTE advanced. Cooperative communication Technological convergence in telecommunications and networking has made it possible to bring voice, data (internet) and other multimedia services over single channel. This has led to significant increase in network resource demands especially for wireless networks. To address these tremendous network demands we need to use communication resources efficiently i.e., through Cooperative communications. Cooperative communication system uses intelligent nodes or base stations that can consciously help other nodes to transfer information from the source to the final destination with increased spectral efficiency and extended coverage in case of Cellular Base stations. Cooperation in the communication networks can be realized using Relaying and Node Cooperative systems [1]. Relay communication system In Relay system, first transmitter sends the data to the relay node and information received by the relay node is forwarded to next node and finally to the destination receiver by following cooperation ... The 12 gems in the breastplate were later linked with the signs of the zodiac, and later still associated with the months in the year. Different cultures have different lists. Heat may even transform an amethyst into a naturally rare mineral called citrine. And even without heating, the violet color of an amethyst may fade over time. Commercial sources of amethyst are Brazil and Uruguay; while in the U.S., most amethyst is found in Arizona and North Carolina. The amethyst has a rich history of lore and legend. It can be traced back as far as 25,000 years ago in France, where it was used as a decorative stone by prehistoric humans. It has also been found among the remains of Neolithic man. It s said that the signet ring worn by Cleopatra was an amethyst, engraved with the figure of Mithras, a Persian deity symbolizing the Divine Idea, Source of Light and Life. It is also said to be the stone of Saint Valentine, who wore an amethyst engraved with the figure of his assistant, Cupid. Saint Valentine s Day is still observed in February. The word amethyst comes from the Greek word amethystos meaning not drunk, and was believed to prevent its wearers from intoxication. The results from the study suggest that females tend to have more liberal opinions towards public policy than males. This is not to say that there is a large relationship, in point of fact there is a small to an almost non existent relationship. Though the hypothesis is not wrong, it is not a correct to say with 100% certainty that females will always have more liberal opinions towards public policy than males. As seen in Tables 7 and 8, both had small relationships and concluded that for defense sending, males tended to hold more liberal opinions. And though small by only 5 points, it still exists. The reason for the evening of opinions between males and females may attribute back to Welch s argument in her paper Are Women More Liberal Than Men in the US Congress (Welch, 1985). Her conclusion was, though there is a small relationship with females holding more liberal voting patterns, the gap seems to be dwindling as years progress. This could be due to the fact that females are becoming a much more prominent force in politics as opposed to the past. The amount of females with education may be increasing as well as become more independent from males and able to stand their ground and hold firm opinions. This paper reaffirms this belief ... The defence s theory that he planted the glove is unsupported by any evidence. Detective Philip Vannatter testified that he didn t consider O.J. a suspect when police entered his estate without a warrant. Defence called upon Craig and Larry Fiato s testimony to try and prove that Vannatter was one of many investigators who assumed Simpson was the killer and later lied to cover up their motives for a warrantless search of O.J. s property. The defence suggested that Vannatter carried a vial of O.J. s blood and used it to stain pieces of evidence. The defence suggested that the police pulled a pair of socks out of O.J. s hamper, sprinkled them with blood and then placed them at the foot of his bed. Internal sources of stress can arise from an individual s perceptions of an environmental threat, even if no such danger actually exists. This began in 1958 to help change China. Mao proposed the land reform and suggested to develop city. The reform makes women, industry workers and peasant became winners. However, Peasant also got land and change to owner. As far as women s literacy is concerned. There are not women in class when Mao did not launch reforms. After that, women can go to school have a class. The plan was to originally keep China communist, and increase production of agriculture. Mao Zedong put much emphasis on economic growth, which was very important to China. Analysis unsuccessful of Mao Zedong After the Great Leap forward, Mao had launched Great proletarian Cultural Revolution. Unfortunately it was unsuccessful. By 1970, some attempts to stabilize situation, students had been send to countryside to learn from the peasants. As we known sent down youth far away from Beijing etc. in fact, a part of students. • 21. The Social Movements And Protests Of Africa The period preceding independence saw a lot democratic movements in many regions of Africa. The struggles never ended, even after independence. Many African people have to still battle leadership and other issues that were seen as threat to the peace of their countries. Most African people look very anxiously for change as they are very much discontented with their leaders. This could partly be related to the fact that gaining independence has brought almost no developmental changes to improve people lives, old structures left behind by colonial rulers were still the ones in use with no maintenance years after independence. These social movements came to being as a result of failure of social and economic promises made by the successors of the colonial governments. My main focus in this paper is to highlight on the recent social movements and protests in Africa since the 1980s that saw the falling down of both military and single party state as well as civil wars prevailing in most countries in Africa. Women movements are very keen during this era of which the Women of LiberiaMass Action for Peace movement is an example. The effort of women in Liberia was seen in their struggle with two different radicals bodies which involved the President Taylor and the Rebels in trying to end the decades of civil war in the country. The series of wars in the Liberian history resulted in thousands of deaths, disabled, broken homes causing millions to flee and become refugees into the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Depending upon the family s wishes, a body may or may not be embalmed. Culture can also play a part in making that decision. Embalming is a simple process with rich history that does wonders for a body and families. The history of embalming goes all the way back to the Civil War. Those who were left needed an efficient way to take care of the fallen bodies. Dr. Thomas Holmes was the first person to practice the French s embalming techniques in America. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some families want to see their loved one for the last time as if they are sleeping. Embalming makes this possible. The chemicals give the skin a natural color, along with makeup and other fixings (Godfrey). For many families, this last memory of their loved one is very important (Embalming). In rare circumstances, various cultures do not embalm the dead. Islamic and Jewish cultures refuse to embalm the deceased. It is seen as disrespectful to the body. Bodies are buried within 24 48 hours of their deaths. Hindus do not bury the dead at all; rather, they are burned. Catholicism requires that a body is buried as soon as arrangements are made. Due to these speedy burials and requirements, embalming is not necessary here. In fact, embalming is looked down upon in these cultures (Gray). Despite common beliefs, embalming is a short process. There are two main parts: internal and external. First, the blood and other bodily fluids are replaced with embalming fluid. To do this, a small incision is made to the neck and the two veins are brought up. The body cavity is punctured and cured as well. Once the inside of the body is completely embalmed, the focus returns to the external parts. The jaw is shut, the eyes are fixed, and any work to rebuild the face is done. Then makeup is applied. • 24. The Sun Is A Star The Sun is a star that is located at the centre of our solar system composed primarily of hydrogen and helium with smaller quantities of oxygen, carbon, neon, and iron. The sun keeps our planets in orbit due to its large gravitational forces and provides our planet with heat. There are many different ways in which stars can be classified, and The Sunis listed as a G type Main Sequence star and is also known as a yellow dwarf. It is currently in a phase called the main sequence in which 4 hydrogen atoms are fused together to form 1 helium atom as well as energy (4.3x10 12 joules worth). Our sun is approximately half way through its main sequence phase, and in approximately 5 billion years it will enter it s post main sequence. Once all of the hydrogen in the core of the sun is depleted, the sun begins its post main sequence by ascending the red giant branch, starting with a phenomenon known as shell burning. Once the hydrogen core is depleted, outward radiation pressure stops and inward gravitational attraction causes the helium core to contract, converting gravitational potential energy into thermal energy (http://www.atnf.csiro.au/outreach/education/senior/astrophysics/stellarevolution_postmain.html). This thermal energy causes an increase in temperature which heats up the hydrogen shell surrounding its core, and once a certain temperature is reached, hydrogen fusion occurs which produces more energy than when it was on the main sequence. Debating the Takeover After the Death of the Prophet Mohammad As we know after the death of Prophet Mohammad, the Muslim community turned into disorder and people started to wonder what would happen now that he is dead as it was understood that he was the last to come in prophets chain and there will be no one coming after him. Many debates began about who should take over all the responsibilities he had as he was the spiritual, legal, political and military leader of the community, so in other words, the debates were whether Muhammadhad already appointed a successor, if not, then who should be the leader. In this paper, I will discuss the issues of Divine guidance between the two main political views that took the debates over when deciding the successor after Muhammad and how the split between them has shaped the community. We know that sometimes many events of history are told differently by different groups. The Sunni view, which has become majority amongst Muslims, believe that there is no such procedure laid by either Muhammad or by Qur an stating who was to become a successor. As stated the theory as well as the practice of Sunnism had been to recognize only one caliph: as God s religion is only one, reflecting the divine unity, so should God s best umma be one explains that, for Sunnis, as long as the leader ruled under God, following the guidance of Qur an and Sunna, it was a role that could be fulfilled out with any man, based on his piety and wisdom. • 28. The Inclusion Of Special Educational Needs The inclusion of special educational needs (SEN) students into mainstream schools is a key issue across England. The Education for All Handicapped Children Act (Public Law 94 142) states that all handicapped children [have] the right to a free appropriate public education. However, there has been much debate concerning which approaches have a more active influence on the efficacy of inclusion. This essay will aim to investigate how practical and successful inclusion techniques are within a community whilst underlying both the advantages and disadvantages that inclusion may generate. The terminology associated with this discussion is one of the main factors contributing to ineffective inclusion. What does it mean to be included? When is the inclusion complete? What is successful inclusion? How can one achieve the inclusion of all children? These questions are too open and cannot be resolved without a sole and concise explanation. The term [inclusion] itself connotes a multiplicity of meanings (Murphy, 1996, p. 471) and as there is very little literature stating what is meant by inclusion in one concise definition, it constitutes great controversy within the matter. Therefore, the inclusion of SEN pupils within schools across England has not always been successful. Despite there being much interpretation to the terminology, integral aspects of the process can be neglected and may result in segregation still existing within some schools. This issue may be resolved by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Throughout life we are told to be respectful and keep our mouths shut. In today s society, there s always the uncertainty of how people should deal with problems. During certain situations, tolerance is not always the right way to find a solution to a problem. There are often other ways to come to a compromise. To begin with, tolerance can be portrayed as weakness and people will take advantage of others. When Elie and his father were taken away to a concentration camp, his father made the mistake of asking where the toilets were. The gypsy that was in charge of the group treated the father as if he had no soul and slapped [him] with such force that he fell down and then crawled back to his place on all fours (Wiesel 39). Elie s father was frightened and did not stand up for himself, he frantically tried to escape. The leaders saw the brawl and concluded that he was a pathetic individual and concluded that they could treat him however. Later on, his father obtained the reputation of being a weak individual which, led to him being beat up more than most of the inmates. If he would not have crawled away as if he was fragile and showed strength to stand up, the Nazi s would have a more difficult time taking advantage of him. • 32. Sex Education Programs Sex education programs were created to reduce the number of teen pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, and HIV/AIDS. For a long time there has been a debate over which sex education method, comprehensive or abstinence only, should be taught to adolescents. Comprehensive sex education is an approach that advocates giving teens age appropriate instruction concerning birth control methods, safe sex, and differing sexual orientations (Kelly, 2011, p. 153). This method may encourage abstinence or waiting until marriage, but they also want to inform adolescents about the potential risks and how to protect themselves from pregnancy or disease. Abstinence only education is an approach to educating young people that emphasizes the need to abstain from sexual relations until marriage (Kelly, 2011, p. 154). People who strongly believe in this method may think that informing young people about contraception and sexual behaviors will encourage the behavior rather than deter it. The effectiveness of a program is dependant on the training provided to the educators and how well young people are interpreting and applying the information. According to the textbook, one study found that adolescents who received comprehensive sexuality education had a slightly lower rate of intercourse and were less likely to report pregnancy, but this was not the case with abstinence only education (Kelly, 2011, p. 155). Psychological factors related to negative attitudes about expectations and beliefs of the aging body. American society idealizes the youthful body images leaving older adults to feel ashamed of their sexuality. Many older adults engage in sexual activity with a partner. • 43. Summary Of Gonad The Barbarian And The Venus Flytrap Anne McClintock s Gonad the Barbarian and the Venus Flytrap , focuses a lot of attention on how from the beginning of history, women have been denied some of the basic rights and freedoms that have been essential to the way that men live. Starting back from the times where they couldn t vote and when women were basically seen as property when wedded. Women today and even in the earlier days could not express their sexualityand could not show that they were sexual beings. Anne McClintock gives the idea that women should be able to have the things that men have and they should be able to express it in the same way as men. In this essay, I will analyze how Anne McClintock views pornography as a form of pleasure that is mostly consumed by men and how women are incorporated into the employment of the industry and even in the home setting. Anne McClintock first talks about how women s sexuality has always been suppressed in many cultures and societies around the world. There is a huge focus on making sure that men are taken care of sexually and that they are able to go out and show their sexuality and not be ashamed of it. Men are able to enjoy pornography and not feel guilty about enjoying it because it is apart of their nature. Everyone knows that men masturbate and they are not really shy with talking about it but when it comes to women it a foreign topic that if talked about makes you seem to promiscuous. Anne McClintock shares her story of how she leaves South Africa and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Concrete Angel Analysis Analysis of Concrete Angel Many generations view music as a form of entertainment only, so our society tends to overlook the messages behind the music. Many artists use music to promote their beliefs or inform their listeners about overlooked issues. Music spreads awareness about misfortunes in the world, and Martina McBride used her celebrity status to promote her own concerns about child abuse. In 2002, Martina McBride recorded a song Concrete Angel to spread awareness about child abuse. Her song is intended for the general population that are bystanders because most people are aware of tragedies such as child abuse, and most tragedies can be prevented. Through the elements of plot, character, and foreshadowing, Concrete Angel illustrates the story of a young girl s abuse in order to call the bystanders to awareness of the societal problem. Throughout the song, the plot consists of multiple bystanders. The bystander that is mentioned in verse two is, The teacher wonders, but she doesn t ask/It s hard to see the pain behind the mask (lines 5 6). The teacher suspects the girl has an issue with abuse, but she ignores her suspicions, assuming the girl is happy because she hides it well. The teacher s reaction is a common experience for many adults because adults assume the child appears okay. The following situation that involved a bystander was, Somebody cries in the middle of the night/The neighbors hear, but they turn out the light (15 16). The lyric states that ... These pilots saw four carriers and made at least eight direct hits, causing Kaga to burst into flame. Due to the sacrificial attack of the torpedo planes, antiaircraft fire was light and there was no initial fighter opposition for the dive bombers because the fighters had not had sufficient time to regain altitude, so the bombers were extremely successful. Minutes later, Yorktown dive bombers arrived, attacking and bombing the Akagi class carrier at the moment the first Japanese plane started to take off. For both McCluskey s squadron and the Yorktown planes, the bombs having been left improperly stored allowed each hit to be even more powerful, leaving both the Akagi and Kaga doomed to sink. Unlike, but also as a result of, the earlier American attacks, the entire Yorktown squadron returned safely. At the end of this portion of the battle, three Japanese carriers, Akagi, Kaga, and Soryu had been set on fire, two battleships had been hit, and one destroyer had been sunk. While submarines were not especially prevalent in the Battle of Midway, the Nautilus did... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Repairs were made quickly, because unlike the Japanese carriers, Yorktown was salvageable due to its actions, as learned at Coral Sea, to protect itself by having all aircraft in the air, all ordnance properly stowed, and the fuel lines purged with carbon dioxide. During the attack on Yorktown, Hiryu made reports which made it possible for American forces to locate it and attack. Six direct hits were made on Hiryu, causing uncontrollable fires forcing the crew to abandon ship. With the downfall of all four Japanese carriers, America had won complete control of the ... Geography found its roots during periods of exploration when man s knowledge of the world was still subject to the imagination. For many decades, Europe and the British Empire in particular formed much of what cartography is today, and environmental determinism was widely used to serve imperialist needs. Many ideas and theories were highly influenced and composed by upper class academics and soon critiques were formed. During the mid 1930s, environmental determinism lost much of its support and regional geography fell into to favour. Soon however, regional geography was also criticised due to its limiting scope and constricting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Pattinson hoped that through a widened willingness to conceive of and discuss the field in terms of these traditions, geography will be better able to secure the inner unity and outer intelligibility (W. Pattinson, 1964). This approach to geography aimed to quell the discourse that was prevalent within geography and tried to pave a clearer way for geographies future. On the other hand, thinking in such a law based manner, restricts dynamic thinking, which is where human geography draws its strengths. I felt that Pattinson still asked more how than why but he certainly helped promote the growth of geography. Subsequently, The Big Questions was an article written to try and stimulate thoughts of for the future as well as trying to gain the attention of the media and the public eye. Susan L. • 48. God s Message Of Redemption For Mankind The creation waits eagerly for the sons of God to be revealed; for the creation was made subject to frustration not willingly, but because of the one who subjected it. But it was given a reliable hope that it too would be set free from its bondage to decay and would enjoy the freedom accompanying the glory that Gods children will have. We know that until now, the whole creation has been groaning as with the pains of childbirth; Romans 8:21 22 I ve heard various preachers say that animals cannot go to heaven because they do not have souls. They further push this thought by pointing out that Jesus died only to save the sinful souls of human beings. This reveals both a lack of familiarity with the Scriptures and a failure to understand God s plan. The Bible is God s message of redemption for mankind, not animal kind. So its pages only hint at His intention toward animals. It s an easy matter to show that the ultimate destiny of created things, including the animals, is included in God s eternal purpose and is linked to the redemption of sinful mankind. Animals are in no need of redemption While they are effected by the curse of man they are not fallen as man is. When God s judgment comes down on mankind, animals suffer along with them for their sins. This can be seen not only in the Flood story of Noah, but foremost in the story of God sending the ten plagues upon the Egyptians to free the Israelite slaves. These catalysts work best at optimum temperatures and pH s. The temperature and pH at which the reaction occurs the quickest is the ideal condition for the enzymatic reaction. Alpha amylase converts starch into glucose and when starch is combined with I2KI indicator a dark purple solution forms. As the enzyme breaks down the starch the absorbency will decrease. The absorbency is measured through the spectrophotometer which reads the transmittance of the wavelengths that pass through the solution. Materials and Methods A blank cuvette was created in order to set the spectrophotometers absorbance to zero. Contained in this cuvette was 5mL of distilled water and 0.1mL of I2KI indicator. This was used to recalibrate the spectrophotometer between the temperature and pH trials (Vliet, 2007). To determine the most favorable temperature for the reaction of alpha amylase s enzymatic conversion of starch to glucose water baths of various temperatures were used. First a stock solution was prepared prior to the experiment; it included alpha amylase, I2KI indicator and .0033 g/ml of starch. Thirty five mL of this solution was then combined with 35mL of distilled water into an Erlenmeyer flask in order to create the reaction flask. The flask was then added into one of the various water bath temperatures, 15, 35, 45, 55, 65 and 70 #61616; C. The reaction flask needed to be in the water baths long enough for it to reach the required temperature before the enzyme was added. 0.1mL of I2KI indicator was then added to each of the twelve cuvettes which were used in the timed readings. Then 5mL of the solution from the reaction flask was transferred into one of the cuvettes which contained I2KI indicator. Next, the starch iodine complexes absorbance were read on the spectrophotometer and recorded onto the appropriate table. For years I remember being disappointed the day our head coach wouldn t allow us to run up the scoreon that cold Friday night. Although, years later it suddenly dawned on me that it would have been incredibly rude and may have well discouraged the other team s players from ever getting much better at the sport of football (unless they didn t just up and quit the next day).
