Project description
Project of a wireless terminal for power consumption meters. Main aim was to provide continuous metering
functionalities. Embedded communication terminal was responsible for sending data to a web server where all
data was presented in a real-time updated chart. The terminal was connected to the power consumption
meter via RS232/485 interface and then used GPRS/CSD protocol to transmit collected data.
Area of responsibility
- software development, and verification
- hardware design of communication terminal
Terminals were programmed with Java midlet software.
A dedicated GUI application on the web server was used to configure the terminal’s functionalities, e.g. for
which IP data should be send, cutting of supply once the bill wasn’t paid, etc.

Project description
The project’s aim was to develop a device for the automotive industry that triggers an „Emergency Call” after
airbags ignition during an accident. The device, together with software, was designed for a large European
Automotive company. Main aim of the project was to achieve less than 10s delay between the accident and
information delivery to PSAP call center.
Functionalities of the system were based on European Union requirements.
