The document outlines a lesson plan for a second grade classroom. It will use podcasts, digital images, and a webquest to teach students about adolescent development over five days. Specifically, it will focus on physical and cognitive development. To start each lesson, the students will listen to a podcast of a book being read while viewing the pages. They will then discuss the book and questions from a related digital image in groups. Finally, the students will complete a webquest individually to assess their learning. The plan is to have 95% of students accurately describe and explain the developmental aspects of adolescence through these interactive activities and discussions.

Assure Method- Day 4
1. A- Analyze Learner:
I will be teaching a Second Grade classroom with twenty students.
Twelve of those students will be girls and eight will be boys. They will
be from low-income families, three students are Hispanic, and two
students have mild ADD.
2. S- State Objective:
My students will describe and explain the different developmental
aspects of adolescence through class discussion with a Podcast, Digital
Imaging, and a WebQuest within five days with 95% accuracy.
3. S- Select Methods, Media, and Materials:
In order for my students to learn this Unit Plan, I will incorporate
many learning styles to help them accomplish the task.
o Podcast: The students will listen to a podcast of me reading the
book Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. We will discuss the
book as well.
o Digital Imaging: The students will see a picture that I made that
will ask a question that they must get in groups to answer.
o WebQuest: The students will complete another WebQuest. This
will be their assessment for the day.
2. 4. U- Utilize the Media and Materials:
Before class, I will pull up the Podcast for the children to listen to. I
will also have the book out and turn the pages while they listen to the
Podcast. I will also pull up the digital imaging picture and the
WebQuest so the students can see what they will be doing.
5. R- Require Student Participation
6. Each day I will be teaching on Physical, and Cognitive Development. Every
technology used will talk about development in a certain way. Some
technologies will require student participation because they will be used for
assessments. I will start the class by letting the students listen to the Podcast
while I turn the pages of the book. We will discuss the book after the Podcast
is over. Then the students will get together in groups and discuss the
question posed by the digital imaging picture. The students will discuss
teenagers and what type of development they go through during this stage.
They will then differentiate between teenagers and children. The students
will then go to the computer lab and do the WebQuest. This WebQuest will be
their assessment for the day.
7. E- Evaluate and Revise
Students will be evaluated by their answers to discussion questions
and by the WebQuest that they will finish in class. By Day 4, the
students will know most of the physical changes in life and some
cognitive developments that have occurred during those stages. Their
discussions will be more in depth than Day 1.
